@@AdamArcherPigeons most homer guys don't do the research they just go off of what one guy tells them. Just look at what they call chocolate. Brown, dilute blue, Indigo and even recessive reds.
The other cocks you showed look to be a variation of grizzle. The bronze is called kite bronze. If you want classic almond you don't want to breed to black. Dark t checks with kite bronze and one dose of recessive red. The bronze is what creates the ground color which should be the color of the inside of a almond shell. It has no affect on the break or black flecking. That is caused by the dark t check. Look up Almond pigeons or Stippers on the web and you will see what a classic almond should look like. You cannot get almond out of the birds you are using. Sorry for the bad news. Almond racing homers are not easy to find and harder to buy from someone that has them. I've been trying to get one for 2 years and I know 3 guys breeding them.
@@blueribbonracingloft8063, Interesting statement about the almonds. Ive never seen any racing homers in almond colors. The three guys you mentioned breeding them, is there any way you can get them to post a picture on this video of what they should look like? Or provide us with a webpage, FB page or information where we can go see it?

I looking forward for baby’s, good luck to your project ✌️
Hey George! What gene is that in the t check that causes the bronzing in the wing?
Looks like a dominant opal. Not a almond. I raised hundreds of almonds and I've never seen a almond like that.
I agree, not almond. Grizzle in the mix too.

Are you sure they're stipper/almond? Did they have short down in the nest? A few of them look more like grizzles?
