We had a watermelon party every year as a kid. All games centered around watermelon. Seed spitting contest, etc. Very fun! These would definitely be cute invites!
This a fantastic tutorial, and compliments another one I came across a few months back, via another channel! Yours is awesome, slow methodical and not rushed! Thank you so much!
Even seedless watermelons have seeds. A cool memory, my uncle Jim raised yellow seedless watermelons back in the 70s. It was a hoot watching him cut it open and seeing yellow flesh.
the watermelons are great too of course but that green puddle of paint keeps catching my eye....so...prettttttty. I have learned a lot from you as a super noob. Thank you and your family
You have such great watercolor tutorials! Can’t wait to get my kits to start watercolor painting again! I would love to see more fruit tutorials in the future!
soooo how about fried chicken legs since Keenan mentioned it!! and two ants! it’s getting picnic time! thank YOU for helping me become a very amateur watercolorist. “shiny” ~ Firefly! 🌷💫
Actually you can completely lift watercolor off mainly with lighter colors with darker ones/more saturated it sometimes still leaves a teeny bit but love love love this hack my mind was blown when I came across it anyway if you use a magic eraser like cut a small piece off and use it on your paintings it will lift it completely off! 🤯 I know crazy right! P.s. love your channel I'm a super newbie at watercolor and I feel like a pro artist with you guys so thanks so much! 💜
Jessica Lesher I agree, the magic eraser does wonders lifting pigment from your paper. Just be extra careful Because it can damage the surface of your paper very easily. Especially if it’s the cellulose paper instead of the cotton rag paper. I leaned the hard way lol. Now, art supply companies are packaging and selling the magic erasers just for watercolor, but it’s actually the same exact thing as the ones that already existed, they just charge way more of course. Hope you and yours have a safe, beautiful Fourth of July Holiday, full of love, laughter, and color! Blessings from North Carolina, Stacy
“I trust you. You guys are great!” Probably not exactly what she said, but this is the greatest thing I’ve heard an art teacher say.🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

I have painted this several times. I never get tired of the color theory lessons shared here.

Hi Sarah! These watermelon are lovely! The paint looks so fluid, what kind of water color paint are you using? Thank You for an awesome tutorial.
On their site they only sell Dr Martin colors but I think it’s ink per another comment

I don't think that my teenagers have ever had watermelon with seeds in them.
