- The Duke Blue Devils pulled out a 71-69 home win vs. the Clemson Tigers in a tough ACC Men’s Basketball matchup. Paolo Banchero was the leading scorer for Duke with 19 points, and he added 7 rebounds, 4 assists and a block in the win. Mark Williams had a 10 point / 10 rebound double-double with 3 blocked shots and Wendell Moore Jr. scored 13 to go along with 5 rebounds and 2 steals. PJ Hall led the Tigers with 14 points, 10 rebounds and 3 assists. Hunter Tyson added 13 points and 8 rebounds, and Chase Hunter scored 12, dished 5 assists and hauled in 7 boards for Clemson in the loss.
With the exception of Syracuse, Duke has been getting everybody's best. That was a serious back and forth battle.
i’m actually really proud of duke pulling out this win. clemson played a great game. tough shot after tough shot. duke has got to stop hurting themselves with so many turnovers though, and griffin needs to be more of a priority especially with keels out (and arguably even when keels is back. he’s a much better shooter).
Exactly he is shooting 45 percent FROM THREE,he needs to be shooting ten threes a game .that would ensure 4-5 made threes a game from him plus maybe a few layups and pull up jump shots and boom bam now you have another 17-20 point scorer a game with banchero.plus the other guys averages now your in the high eighties in points per game.equals tuff to beat
Banchero is the first overall pick in the NBA this year. He lived up to the hype. Besides he can still provide monster numbers even though Duke has stacked and talented sg-pf position.

Turnovers and defensive rebounding still are holding this team back. If they can figure those out, these games would be blowouts.
Duke normally gets everyone's best shot, but especially this year with them being the only "good" tournament resumé win in the ACC. gonna be tough battles every game

Yeah shocker, when you don’t just shoot 3s and floaters, always shying away from contact instead of running towards it, you actually get fouled.

I was at the game. Like I said, take it all the way to the hoop and finish with contact instead of driving, stopping to create space and floating it up with one hand. That’s all they do.

I have my concerns about this game. This is the worst game they played this season including the 3 loses. Just sloppy minutes of too much dribbling and turnovers and forced shots. Can’t wait to see them hitting on all cylinders!
Duke's missing a true vocal leader on the court. They've got to stop the dumb turnovers and these lulls where they play flat.
