    As a beginner who was nervous about going into the gym because I wasn't sure about the machines and how to use them, your videos have been a great help! Thank you for taking the time to make these - now I feel I'm more prepared to head into Planet Fitness and get some good workouts in.

      A basic chest routine for me would be 4 sets of 10 flat bench, 4 sets of 10 incline bench, 4 sets of 10 decline bench, 5 sets of 10 dumbbell press, 5 sets of 10 dumbbell fly. That would be my bare minimum.

      The stair climber does have an emergency stop buttons and yes people have fallen off them (it happens)I suggest manual setting as you control the climber speeds and levels when first learning to use it.With treadmill there is an emergency stop pull cord you clip to you and stop button near the control panel .I run 6 days a week 5 miles a day at 6 mph and I still clip the emergency pull stop cord.Even experienced runners occasionally get flung off the treadmill LOL my ego did take a hit but luckily I wasn’t seriously injured .Hasn’t happened to me in a long time but it has happened.The main thing to stop that treadmill immediately for safety and again I suggest manual only you control the speed

    I can do 30 minutes walking fast walking on a tread mil. But I can’t stand the burn on the thighs while on the stair master. I’ll start at a slow speed and work my way up.

    Thank you for this video!! Quick and to the point. I specifically searched for this because this is the machine I avoid because I don’t know how to use it and don’t want to look crazy up there. I go to a 24 hour gym so not always staff on duty. Thank you!!😁😁😁😁😁😁😁

    The Planet Fitness near me doesn't have a Stair Master. I'm thinking of joining LA Fitness again, unfortunately. Now LA is three miles further, but for the use of a Stair Master it's worth it. Forget the Elliptical and Treadmill, I've found this is machine is much more efficient.

  • @wiseowl282

    The Stair Master is nothing more than an escalator moving at different speeds.
    Only you are repeating the steps.

    Does slower mean more intensity are you getting a more intense work out the slower you go? It seems like its harder to climb the the slower it is.

    I must be the only person left on earth who wasn't hatched from a pod? How 'bout we wash our hands when we arrive, don't pick our nose while there, then wash our hands when we leave (if you want)? If you're a germaphobe, wipe down the equipment before you use it. Problem solved. My hands will be thankful for not being subjected to chemicals. and crazy rashes from cleaning products. This cleaning is just another compliance test.

    StairMaster is a copyright brand. they are called power mills. might want to eliminate that phrase before you get planet fitness in lawsuit terms for advertising StairMaster when its a Matrix Power Mill

    • @raiderwsu
      @raiderwsu 6 лет назад

      Actually, for that particular brand, Matrix, it is called a ClimbMill.
