You and me both. It was so much more than just a sales pitch. Not to mention, most of the stuff being sold was quality stuff, unlike that other show that is still on!
That is quite an attractive knife you won! It's interesting that Queen did not go into production with that knife as GEC calls that pattern the #15 and it's probably their top seller! Thanks for sharing your "one of a kind" Queen Cut Co!
JJ, Queen made at least two similar knives Using this frame. On was the 06L, a teardrop liner lock. The other was a two blade slip joint. They may have also made a single blade teardrop with a clip. Either SMKW or Queen balked on the slanted front bolster, I think. I do think it’s a tad odd with the mixed bolsters. I think that was the rejected part of the knife. Hope that clarifies things.
vinniesdayoff thanks! At the time I won it, a Queen made Knife was way out of my price limit. That made it all the more better. Thanks for dropping by!
Rick Temmen , thanks. I’m Pretty happy with it. My only regret is only having four queens in my collection. Thanks for dropping by and thanks for the feedback!
Have A Knife Day , SMKW is doing give-always all the time. Still it’s been over a year for me and I enter into everything! Just lucky I guess. Thanks for visiting!
This is my favorite pattern of traditional knife i had one as a child. Does anyone know if any manufacturer currently produces this pattern the closest I've come are the GEC #14 #15 and #78
I'm not aware of any other than what you mentioned. Case has their Tear drop as does Rough Ryder but nobody really seems to make the classic Boys Knife other than GEC. Schatt & Morgan might have something similar but I'm not sure.
That’s a sweet knife, regardless of the prototype designation. Love the swell end jacks, with spear blades. I agree however, would be a lot better as a bare end jack. Regardless, Queen made some awesome knives in the states, didn’t they.
Miss that show

Knife Chats with Tobias but that other show had some great moments. Especially when "emergency medical treatment " was almost needed.
Steve, I was stunned when they fired Tom O’Dell from CCN. (but not as nearly stunned as when Mr. Koontz was booted from KLTV!)

JJ Cahill, see around 6:42 for a pic of the production 06L

@@KnifeChatswithTobias Thank you very much!
Thanks for the memories Tobias, I miss Knives Live TV with Steve, Tony, Jay & Josh. Good stuff!
That's a nice knife Tobias. All the better that you won it.

Thanks. I’m pretty happy with it!
Nice knife very similar to the gec 78 I have. Good story which is half my watch. Lol. Atb paddy 👍☘️😀
Thanks! A couple people have commented about the GEC! I may have to look into getting one. Thanks for crossing the sheugh for all us colonials!
Nice knife you won there. It reminds me of a GEC American Jack (#78) in red jigged bone. Both are great looking.
BD H, I just looked up the #78. I think you’re spot on. Very close. Thanks for the tip. I might have look into that #78. Appreciate the feedback!
Very nice knife! Congrats 👍 I think rough rider used that design in there tear drop jack. At least it has a lot of similarities. Thanks for sharing 👍👍
Messer HQ, not sure about Rough Rider but I know Queen does has a similar teardrop as does GEC. thanks for dropping by!
I think it’s a lovely knife. I’ve nothing really like that, the closest I have is a GEC #85 Bullet End Jack. It’s a great piece too.
Slick Slicers, several people have mentioned the GEC. I might have to grab one if I can afford it! Thanks for dropping by. Glad you enjoyed the knife!
It's a beautiful piece in my favourite pattern it's a shame i didn't make it into production
Been a long time since I won a knife... congrats to you Tobias
