Housing should not receive so much financial leverage. THAT is the problem. If builders had to put up cash and get normal loans for their projects, no out of control projects would happen, or very few. Real estate developers get INSANE leverage for their projects, then just declare bankruptcy and start a new company debt free. This is how it works.

If you wanna stay in big cities then yes law of supply and demand you can barely get cheap ones on busy areas. The US give a lot of housing to many illegals. They should stop doing that. It encourages more people to come there illegally. But then again, democrats will allow it. 🤣

There's more evidence to prove that our SUN controls climate change then carbon emission. As the sun expands and gets bigger and hotter so do all the planets around it.

One issue that nobody ever talks about is the Chinese cultural practice of either needing a perfectly new home or to make serious renovations when you move in. Nobody wants to be the first to move into a neighborhood because they’ll get no sleep for a year as the other flats fill out. Happened to me twice while I lived in Chengdu. Construction noise day and night. Chinese know that if they live in the investment apartment they bought, it’ll be seriously devalued compared to all the other pristine units.

    3. The Lord will give the people of Israel (a.k.a black people) relief from their pain and suffering, and from the hard work they were forced to do.
    4. When he does this, they are to mock the king of Babylonia and say:“The cruel king has fallen! He will never oppress anyone again!

    9. “The world of the dead is getting ready to welcome the king of Babylonia. The ghosts of those who were powerful on earth are stirring about. The ghosts of kings are rising from their thrones.

    Jeremiah 50
    40. The same thing will happen to Babylon as happened to Sodom and Gomorrah, when I destroyed them and the nearby towns. No one will ever live there again. I, the Lord, have spoken.
    42. They have taken their bows and swords; they are cruel and merciless. They sound like the roaring sea, as they ride their horses. They are ready for battle against Babylonia.
    43. The king of Babylonia hears the news, and his hands hang limp. He is seized by anguish, by pain like a woman in labour.
    45. So listen to the plan that I have made against the city of Babylon and to what I intend to do to its people. Even their children will be dragged off, and everyone will be horrified.
    46. When Babylon falls, there will be such a noise that the entire earth will shake, and the cries of alarm will be heard by the other nations.”

Surely demolished buildings would no longer be considered of any value to their country in any economic measure. In fact the loss of asset value would then cause a further reduction by the non-performing loans at the respective banks - a double blow to the GDP. Sure sounds like a house of cards...l 😮

Entire stairways collapse because the concrete can not support them. It is a Ponzi scheme.

I'm not sure Gravitas concentrates just on China. I watch a lot of Gravitas broadcasts, and they cover unreported stories from all over the world.
I think in truth, that is what makes Gravitas a good channel : they cover topics that are rarely covered by other media sources, and they do so with context. They look at a topic and report upon it in its own context. A very educational approach, IMO. And they are not biased : they give the facts and let the viewer draw conclusions, rather than providing some kind of 'narrative', or slanted perspective. No media source is infallible, but personally I do like the very clear and polished presentation style of both the young women who present the Gravitas reports. Nothing speaks more clearly of a decent education, than young women like the two Gravitas presenters, both of whose style is elegant, calm and lucid.

For most Chinese, real estate was the best investment.
In China usually when something is trending or works they will go really, really hard.
Real estate was one of those, there were so many buyers that those projects sold out before they started building.
The demand was so high that those developers got greedy and rushed to make new projects, and many other developers followed the same trend to keep up with the competitor.
The seeds were planted, and this loop of competition and greed all those developers were in caused the bubble to explode.
In the end, they all bit off too much than they could chew.

India will also face similar issues if govt doesn't bring some laws or motivate builders to build more schools/colleges/hospitals/transport stations instead of homes.

We don't need more schools in India but upgrade the infrastructure of the existing ones. The reality is that students in schools are decreasing since we reached peak child population in 2008. Except for UP, Bihar, Jharkhand and Mizoram all other states have started seeing a decline in school going kids. The investments are needed in building more hospitals now as the numbers of elderly is rising fast and we will start seeing a population decline by 2045.

@@AjayTiwari-en9nz Thats a very "govt" figures. In rural areas a village will have ~500 homes and for that there will be separate primary school, middle school, high school. Thats more than enough. But in urban towns and cities especially big cities population to school ratio is very less. Each school in urban cities are accomodating more than 1000 children. Can you imagine the quality of education they will be getting if a school has 1000 children in an area of 1000 sq foot. These children dont have a play ground. They cannot even assemble together. Why do you think the schools fees is so high in big cities. Its because there are very few schools.

Pity the homes cant be exported - Europe desperately needs them. China should build modular homes for export.
