OMG I *love* this retrospective on this awesome, awesome game!! Memories like this are so worth holding onto; it makes these games that much more special to us.
We rented Final Fantasy II from our Video Vault for a total of 11 days in a row - our dad was getting PISSED that we'd held the game for so long! And funny thing is we only made it as far as Troia! We were soooo glad when our parents finally bought us the whole game.

What a great story! I felt like I'd gone back in time with you in renting this. I'm glad that, even if not the most groundbreaking entry, that you truly appreciate what it did not only for the series but your own RPG fandom as well.
I've always wanted to play the DS version and I hope I get some sort of consolized version that would give me a tv and controller option to do so. Until then, I do hope to revisit it someday on the Pixel Remaster.
I'd heard of the additions with elements like the new game + feature and often wondered if these were steps to "test the water" for a similar treatment for Chrono Trigger. I still maintain the evidence is tight that something for THAT classic is in the works.😊

Final Fantasy IV is so good! I played the game for the first time with the GBA version back in the day. However my 1994 game has to go to Sonic the Hedgehog 3 I love that game to death. Fantastic video!

I love Lagoon, but it never hooked me like FF series. Final Fantasy series is so good. I have great memories of this game at my friend Kevin's. Part 1 is my George of NES, 2 and 3 are on my snes mountain one way or another, but 7-13 are really my favorite times of gaming. I probably put 10-15k hours in the series. I even loved the couple Gameboy games I had too like Legends.
