My experience with credit as someone who didn't have money. The first card I applied for was geared towards college students, got denied. The bank clerk was genuinely confused and didn't have an answer. I had no credit or anything. Everyone else I know got approved but not me. And I was 18 so I applied for 2 other student credit cards and got rejected. Finally got approved for the Discover card and my credit score turned out to be 550. The odds can very well be stacked against you if you have nothing. So this person claiming that she wasn't handed anything is refusing to acknowledge how just being born into wealth plays a huge advantage for her behind the scenes.

In addition to that there is a Major difference when it comes to people born into wealth vs born into poverty. When people are born into wealth their normal is not the same because they don’t have the same struggles of knowing what it’s like to not have basic necessities which is something those born into poverty have. Not to say that there aren’t different issues the wealthy face but could you imagine being surrounded by wealth and knowing that they can take risks because there is a safety net. That is a Game changer imo

Yes, she’s spoiled and yes she received her first LV bag at age 9 but she would never speak to her parents like Pixie. Infact, when we shop in London, she buys one or two things max at a make-up store. The only difference I see is that Pixie’s family posts their wealth. The family I work for, would never. Like, for example, when they shop luxury, they never take their bags with them. They’re all personally delivered by the designers / stores / drivers post purchase. They would never post-brag. So… there’s that. 🤷🏻‍♀️

What’s wrong with me that I can’t start for very successful companies and make millions of dollars
The reason why is because she started with lots of money there’s no way she didn’t take money from her parents or her family. That’s just not how this works.

  • @TeaCupCracked

American culture often judges more how you spend your money, not if you have it. There's also a tendency that if you are young and beautiful then people are more forgiving of mindless consumption, but if you are older then there is heavier judgement about if you are spending your money "correctly". It also has to do with the divide between what's called "old money" and "new money". Basically old-money is very concerned about being financially conservative and not losing wealth, while new money is about celebrating/bathing in the success of the moment.

The journalist saying her boobs were fake was totally rude and inappropriate. Having your breast removed is just as painful and traumatic for someone with fake boobs as it is with real boobs. It's just as traumatic for someone with little boobs as it is for someone with big boobs. It doesn't make a person vain. You look deformed after they are removed, and it's traumatic. You have to wait quite a while to get the surgery to reconstruct them. Also, thanks to the Affordable Care Act, any insuramce plan that covers a mastectomy, must also cover recinstruction, including making sure both breasts match, so when only one breast is lost, the reconstruction must also be preformed on the non-cancer breast, if needed, to ensure both breasts are the same. This benefit is in jeopardy if the ACA os overturned.

It grates to hear "I have everything because I worked hard" - it is difficult to step outside of your privilege to imagine how life is for others, but the thing is there isn't anything for them to gain by understanding how the majority live. If there was any success they’d have intrinsic value worth selling, not just canning. Her blokes done time for insider trading, which is no big deal in itself but I feel that’s the tip of the iceberg as far as he’s concerned. Coupled with her complete lack of substance in regard to tangible business outcomes, the numbers do not add up when you observe the lifestyle she projects. 1+1 does not equal 50.

I lived in Sydney’s inner west from 2000-2009 when I went to UTS and Usyd and working full time after graduating. Most people shared apartments with flatmates unless they had a 1 bed or studio apartment. Rent was around 350 a week for a 2 bed apartment and it went up around $400 in 2006.
The deposit for a property required a 20% deposit and mortgage repayments were at least double if not triple a weeks rent. That was a huge barrier to buying a property.
All my friends from uni had help from their families in some way either from living at home to save for a deposit, parents giving them the money for a deposit or buying the property outright for them and having some sort of paying back arrangement.

Yes, I think 12 is too young to be having weekly nail and tanning appts, etc. That poor girl needs to be a little girl not her mom’s spoiled sidekick. I get they are super rich and can afford luxury but it is still doing the child a disservice to allow a child to live that way. Now don’t get me wrong we probably all are guilty of spoiling our kids in different ways but kids need balance not everything money can buy them.

Parents need to stop showing their kids on social media, also parents need to stop letting kids under the age of 15 watch Tiktok videos on top of supervising their online time in general.

I’ll never understand why people with so much wealth and connections just continue to want more and more to this point that they scam. Why? They all claim they didn’t understand or they simply don’t have the resources or time or education to do these things etc. so why do them? Why risk you reputation and all your livelihood? Is she claiming she doesn’t have $250k because I’m sure that’s like handing over $10 to the average person? She also said she’d handle this on her own no matter the circumstance.

I live in the US, so I’m not sure about a difference in humility from here to there or any where else in the world. I only know I am a very humble person, and I raised my children to be the same. No offense to anyone, and to each their own, but expensive purses and cars do not impress me. A person that shows love and kindness impresses me. I agree that parents should not use their children to make money. We see it a lot, but we are more aware now of the dangers of including your children on social media platforms, ect. Regardless, these parents are not going to stop as long as they are making money. It is very sad.

I find it really interesting how most of us can name a list of poor character traits but as soon as those traits are attached to someone with wealth they are ignored to our own detriment.
I do personally think that some people are bad people in terms of being entirely self interested to a level that means they do harm and don't have the ability to see or feel responsible for it. Social media seems to have been built to glorify these kinds of personalities.

There's a lot to unpack here - 1. Can you please say the word "news" properly, it's not noos, it's news. 2. Anthink, really?
As for Rox, this is a chronic serial self promoter who always deflects criticism by saying others are jealous of her. She's managed to hoodwink a lot of people over the years in to thinking she's a real go getter and anything can be achieved through hard work. Anyone not from Sydney is abundantly aware she's just a product of the me, me, me generation who crave attention (good or bad) at any cost.
A word of advice for anyone considering buying any of her "courses", do you really want to be buying a course from a character who scored 14 out of 100 for their year 12 results? You can probably learn a lot more by steering clear of anything this thing is peddling.
There was a lot of Logan Paul about her apology and veiled suggestion that she would pay people back.
