i like it. they need a solid back up centre. he has room to improve, and this team has a way of helping players develop. i don't expect too much from him early on, but just as he is he will still help. at 25 and with a lot of potential, i think he's an excellent fit for this team going forward.
It's good in the sense that, it's only a camp invite. Remember McDaniels? When they signed him, many including myself thought it was a good signing. But in the end, he became a complete failure. Although the team corrected the situation by trading him, it was a gamble to hand out a guaranteed contract to an unproven player. As for Bruno , let him prove and earn it. Good move by the Raptors. I like him, but he will have to prove and earn his keep.
I remember him playing last year. Rebounding was his biggest plus. So at least he's got that. Sorta a C+ talent, but without a back-up off the bench, yes there is Kelly O... the Raps will suffer on the boards. Maybe this dude solves that a bit. He might win our team 3 more games over the season! lol.
According to Will Lou, he mentioned that Bruno is a more Physical kind of player, especially on defence. I talked to Will during the Canada Watch Party.
Worst case : he's gonna be our tank lieutenant for 2025 draft Best case : poor man's Bismack Biyombo giving us some hustle and energy With Boucher basically locked away, he will certainly get playing time - he's not gonna move the needle but as long as he does what he's asked to do, I am good.
