There is absolutely no reason for a rematch. Spence took an absolute shellacking, and though he is good at his style, he only has one style and is no where near adaptable enough to make this competitive against Crawford. It's not like this was a close fight where Errol can take something positive away. He was absolutely smashed to pieces when he believed in his heart he would dominate. That is a massively hard pill to swallow. If they rematch Errol gets stopped even earlier. I can't see any credible argument for it, other than it is already contracted.

From the way you speak, you were never an athlete, so it is easy for you to say what you said, which is basically to give up, quit, and feel sorry for yourself. If Spence was not partially impaired health-wise, then let him be the warrior that he is and come back and get his lick. You talk like a soldier-- reason why there are few warriors. As long as Spence is not seriously bodily hurt, let him be that athlete, most importantly, that man to grow and improve. No, he may not win a second match, but he may be able to redeem himself to be able to once again be at peace with himself. Too many chumps nowadays.

I've always been a fan of both, followed both of their careers throughout their journey to becoming champions in the sport, I knew the fork in the road would lead them to clash and lock horns one day, as 2 kings can't exist in 1 kingdom, I always gave Crawford the "slight edge" due to the stylistic advantage he possessed, never imagined it would end up a slaughtering one-sided dominance. This fight was just simply settling the score on who was the better between the two, nooobody for one second should count Spence out as over and done, he'll still decimate anyone else in the 147 (well it's a maybe on Boots), or the 154 division, yes when he bounces back, he will come back with a vengeance and reign supreme again, but unfortunately not against Crawford, Spence is still a threatening terror

This wasn't a close fight AT ALL. So the idea is that Spence (following the beating he took) is going to be the Spence of old moving up and that Crawford going to 154 isn't going to be 1/4 of what he was Saturday?
At some point there has to be.....ACCEPTANCE. Errol Spence was ALWAYS a good fighter. Crawford is and always was...BETTER, no matter the weight . - Rob M

Spence suffered a breakdown in confidence after the first knockdown. His wide feet stance while trying to throw punches to the body left him unbalanced as he reset his feet and likely to lose balance and fall if countered or pushed slightly. Crawford was focused on his defense, stayed big and close and punished every mistake with precision. It was a lesson on how the mind affects performance. When you panic during any task, you are likely to make more mistakes out of fear while forgetting your training.

I had picked Crawford for the win. but I thought Spence was going to give him allot more trouble than he did. I don't think Spence was as fast or as sharp in this last fight as he was against Porter. I even think that Spence might already be a little punch drunk. he talks a little bit slurry. and I'm not sure if he should fight at all anymore. but in my opinion Crawford should go right up to 154 and take on Charlo for all of the belts. and if Crawford wins the belts. then Spence would really have something to fight for at 154 other then just trying to get back his loss with Crawford. if Crawford and Spence fight next in maybe December at 154. would they be fighting for a belt. and then what happens with he 147 belts ? it seems like Spence would want to get his 147 belts back and fulfill his dream of being undisputed at 147. so he should either fight Crawford right away at 147 to get all the 147 belts back. or he should let Crawford try to win the 154 belts before he fights him again at 154. personally I think there is something about Spence that is just not right. and I mean before he fought Crawford. just the look in his eyes and the way he talks.

Spence will rise something crazy and shock the world, 154 was what was missing in the fight that would’ve never happened

Shawn do you wanna see Errol Spence Jr flatline in the ring like Apollo Creed or something? Is a rematch absolutely necessary? 😂😂😂

Spence has nothing to prove to no one, his health way more important than legacy. I really hope he doesn’t take the rematch as I fear he’ll get seriously hurt.

I really appreciate how real Carsten keeps it. He’s not a yes man no matter who’s in the room, he will always give an honest take and speak his convictions. You need people like him in your corner. He will always say the thing that most people want to say but will keep their mouth shut; big fan of how real you keep it.

Porter lost it he's lettin' his teeth talk for his mouth...errol took a beating dude may never be the same...dude had nothing from round 1...dude looked like he knew he had nothing to offer to keep crawford off him same exact way fulton knew he was done during rd 1 to inoue. You could see their soul haul ass and left their body behind to take a beating.
