It took Caruana 40 minutes to find the best move after the "incorrect" pawn capture, implying Caruana didn't have this line prepared and didn't know that move was a blunder right away, otherwise he'd immediately move the pawn up instead of analyzing for half an hour to find the best reply.

Everybody Gangsta until a pawn moves...
1:20 Can someone tell me how to easily defend against knight to b2 here?
I watched this, and "there's nothing more to be done" today!
It's amazing that MVL the leading "expert" in the Sicilian loses so many games playing it. Maybe time to try a new opening lol
4:43 why g6 and not Be6?
For the world's leading Najdorf expert, isn't MVL getting screwed a little too hard in the Najdorf in this tournament?
4:39 Why not go back with the bishop to E6???
Stockfish at 32 depth says its Okay to capture with the e-pawn, but at 46 depth it's giving a winning advantage of +3.8 to White if e-pasn captures. Maybe MVL didn't analyzed the position deep enough, who knows
+48 is inhuman levels of calculation
