Breakdown would look great next to his lover Knock Out. Yes, I'm referencing the IDW comics where both Knock Out and Breakdown were conjunx endurae. And Balt... I'm sorry about your tooth. Be sure to stay safe out there!
I agree with the issues with Barrage. Those exposed arm pegs are an eyesore. But I was kinda hoping that those green arm bits the connect to his forearms could fit into those exposed gaps to make him look better.
I feel my inner Perspectiveend come out when I see the Prime Breakdown and Windsweeper. the first is a blue remain of Bulkhead's Wreak "N" Rule repaint, that version of Breakdown looks more like a super up armed car not a military truck. As for Windsweeper, the thing that pisses me off is that Hasbro couldn't mold out some new silver guns for him, really. I worried about how Ruckus will be handled if Windsweeper is any indication. I do like the look of the Garage and Chop Shop, they both look good and I generally am not a insecticon fan. finally I stand with you on Hasbro Prices gouging us, 20 years ago deluxe was $10 and if your right onHasbro making it triple that, then the transformer collecting will crash hard but then agin everything seams to be set to crashing this year.
Yeah no... Im not only paying more money on standard figures, but extra for "upgrade" kits to counter their cost cutting... Im not paying more for a even cheaper figure... Like the case of the shrinking candy bar all over again...
Well the news of Licensing has been something Hasbro has been doing with their less profitable (or cared about IP) for a bit of time now. Renegade Games which has been producing the CTG and TTRPG for the big 4 Hasbro Toy Isle IP (Transformers, GI Joe, MLP, and Power Rangers), has been just running with these IP making new content in those areas. Though not complete Avalon Hill is being shifted over Piece Meal to them, with Axis and Allies last year and just announced Risk, Heroscape, and Robo Rally are being handled my Renegade complete with Avalon Hill Logo on the boxes.
I’m picky with buying transfomers, raising prices have little to no effect on me, but it’s still scummy on hasbro’s part, but is anyone surprised considering that what been through the last year? Executives at hasbro seem really bad at their job Also Windsweeper looks like a male Elita 1
The only reason for me to get this 5 pack would be for that hound. AND I already have the other four. New paint is not enough to get them again. I will not be picking this up. It is not hard to see why Hasbro lost so much money. Their #1, and most expensive license, was Star Wars. They way Disney ran Star Wars into the ground, and turned on long time fans, meant NO toys sales. I myself spent very little on SW toys in 2023, and I know many who primarily bought SW figures move over to other parts of their collection. D&D did not generate the return they had hoped Marvel is on the same downward spiral as SW. G.I. Joe is doing well but not enough to make up for loss. Hasbro has been upping prices on good selling properties to make up the losses on others, but you can only do that for so long.
While your grievances about the price gouging and downgrade in quality I do believe are valid. Aren't most 3rd party figures on average more expensive? And it not just consumers in general that are getting shafted. Some stores are boycotting Hasbro and similar companies for flooding the market with products that won't sell. Olie's has currently gotten a rep of where these brands go to die and ironically the one of the few places you can find these toys for cheap or at least on average not an arm and leg.
We finally get to see breakdown have some love after how badly he was treated in transformers prime although I don’t like how it’s just a bulkhead remold
What alternative would you want rather than Capitalism ?? Capitalism = free market economy. And I know for sure you don't want the government telling us what to do and how to run our businesses (Socialism & Communism). There's alot of factors at play here... and all this inflation and puffed up economy we've had the last few years (and Covid too) is bound to burst at some point. Just look also now at the video game industry and all the recent layoffs. Hopefully it will balance back out again at some point.
I agree with Balt and that Hasbro needs to license out their brands to third parties like Power Rangers after the dismal Cosmic Fury line and getting better quality megazords instead of doing more cost-cutting measures. Hope Balt feels better soon
I was just thinking to myself the other day, that i would love to pay well over $60 for another shitty version of Armada Starscream. There's going to be more Armada Starscream figures than there are deceptions in the show. yuck
Thanks for another Giant Robot News video update, Balt! It really sucks that Hasbro has to raise the price tags of their TF toys. But I've already stopped buying them anyways since the price here in Malaysia makes them ever more so expensive. Anyways, hope you'll get well soon!
When I was little I had three transformers that where my entire life those where thrilling thirty whirl Tr chop shop and tr blurt so I’m so happy they updated chop shop and that 86 blurt is like tr now all I need is a whirl
Windsweeper gettin' a new figure (well, after the combiner one based on a figure I already have) makes me feel real warm and fuzzy inside. Had his original figure bought for me from a graduation market or whatever held at my kindergarten. Unfortunately at a point the nose broke off and had to glue it so that he was stuck in jet mode. Regardless, I'll totally have to get this figure eventually.
@leefrierson6472 yes, I buy a ton of shit, but yeah, Hasbro has a lot to do with DEI as far as them partnering with woke Disney, which has a lot to do with Hasbro! Wake up! 🤦🏼♂️
@@RCCrawlerz209 Mattel is woke too, yet the company is doing just fine. Nintendo advertises on the Disney Channel, and that company is making money. Lego supports LBGT+ initiatives.
I'm kinda pissed that breakdown is just a bulkhead repaint.
I agree but Bulckhead never had any shoulder cannon unlike Breakdown , so it could have been expected
I wasn’t guessing Prime Breakdown too, they would reuse the G1 Breakdown toy with a new head
@@marcesteban8694except that the two Breakdowns share nothing in terms of design elements beyond a face.
Those two packs are always remold/repaints. It's impressive the Bug Boys are as heavily remolded as they are.
It saddens me that they are going to do these awful cost cutting measures. I do hope you get to feeling better soon!

just look at Barrage's chest as air vents... I think it looks kind of cool that way
Already paying at least $40 for a deluxe here in Australia
cut employees.. and MVP + MVP “minimal viable product” + Maximum viable price model in force.. sigh…
AGREED, I knew that Prime Bulkhead looked more like Breakdown, I AM PROVEN RIGHT!
I always thought that bulkhead was going to get retooled into his rival. I can’t wait to pick up these sets!

I'm so down for getting that Breakdown & Windsweeper two-pack, as I never got the Bulkhead or Needlenose figures when they released.
I hope you get better man
Sumstreaker was from Earthrise not kingdom.
I am SO HAPPY tier 2 is unlocked! I honestly hope for a third tier!
It’s cool that there making new insecticons, my dad had to original Barrage. Definitely picking up the new guys
I hope you get better 🙏

Oh no, why not have single releases instead of dual packs of those you share in the end.
Its 2000 24 2000 23 is a year ago

aw yeah Giant Leap Day News
Hasbro is just a crappy run company and they sure didn’t have any issue with giving bonuses to their higher execs. Hasbro just sucks
