You say you're not a RUclipser yet you have just explained it miles better then anyone. Strait to the point! I have a e60 and this has answered all my questions 👍 Good video.
Same here, I have an e60 and just decided to do it after this video, thank you:) Also I just renewed the whole m57 engine at 124.000 miles so its in a perfect condition for it I guess.
I also wanted to say that the damn thing, the dpf is fitted just after the turbo, so when that get blocked and it does over time your turbo has to push very hard, and guess what ... it wears out and give less boost. The only purpose of the dpf is to reduce pollution. It does not help your car in any way. It actually does lots of harm. By recirculating gases you build up carbon in the intake manifold and on your valves and on the flaps and end up braking off and destroy the engine ! Those flaps are also related to fuel efficiency so they are junk, remove them. Now lets be fair here ! Nobody buy a 3 liter twin turbo with 300 hp because they care about the environment ! We are all bad people and we pollute a lot with our engines or we would have bought an electric car or some 1 liter smart or what ever.... We bought m57 engine for the power and for the mpg. So let stop the bullshit and clean all the intake and the valves, block the damn egr and stop putting crap in the engine, remove the dpf and make it a straight pipe inside than reinstall for passing the MOT, do the software modification, have your oils changed proper and enjoy a very nice car. By the way, the oil for this car is 5w30 with code bmw LL-04. So use that ! I use motul x clean 5w30 and filters from MAN, and i change every 3-4000 miles ! This engine if loved will go 500K miles. So oils, filters, preheating, not abuse cold, glow plugs perfect, anti freeze changed, all about engine must work perfect, the breather, the termostat. And for those who ask why I choose to pollute here you go: i can not afford a tesla, I did drive one, I love it, is grate ... and i will change tomorrow if i could afford it. We talk here a bmw worth 10K that gives 300 hp, does 0-60 miles in 5.5 seconds, looks grate , drives grate, and makes 40 mpg. DO BETTER IF YOU CAN ....
What about gasses? Had mine gutted just like you but whenever I idle my engine I just can't stand around it (hot or cold). Literally i feel my eyes burning. Someone said I must have a bad map so I'm trying to research what others did. Thanks
@@cosmin7317 you clearly have a problem with it. I suspect incomplete burning there as it should not stink that bad. I have 2 diesels. A 2.0 with dpf ford custom from 2019 and the bmw with no dpf and i use them both. There is no difference is smell or smoke, visible at idle. Not at cold or warm start. There is no difference in normal driving also. There is how ever difference if i drive the bmw sporty will pop up a bit of black smoke at high rpm, but it does not happen as no right in the mind person will drive it at 6000 rpm. And even so it will be for just a bit. Not burned diesel. If i start both in the morning. And go behind them. No smoke from any. Not more smell from one or another. But there is a clear exhaust smell. As that is normal for a diesel . I do not like diesels but i cant afford a tesla . Check your map, and explain the smoke you see . It might be a recirculation problem too. Or a bad turbine. But mostly is a recirculation problem. You need to explain in detail.
@@mihairadupop2491 I'll go for a bad map, turbo i've replaced less than a year once gutted the dpf. Also flaps are blanked out and egr too. So map should be at fault then. I'll search for a more reputable turning company. Thanks
@@mihairadupop2491 yes I did and yes I am in Uk. Everything was done properly. Checked injectors for leak back test they ok, correction ok Everything matches up except the map. Map was done by one of ours from TM and sent me the file to update. This is the 4th fie from the 4th "mapper". Next I'll search for one that can take my car on a rolling road. By the way mine is e70. Thanks
Is a really good idea to clean the valves and manifold too. Only way you can do it right is to remove them and have manifold cleaned off the car. And valves must be walnut blasted. No magical solution spray works !!! That shit is rock solid. Also do oil change after to clean any particles might go into cylinders . Also might wanna do a direct injectors purge. I mean the injector clean run directly not mixed with diesel. Or even better remove and send for clean and calibration to a workshop that does this. I did this one. I removed them and send to be ultrasound cleaned . Well i also did oil pump, timing chain, and rings and water pump and pretty much rebuild it and repaint the car.
Top bloke, somebody who actually knows what they're talking about! I have DPF and EGR delete on my 307 CC 2.0 HDI and that also has no smoke and the economy and boost is better. It still passes MOT fine, in fact the testers say it can't detect any smoke at all.
Thats why i made the video because i had enough of idiots telling me i need to spend 3000 gbp for a stupid dpf. It does nothing good to my car. Just fks up my turbo that can not push out the exhaust proper. Use 3000 to fix your engine, make it perfect engine, full rebuild and throw away the dpf insides. You ll be a lot more happy and have a good car.
@@mihairadupop2491 I completely agree. My dpf caused so much back pressure on my engine it ruined the turbo and blew the manifold gaskets. It's fine to keep the catalytic converter there, but the DPF should be removed. The EGR is also worth blanking as this contaminates the intake and turbo and they block up anyway. Never had any issues with my car ever since. I am also in the market for a 635d and I will do the same sort of procedures to ensure it stays reliable. I will do the swirl flap removal too.
@@daveyboiyeah I might be selling mine, as i got a new van that i use and wife has her own car and i do not use the bmw much. Problem is bmw is now a 2009 car, and i spend in it like 9k, new paint, full engine rebuild, interior rebuild, well pretty much all done on it looks like new car and drives perfect. But you know how the story goes.... people go like ohhhh meeeehhh uaaaa is a 2009, is got 140k on the clock.... nobody believe i spend almost 10 grand to rebuild it. Even though i documented all the process with pics. So i guess i ll keep it. After all is a 300 hp bmw that makes 40 mpg and 50 highway and does 0-60 in 5 seconds. Hi mate. I’ve recently got into the car scene and want a scirocco. I don’t want this DPF problem to occur so what would the best resolution be? I’ve heard that if it’s removed the car would not pass MOT so what can you do in this case? Any advice would be beneficial. Thank you so much
Brilliant video!! You’ve explained the process very well and your advice on not increasing the power when remapping is sensible. I’m doing my VW T32 today as the DPF has come to the end of its life. I’m looking forward to the reult👍
Make sure glow plugs are new and injectors work well . Also do a intake manifold clean and valve blasting with nut shells , and air mass sensor clean with that special spray for maf. After you do all then change oil and filter and do not forget to block the egr.
Thanks for the clarification of the smoking part after removing dpf.. I always think if i remove my X5 Dpf my car will smoke an i dont want that to happen thats why im not removing but now i will consider it... thanks again... 😊
To be honest the gov is screwing us over. As if they wanted to help for real would make the electric and hydrogen options more affordable by offering good low fee credits to buy one. I would buy a hydrogen Toyota if i could afford it. And if they made stations to charge it. Or a tesla . I like the diesel, is nice it has power but until i see that is major investments in clean energy and cheap electrics and proper charging places all over , i say Fuck it ! 😂 they just wanna rip us off not help for real. Got the 2017 f31 35d xdrive but i added stage 2 mapping. Car rips and still smoke free. So i can confirm. A healthy car will not smoke. Even not with chiptuning. Chiptuner said it only will smoke when you go stage 3 plus. He said the same as u, but stage 1 or 2 should be smoke free too.
Dudę, Im having enough this "youtubers" was looking for a video like this. In two weeks i will get rid of "ecology" from my car, cant wait to see how it will change it. All the Best!
You are correct on many points. But it does void your insurance it will be written in your small print. So let's day you are involved in an accident and for whatever reason the engine managment system, ecu or exhaust is required to be changed fixed or they discover that the DPF has been deleted there is a high chance the insurers will not pay out.
It is quite possible for the insurance to not pay, they do their best to fk you up and not pay every time . I never had a claim in my 20 years of driving so is a risk i am willing to take . But every person should take their own risks or go put a new oem dpf and fix the mechanical problems if so they wish.
well, insurance is quite stupid legal stuff anyways, basically you pay as if you are betting saying if you will crash your car, warrenty too. Also sometimes you "won the bet" and still lose money and especially precious time...
You speak very good English better than me as I'm not English ither. And thank you very much for your great explanation regarding the DPF and EGR so on
I drive diesels for 30 years and none combusted yet. I had a mercedes with a rod bang out trough the block and that one caught fire after driving it like that for 20 min . I had no choice i was -25 celsius in middle of nowhere . Better car die than me freeze to death there. But i put fire out with extinguisher and did an engine replacement later. Car was saved .
That car is worth like 5 k at best , just like mine. Do what you need to do so u can use it. This cars offer a lot for the price they worth and not worth selling at this prices. I also will use until the end.
I did it for free exhaust with no obstruction and to stop putting carbon into my cylinders. I did not add any extra power to it. Just adjusted the air fuel . Did the so called stage 1 with no power increase. Plus i never use it to capacity just like 70% at most and even that rarely. I mostly use like 50%
@@Northernerdownsouth I get 7 liters for 100 km. Thats fill up tank, drive till is empty and fill up again. Do the math of the km registered . For a 3 litre with 300 hp i think that is really decent. Thanks for the vid. Considering doing DPF delete on my '07 e92 330xd - around 250kkm DPF troubles started with regeneration running every 50 kilometers. Did you go with downpipe or did you leave DPF box with insides gutted?
Just get a good mapper. Had hell due to a bad map. Was from one of the bigger companies. In short they didn't fully deactivate it and even added adblue (to a none add blue car) a second turner spotted all the mistakes and now the car truly feels like it's free.
Yes is a must. Or your gases will push trough egr and leak into manifold and you get throttle actuator code and maf code . Also not enough boost. So block it before egr with a metal plate. There is also kit to remove egr completely. Also always warm up car before you drive, 2 min idle than go slow like 5 miles. Than you can push it. And since you have no more dpf you dont need dpf oil. Put full synthetic same spec as manual say and change 3-4000 miles. I change faster because i like to drive it hard. Also change in gear box and rear dif. Have a mechanic do gear box is complicated. Also i forgot to say about the breather, change that too.
You didn't gain any power, as your DPF was clogged (together with your EGR + throtlle valve & cooler you lost some power) Now you gain that los back. Only thing to notice is that your throtlle respons is better and you have less lagg. But if you measured the accelaration time before and after it would maybe matter a few miliseconds, unlike with a software tune where you gain 25% HP , your accel improves by multiple seconds.
In a second video later i said exactly what you said here. It was my first video on youtube, just got it fixed and gaining my power back felt grate. Is no power increase as you say. I clarified in later videos about the car.

Hey 😃 yeah was just trying to help people . Bmw are expensive to keep so any help counts. This car cost a lot but honestly put a smile on my face every time i drive the damn thing😂
Your lucky. In California they check for the stock tune. any changes at all it will fail. Even though you did not tune for more HP. It would not pass the equivalent of your MOT.
I walked into my local garage, who's also my MOT tester, to ask if they had any experience with EGR and DPF issues. He told me I should get the EGR mapped out as it's much cheaper to do and is better for the car. He also assured me it would pass emissions, but still I have my doubts... It would be just my luck to do this and then the government makes emissions checks more strict.
@@mihairadupop2491 Couldn't agree more with the last part, and I think I'll go ahead with the map. But just know that if emission checks suddenly become more strict it's because you practically forced me to do this to my car.

Look im not forcing you to do anything. There is alternative to dpf end egr delete. But in the end the concept of egr is deadly for engines is like adding carbon to intake and it build up. You can fight it best you can. @@mihairadupop2491 I've had the car remapped and it drives great. One concern I have is the DPF (which can no longer perform regens) may clog up over time. Should I definitely remove the honeycomb interior like you did, or wait and see how it goes? Is there still a way to read soot levels in the DPF with a diagnostic after the remap?
@@Costa_del_Artlepool remove dpf fast , it clogs and put stress on turbo and damage it. Do not drive much like this , if u put a tester now on exhaust pressure is off the scale for sure . Thats how mine had turbo failure when i got it . I had to rebuild both.
Hello everyone. I live in Africa. The diesel cars we get here do not come with Adblue and DPFs. How is it living with a Diesel car that has a DPF and adblue. Does the check engine light remain on if the DPF is deleted? Otherwise this is a really great video on how you explained your DPF delete.
I have 2 cars one still have dpf. The bmw one was removed. The ford van is new and still has it. I can tell you how it is. Horrible ! The entire system is connected to ecu and can not be removed without remapping the car. It has no benefit to the car it shorten life of car a lot. Is just stupid legislation. Our sales guy has a bmw 2 litre from 2019. Is just 3 years old !!! and has 110k miles now. Mostly he drove to clients and did highway. I changed his oil every 5000 miles myself as he is a friend. Hello , you have well mentioned everything . My diesel car was already tuned with dpf&egr& adblue system all on . Yesterday adblue tank had a failure which the cost of replacing it is like 1.000 euro. Personally i am thinking of removing adblue system&egr&dpf all all off. My question is this one: If i remove all of those do i have to replace the exhaust part to remove the dpf and replace it with a straight pipe or it should be fine by just deactivating adblue system&dpf&egr and keeping the egr part there in the exhaust ? Do you believe i must remove as well the dpf exhaust part with a straight part ? Thanks . P.S : My engine is 1.6 hdi PSA Group.
Hi I am planning on having my 535d M57 DPF removed, did you notice sound difference after the delete? Is there a lot of turbo whistle noise like on most RUclips videos or is it OEM sounding? Thanks
There is a bit of noise if you leave the dpf empty complete inside. Not as oem but not even close to those youtube videos. I seen them too. Those idiots remove the rear mufflers. I would say is quiet but you hear a bit the turbine. I like it, sound special and fun. Not overkill. Not like a bad tubed one. Sound sporty and elegant not too loud just perfect. If you want oem sound make it into a muffler inside with ceramic foam and a pipe welded . I would not do it, is better empty, i like my car oem not with tuning crap.
Hello my friend. I have a 2019 c class coupe c300 which has a 2 litre turbo engine (4 cylinders). Ive already removed the reconators and mufflers. I want to remove the OPF filter too. The mechanic said i need to remap to stop the car going into limp mode. I will remove the OPF and remap it to remove the dash error soon. Shall I install a pipe instead of it or gut the opf out from and empty it from the inside? What else shall I ask the remapper to do to make my car run better? I also wanted to have the pops and bangs tune on sports mode too. Is that okay for my turbo charged car? Do I need a egr delete remap too? How do I know who a good remapper company is for my car? Thanks!
Yes you need to remove the dpf. Pipe or gutted is the same as long as you can pass inspection with the pipe is ok if you need to make it look like it still has dpf then removed , cut, empty -weld back to look original. Do not know requirements in your area . In uk need to look original. Yes you also need a good remap and block egr. You need that even just from modify exhaust as all your output pressures are off the scale now. I personally do not recommend what you doing to a 2 litre engine with 2 turbo . You decrease the life of the engine a lot and will have to consider it like being racing motor do 3000 k oil changes with double ester and pre warm up and cooling down . Is doable but you need to understand thats not build like my m57 with inline 6 and oversized piston rods and made to take huge abuse. Is made a lot more on a budget . Not designed to be abused as i think you intend . It will get expensive for you. I can recommend dpf delete in Preston tell me if u want here. If you done exhaust u must do it all now . Depending how you drive it thats how much it will last and how you do oil and what oil you will put. Look at red line oil .
Hello sir thanks for the information .. could u please explain what have u done to remove the EGR ? Was any software done on ECU do remove it ? Thanks .
You need to go to a software company. They will modify the car software. The egr is a valve, you can remove it and add a kit or delete in software and the valve will not work any more. But you need to block the gases going into the intake . That is important . Or it will do throttle body actuator fault and smoke like mad .

@@antoniogoncalvesb.pereirag8922 dude make sure they have done this before and successfully. And my suggestion is not to remap the car. Your car is most likely old and with many miles. That engine if it damaged the dpf has the turbo used, the components too. If you do not plan to completely rebuild the engine and just delete egr and dpf. Than do not remap to more hp. Also must gut the dpf and empty it before you delete it and put all back . Also if u do not rebuild do not !!! Abuse it .
Yes and no. Take case of egr working as out of factory on a new car. The engine is at idle or cruising gently on the highway. The ecu tell the erg valve to open and inject exhaust gases. The combustion chamber temp is lower and the nitrous oxide output ( very toxic ) is less . Downside : incomplete burn, carbon build up, oil contamination with fuel, faster engine wear. Good side : less cancer in people, less pollution. When you accelerate or tow or go up hill engine close egr. Combustion is proper as it should . Engine is happy but people die of cancer . So, if you want happy engine block the egr and run the engine at optimal temperature as intended. Is the best for the engine to burn hotter. If you wanna save lives than use the egr and you will need to clean valves, intake, change oil at half the time. And maybe your engine will last. Still less.
@@mihairadupop2491 hi Mihai. Many thanxs for answer. I prefer not to choke my engine with carbon deposits. The question of people and cancer is here anyway with production of EV batteries, charging them and it is yet to come, when those batteries will be at the end of life and their disposal comes to play.
@@buzzdev battery cars are crap. Is just politics. You are right. Hydrogen is best fuel. Light and no pollution. Absolutely hate that junk of a car.
If you mean the flaps in the intake yes, it does, and you must take them out or they might brake and fall into the combustion chamber and piston will hit them and than is game over engine. There is a kit to blank them that you buy and new gaskets for the intake. There are youtube videos for it too but i recommend to pay a mechanic if you asking me this you clearly not up the task yourself. The M57 is not a simple engine for unexperienced people to play on. The plugs you find acc to your vin number you so not need a size. Put a new relay too. Do not attempt to remove plugs without soaking them multiple times and proper tools and if you have no experience in doing it do not even try!!!! You will brake them in and will cause a huge mess. Very costly . There is an entire procedure to remove the plugs. Is a job for qualified people with proper tools . If you put a key on them and just pull hard you will brake in the engine head and than cry for what you done. The intake clean it off the car, and clean the valves too. Wallnut blast clean works best. Change oil after all this so no crap get collected in the oil, warm up car and than change it. Make sure valves are closed when you clean them, will have to turn over the engine.
Maximum 10hp more and 30-40nm when only the dpf ist removed. That's the truth without chiptuning. More is not posible but 40nm you recognize and economical it's 0,5 liter of gas.
I'm sure of it. Is not the dpf that is the big problem, that is just a filter and if is not blocked does nothing wrong. How ever in order for the dpf to work you need the erg system. That is the problem because it carbon up the engine. I can show you my oil now with dpf and egr off at 1000 miles . My oil is light brown. Show me 1 diesel with erg that has light brown oil after 100 miles not 1000. Do you realise how much carbon you put in that engine ... what you think id does... use some common sense
I have a 2012 Vauxhall(opel) insignia biturbo with both bigger turbos, upgraded air intake and intercooler&remap. Stock it made 195bhp and 301lb/ft, after the mods it makes 307bhp and 445lb/ft of torque-the car is a sleeper and easily overtakes most things on the road. The problem is that my DPF got clogged after less than 2 weeks of use and won't regen, so I'll remove it.
That much power will damage the transmission faster most likely the engine too. Might as well change the oil lots. In the gear box too. I would do 3000 miles most. Is quite a wonder you did not blow the turbo with that blocked dpf.
Huh ? What more air man ? Nobody put more air or more fuel . Nobody tube anything . All it is actually is to delete the egr and tell the computer it does not have one . Same for the dpf. You take out all the antipollution crap . Is no added power in stage 1 . The gains are too small to matter. Yes you feel power but is because your engine start making the 300 it was designed to do and is not chocked to death by filters. It could do a lot more but you need the kit for stage 3 . New turbos, new intercooler, complete rebuild. Ton of cash !!!! Not worth on a 5000 gbp car. You better of go buy an M than . This is a cheap old car nothing more . Im not qualified to answer your question, i think u need the sensor as it measure the gases going out to adjust the injection parameters. But i do know who would know this answer if you want. If u in the UK i can send u to the right person. U need?
I pretty much rebuild the engine. There is no point to make a list as your engine will not have the same worn parts as mine had. You need to do everything on that engine, you check compression , timing chain, turbos, injectors, you need a good mechanic to completely refurbish your engine and do all that is needed for it to be as it came out of the factory door. I ll probably make a video soon with all i done on mine as example. Look if you measure compression and all cilinders are good, no need to replace rings, if your injectors are good just give them a clean, if your timing chain is good on inspection just leave it. Only what is broken or worn. You inspect turbos, if they good condition leave them, if not put new kit in. Stuff like glow plug , relays, valve clean, manifold clean, injector clean, throttle new body, filters, oil, flaps blocked, all new vac hoses, breather valve, all new belts, antifreeze, water and oil pump, radiator flush, so on …. All that is done new. The major ones only if needed .

I done a insignia cdti dpf and egr delete but got a stage 1 remap changed the car its much better and no smoke at all but i use shell v power to look after the engine and regular oil changes
V power or regular is not gonna make your engine run longer. An injector cleaner once in a while and 5000 miles oil changes will. Also let it warm up a bit when first start of the day.
There is specialised injector cleaner. Liqui moly has a good one, motul too. I usually put a tube full when is low on fuel to have it more concentrated.
Im interested in removing/Blanking the EGR on my M57N2 engine. I would personally keep the DPF in place as it is. Will there be major problems if I have removed EGR but kept DPF?
Been told you would dpf regen more frequently but I would have thought less Frequently as you have less soot etc. I have the exact same engine in 525d. Must replace oil breather too. Lucky you don’t have swirl flaps as mine doesn’t.
The dpf and egr are a system, they meant to work together. If you dpf is in good condition and back pressure of it is ok there is no need to blank the egr. Do a walnut blast clean intake and throttle body, egr too and let it be. Removing dpf does pollute, it will smoke the tail pipes, put out toxin, all of that is real. You do not see smoke but that crap does come out cause cancer and all of that. I can tell first hand as i am doing it. This video is for people with dfp damage beyond repair who have no other option due to cost. Fixing a dpf related problem is in the range of 5 k so for many out of the question. If how ever you do not care about pollution than i suggest you remove dpf and block egr and clean intake. Not with crap sprays but manually and off the car . After all most of the planet do not care about pollution we all gonna die of global warming so what ever … let it be fun before we die. Oh if you block egr you will increase the heat in the engine, those gases are meant to cool. Might get error code . Oh well if you do just delete it and no problem
I’ve got the glow plug errors in 5 plugs. Wonder if I should change them with the controller. Just bought the car. Also got a leak to sort. Been told car won’t regen if glow plugs are faulty.
@@eddy45686 if glow plugs are faulty you will kill the dpf a lot faster. It will smoke at start and all will clog it up. Put new glow plugs and relay control. Is about 200 gbp the items. Do not brake them in ! Is a nightmare of a job. Take lot of patience. You need to vibrate them, put spray to soft the carbon , soak in fast release, look youtube lots of tutorials. Nice video. I also did Cat Egr DPF swirl flaps and put an economy remap in. Much better responce from turbo low down and mid range. How come you only unblocked the dpf, why not unblock the inside of the cat ?
I have no idea what are you talking about. Explain what cat you refer to ? I removed all the contents in the dpf. Is now just an empty shell to take gases to the exhausts.
@@mihairadupop2491 hi, all the metal filter matrix and black carbon soot build up you found in the DPF blocking the gas flow is also repeated in the CAT. There are 2 devices blocking gas flow plus the EGR as well. Great that you hollowed out the DPF and made it like straight through gas pipe, why not do the exact same thing to the CAT as well like me. CAT means catalytic converter. It gives another free gain in performance and fuel efficiency similar to dpf. Plus a little bit less weight. And makes the car more reliable. I got my car used 3 yr old with 68,000. Now its got 289,000. Never broke down ever. 100% reliable. I also service oil very early. Half of the 30000km intervals. About every 12 to 15000 km or every 7000 to 9000 miles. Also to save the injectors and fuel pump I only use BP or Shell premium diesel.
@@mihairadupop2491 also i forgot to mention how important a mild remap is. I respect your video is about fixing a broken car with a blocked DPF and you mention not wanting any extra power, but consider the engine breathing and air flow will become much better especially if you also unblock the cat, so for the same boost levels as stock there will be much more air flow and if you dont do even a small remap the engine might be running too lean. Mine has an economy map with a small 30hp and 50lbs torque gain to match the extra air flow. You can get over 60hp and over 100lbs gain with an aggressive high performance remap.
@@hungrysurfer9471 Hi, i see now what you mean. Very nice of you to take time to explain me. Thank you. I will tell you what i did: 1. Put new thermostat for egr 2. Put new throttle body, 3. That honeycomb structure and that metallic mesh ahead of it too. Weld it back toghether with nothing inside. Just an empty shell. So it looks like i have it but gasses pass just like trough a straight pipe. 7. Remap the car by deleting the dpf and egr. I choose the smallest power gain they had. There were 3 options, stages. I choose the minimal one . I change my oil every 3000 miles in all my cars. I do that because i am ocd, meaning a bit sick in the head and i feel the need for all to be perfect. I place it just under oil pan. Heat up all the engine. I also drive it very slow until is at operating temp and idle for 1 minute before start. To be fair i very rarely push it. And only short period on the highway like 90-100 miles/ hour. I also put liqui moly injector clean every oil change. When is like 1/3 in tank. And take it to highway and step on it. I also run a valve cleaner every oil change. Since i rebuild engine and have my valves cleaned. I try to keep them clean.

Also I just renewed the whole m57 engine at 124.000 miles so its in a perfect condition for it I guess.
Damn man, you answered every question that's popped up in my head in 48 hours of searching the web. If there ever was a great first video this is it.
Bro answered everything in a short video that I was searching for days

And is a shame as diesels do mess up the air we all breath !!! Including me and you .
The whole EGR , DPF system is proof of mass stupidity.

The insurance don´t go to see if you car is remaped, and only can see is the dealer BMW.

Good going dude, now you're BMW will never spontaneously combust from an oil leak.

DPF removal requires a remap, not for power but to ensure a cleaner burn. The back pressure changes so you need adjust the fuel/air mix slightly.

Why are the wipers going the wrong way? lol
Excellent explained, i have a question please if i empty the DPF is the EGR is a must to block it or i can leave it? Thank you very much
Yes is a must.
Also i forgot to say about the breather, change that too.
super video.....would you buy a BMW 1 with 300000km and DPF alarm after 3min driving?
No, is probably 2 litre and thats not a grate engine. Is high mileage. I would buy if it was dirt cheap. Like almost free.

Hello everyone. I live in Africa. The diesel cars we get here do not come with Adblue and DPFs. How is it living with a Diesel car that has a DPF and adblue. Does the check engine light remain on if the DPF is deleted?

Yesterday adblue tank had a failure which the cost of replacing it is like 1.000 euro. Personally i am thinking of removing adblue system&egr&dpf all all off. My question is this one: If i remove all of those do i have to replace the exhaust part to remove the dpf and replace it with a straight pipe or it should be fine by just deactivating adblue system&dpf&egr and keeping the egr part there in the exhaust ? Do you believe i must remove as well the dpf exhaust part with a straight part ? Thanks .
P.S : My engine is 1.6 hdi PSA Group.
Just fine by just deactivating adblue system, I desactivated on my Mercedes
Dont forget to blank the egr or will get check engine from throttle actuator over boost.

Buna Mihai! Thanxs for the great video. If i delete the egr, is the engine temperature going higher? What is your experience? Merci

Does the lci 635d have flapes? Do you know the size on the plugs for this motor?

Hello do you think removing it can improve the reliability?
I'm sure of it. Is not the dpf that is the big problem, that is just a filter and if is not blocked does nothing wrong. How ever in order for the dpf to work you need the erg system. That is the problem because it carbon up the engine. I can show you my oil now with dpf and egr off at 1000 miles . My oil is light brown. Show me 1 diesel with erg that has light brown oil after 100 miles not 1000. Do you realise how much carbon you put in that engine ... what you think id does... use some common sense
Why not just use a simple blanking plate to block the gases?
I did block them . With a 1 mm thick stainless plate

More air but not more fuel means it will run lean tho? So really you should tune it

Hello sir can you list all the changes you made and required to keep engine in top condition. thank you
I pretty much rebuild the engine.
There is one thing, if body of car has no rust, as mine was. No rust at all. Is worth rebuild and put 7-8k in the car, i even did new paint and interior refurbish, all new plastics that looked worn. Ended up to 12 k price of car purchase included. But i have a new 6 series now, well… pretty much new. If given 12 k and go to market you ll not get such a car. I mean new engine, new paint, new wheels, interior like new, all up to shape, 300 hp power, 0-60 in 5 seconds and 40 mpg with 50 on highway.

You hear the turbo quite loud, like a whistle going up and down .
@@mihairadupop2491 i thought v power cleans the injectors
There is specialised injector cleaner. Liqui moly has a good one, motul too. I usually put a tube full when is low on fuel to have it more concentrated.
With the prices now i just use the cheapest shit possible v power has gone out the window

Hi, i see now what you mean. Very nice of you to take time to explain me. Thank you.
I will tell you what i did:
1. Put new thermostat for egr
2. Put new throttle body,
3. New maf seensor
4. Remove manifold and egr and clean perfect
5. Remove flaps and put cover kit
6. Put gasket set for manifold new
7. Remove dpf from car and cut it open and remove all it had inside.
If i do highway mostly i go up to 5000 miles or 1 year. If i do city than 3000.
In cold temp, below 0 i preheat the engine with a hot air blower that i put for 1 hour under engine before start.
If I deleted the EGR & DPF what else would you suggest I must also do?
Scrap emissions, dpf etc requirements in mots but shrink the cities and give some roads back to nature
