Greetings from Torrance! That was definitely a game of patience. One quad can change everything, but you have to wait for it to happen. Thanks again and stay warm out there in Utah!
Thanks for the analysis Andrew. I wish they had more multi line 8/5 bonus machines, they are one of my favorite games. Palms has them on spin poker deluxe for 20 lines and Resorts World has them for 25-100 at 50 cent and up denomination. Seems like something up John’s World’s alley.
Nice video Andrew. I love the way you play and commentary. It's nice to see such good play. I totally get trying to reach a goal and come within reaching it, and blamo, I lose a bunch of hands. Sometimes I cheat and put money in to reach the goal. That's only if I am within 25 of my goal. Thanks again for a great video and for giving John kudos. Both of you are such nice people. How are your kids are they still racing? Take care and good luck with your video poker goals.
I got two straight flushes within 30 minutes of each other playing single line last week. First one was on a 50 cent 9/6 JoB game at 4q. Second one was on a 50 cent machine at golden nugget and had a 3x super times pay multiplier for $375. I was dealt 3 5 6 7 of hearts and the 3x multiplier binked the 4h in the middle. Second one was a lousy game I was just playing with my freeplay.
I’ll ask one question… What exactly is the point of playing perfect strategy chasing an expected (key word) return that is less than 100%? I agree that you need to go for some top paying hands at the expense of marginal EV. Otherwise you are guaranteed to lose over time. Especially playing big. More importantly, the casual player needs to chase some bigger hands.
I would guess to get the comps which might put you in profit long-term. Also to keep you around long enough to get that big hit since variance from effected ev goes both ways.
I’ll try to answer this without peeking at what others have said. Most video poker games are designed to pay at best 99.xx with some exceptions either way but let’s use 9/6 jacks or better with a 99.54% Theo long term return. Playing every hand with the worst possible hold reduces that return into the low teen % if I recall accurately. The idea in video poker is to get as close to perfect as to keep yourself in the game for two reasons, first to hit a hand large enough you book a win or the ever so rare royal flush long term. In doing so, by lasting longer you are also putting more play and time into the machine which you get more things from the casino which are leverage-able which I won’t get into here but the point is, learn the game to reduce your lifetime expected losses lower. Don’t and expect to go broke much faster and get less from the Casino. Cheers.
Ever thought of varying your bets? When I get close to a goal and notice it stops for a while, I drop down to 2 units for a couple of hands before I increase back up to 5 units.
Boy, did that machine try and screw you! I think you might've switched to BPDLX for at least a couple of hands after it took u under 2K. Good job hanging in there until you got the K's.
Okay, when there is nothing else going on I'm going to hold four for to an inside straight... Maybe no face cards involved but it may at least be better than a five card draw... What say you?...
Playing no where near perfect. Lots of weak or just plain incorrect holds. I assume that you know you are playing bonus poker. I'm pretty sure that the bonus is for 4 of a kinds with a premium for aces.. You seem to love playing for full houses, but that is not where the money is.
You really need to stop holding high cards of different suits. I have gotten Royal Flush by only holding one suit and discarding the other non suited high card. Be brave and risk losing a full house or four of a kind and that’s when you actually get it.
Bonus Poker is boring AF. If you would wake up and play Triple Double your 4 Dueces with an Ace pays $10,000 instead of the measly $1,000. Come on Andrew, no one wants to watch you play 30 minutes to break even. We want jackpots!
@Slotmassacre If solely playing TDB is too volatile for you then consider doing a hybrid style of starting out sessions with BP then switching to TDB on days when a machine feels hot (lots of quads)...
"Don't see nothing there!" For goodness sake man, a little grammar, "I don't see anything there" or if you prefer "I see nothing there" Double negatives are an abomination!
Keep the vlogs coming. They are great to watch. 2024, year of a hundred new slotmassacare Vlogs!
Thank you for the shout out, Slotmassacre!🙌🏻🙌🏻🌎

That’s the definition of the grind!

Any vegas plans yet for Feb? Ill be at Circa 17-22. Going to a knights game, they are a blast to watch.
Good luck!My favorite game 8/5 bonus single line!Wish I could play at a denomination where the two pairs are so important.

Great video! Congrats on the 4 of a kind.
Love the roller coaster ride! Keeps it exciting!
Yay for new videos from you 😊 you’re my favorite slot player 👍
Love watching all you guys here in Ohio... When i can find ya!! You keep doing Andrew!! 😘♥️
This brings back memories of the old days!
Patience and Persistence are the only requirement in video poker!
So Andrew at 19:05 the proper hold is 4 to a flush over a non-paying pair?

That was fun! Hi John 👋🏻
Thank you for the video 🎉

Comps make it a non zero to plus ev and he gets free play which he has several videos on. Not to mention maybe he just enjoys it.
Also do you ask slot players why they play slots? The expected return on a slot is 75%.
Playing 99%+ and proper strategy, I got more than 104% return with comps this year. My best year ever. Thanks Andrew!

What is the strategy app you use for play analysis?
Where are your strategy cards from
Me encantan ver tus vídeos desde que estava en Nicaragua 🇳🇮 y me recuerda en mi país hiva con mi hermano en paz descanse solo poker jugavamos
What app/website provides that analysis, you're showing on the split screen
This one is the wizard of odds but isn’t as user friendly as videopoker.com/slotmasacre

That's impressive for a 8/5 machine. If you look, you can find a DDB 9/5 (full house and flush pay)
Finally got quads

I may have done just that but the pay table for deluxe and deuces was so bad on this machine
Okay, when there is nothing else going on I'm going to hold four for to an inside straight... Maybe no face cards involved but it may at least be better than a five card draw... What say you?...
Doesn't it ever hit 4 of a kind of anything? Regardless, I've enjoyed your session
Google says odds of a royal flush on video poker 1 in 640,740. Disappointing
Those inside straight pulls kill everyone. I would rather go for the Ace only unless I'll course it's a royal inside straight draw.
Ah bonus poker, my drug of choice.
You're always trying to get even...(Everyone)

I just did triple play $5 Coin 9/7 triple double last video. I’ve gone on 6 figure monthly swings playing only triple double. Fun nightmare of a game!
