I like how they are confidently answering the questions. It's accurate. Their talent flexing is not offensive, they're humble, and their answers are clear and well said. They are also transparent and honest, like how Lily said that their genre might not be everyone's cup of tea at first listen but will grow once you listen repeatedly for example.

Haewon went from speaking near-fluent English at the start of this interview to speaking mostly in Korean by the end, even though the questions weren't any more difficult… I think her brain got tired -- yes that's really a thing that happens. I'm still proud of our Leader for always trying her best, along with Lily & Sully attempting Spanish and Bae being Bae 😆
Had to come back to comment on how Lily pointed out that one of the big things that makes NMIXX special is their live singing and performances. I'm so glad she spoke on this. They are all top tier vocalist. In a world of autotuned lip syncing idols, NMIXX really is the anomaly. They are setting a standard that all groups should strive for. And that's why when they tour the states, I will be there because I value live singing and they're actually worth spending the money on. The theatrics and dancing are important, but the singing should be any groups number one priority.
A singer that can't sing their own songs, it's very lame in my opinion. K-pop used to be really vocal-heavy with groups like Big mama, the grace, S.E.S and more but among the active groups there is only NMIXX now that I can tell that they have actual vocal and musical training.

You can really see how HaeWon has worked really hard in learning to speak English. The way she confidently answers in straight English. She may not be very fluent yet, but she's definitely getting very close. And her accent is music to my ears ❤
I'm sorry but Haewon's fluency in conversing in english is SOOOOOO amazing and I find it so attractive on her. I was already a huge fan of hers and this side of hers just adds so much more to that. I'm so proud of NMIXX! The girls have always trusted each other, they trusted their skills, their hard work, their dedication, knowing that those will never betray them. It hasn't been easy, but they continue to trust the process. Other than their amazing vocal skills, dancing, and stage presence. What I admire the most about them is their dedication to their craft. They have never been and will never be stagnant, they continue to hone their craft, and with it grow and improve at every turn. True artists indeed! They never compromise, they stay true to their art, their artistic identity no matter what everyone else says. Their mastery of vocal techniques, especially their deeply rooted foundation of their basics will be the key to longevity and vocal health. I always say, I would rather have my favorite artist slowly but surely climb up to the top, rather than shoot to the top from the get go, only to crash and burn just as fast. Anyways, I'm glad that they got this opportunity, and have started to get the recognition they've always deserved, most especially this year.

Nmixx es un grupo perfecto, el hecho que se ganen su fama por su cuenta da mucho de que hablar (para mi eso es mas importante ya que conseguiran verdaderos fans), actualmente los grupos son famosos por ser bonitas y ya, hasta empiezan seguir un grupo porque una se les hace bonita, prácticamente sintiendose como un objeto que se puede sustituir por otras. Pero nmixx no es el caso, son chicas que se nota que les importa la musica, seguir mejorando a pesar de ser buenas en su trabajo, y les gusta subir al escenario a cantar (sin miedo), algo que ya casi no se ve, la verdad, es el mejor grupo que descubrí y para mi lo sera por siempre. P.d. Feliz por vivir en el mismo tiempo que nmixx 😊.
No me creo que hablaron de querer venir a Viña del mar 🥹 sería maravilloso que vinieran a conocer mi ciudad ya que nunca vienen a Viña, normalmente cuando viene algún artista a Chile, va a Santiago. Haewon is at the 2nd-highest level of proficiency -- she knows enough to know what she doesn't know, and that can really trip you up especially when you're constantly paired with a native speaker like Lily. Wow. The questions were not easy and not frequently asked questions to them that they can answer without giving a second thought but they really did well. I loved the way they really answered honestly lot of kpop idol wont answer with this much honesty. Lily and haewon were too good at answering.
Lily making a point about studying the genres and respecting the target cultures kpop artists are tapping into after so many controversies with cultural appropriation and cultural sensitivities is so wise and so sensible. I think it is no doubt that kpop has always been and will continue to borrow elements from other genres from different cultures and parts of the world and it can be an amazing fusion when it's done from a pov of awareness and genuine appreciation. Nmixx clearly has been targeted into the spanish speaking market since day one as they say, but I appreciate the effort of having them take classes, be aware and listen to musical references of the target culture (I definitely was pleasently surprised Kyujin mentioned Gloria Estefan considering she's like 17?) rather than just trying to profit off sounds and words in spanish thrown here and there.
my girls did so well for this interview and i feel so proud of them. the interview is not easy at all being in a new environment and the questions were hard too. i just wished the interviewer was more engaged bcs that would've enlighten the mood of the room for the girls and im so glad the girls were able to get through the interview and rely on one another.
How good for my girls 👏. Wow 😲😱, I ended up like this because of how eloquent and coherent Lily is when expressing herself. You can see that she is a girl who studies a lot (my perception). But in general, I am happy for them and that they continue to reap success. Fans contribute a lot to the artistic career of a singer, so it is of the utmost importance that they continue to believe in them to continue promoting their concept of mixing and their songs. I'm so proud of NMIXX! The girls have always trusted each other, they trusted their skills, their hard work, their dedication, knowing that those will never betray them. It hasn't been easy, but they continue to trust the process. Other than their amazing vocal skills, dancing, and stage presence. What I admire the most about them is their dedication to their craft. They have never been and will never be stagnant, they continue to hone their craft, and with it grow and improve at every turn. True artists indeed! They never compromise, they stay true to their art, their artistic identity no matter what everyone else says. Their mastery of vocal techniques, especially their deeply rooted foundation of their basics will be the key to longevity and vocal health. I always say, I would rather have my favorite artist slowly but surely climb up to the top, rather than shoot to the top from the get go, only to crash and burn just as fast. Anyways, I'm glad that they got this opportunity, and have started to get the recognition they've always deserved, most especially this year.

Nmixx es un grupo perfecto, el hecho que se ganen su fama por su cuenta da mucho de que hablar (para mi eso es mas importante ya que conseguiran verdaderos fans), actualmente los grupos son famosos por ser bonitas y ya, hasta empiezan seguir un grupo porque una se les hace bonita, prácticamente sintiendose como un objeto que se puede sustituir por otras. Pero nmixx no es el caso, son chicas que se nota que les importa la musica, seguir mejorando a pesar de ser buenas en su trabajo, y les gusta subir al escenario a cantar (sin miedo), algo que ya casi no se ve, la verdad, es el mejor grupo que descubrí y para mi lo sera por siempre.
P.d. Feliz por vivir en el mismo tiempo que nmixx 😊.

Wow. The questions were not easy and not frequently asked questions to them that they can answer without giving a second thought but they really did well. I loved the way they really answered honestly lot of kpop idol wont answer with this much honesty.

Lily making a point about studying the genres and respecting the target cultures kpop artists are tapping into after so many controversies with cultural appropriation and cultural sensitivities is so wise and so sensible. I think it is no doubt that kpop has always been and will continue to borrow elements from other genres from different cultures and parts of the world and it can be an amazing fusion when it's done from a pov of awareness and genuine appreciation. Nmixx clearly has been targeted into the spanish speaking market since day one as they say, but I appreciate the effort of having them take classes, be aware and listen to musical references of the target culture (I definitely was pleasently surprised Kyujin mentioned Gloria Estefan considering she's like 17?) rather than just trying to profit off sounds and words in spanish thrown here and there.

my girls did so well for this interview and i feel so proud of them. the interview is not easy at all being in a new environment and the questions were hard too. i just wished the interviewer was more engaged bcs that would've enlighten the mood of the room for the girls and im so glad the girls were able to get through the interview and rely on one another.
How good for my girls 👏. Wow 😲😱, I ended up like this because of how eloquent and coherent Lily is when expressing herself. You can see that she is a girl who studies a lot (my perception). But in general, I am happy for them and that they continue to reap success. Fans contribute a lot to the artistic career of a singer, so it is of the utmost importance that they continue to believe in them to continue promoting their concept of mixing and their songs.
