RM can't do a simple, straightforward song to save life 😂💜 I mean, every time I am about to watch any MV of his, I know I am gonna need my whole brain to comprehend what I am seeing and hearing. In a world of bland homogeneous pop. RM makes you stop and think. Its strangely addictive and after a 4th or 5th listen... its a favourite. In a world of fast fashion and fast pop designed more for the fast buck than art. RM is that rare breed. A successful artist with alot to lose who just wants to make music. He trusts that his fans are not stupid and will enjoy complex ideas, interesting sound scapes and music designed to provoke your own imagination not be disposable brain dead junk.
I think it must be his voice manipulated because there's no one is featured in this track. I see the different personalities-theory passing by regurarly... It is said that because RM said that if he wouldn't be an artist, he would be an office worker he now is contemplating how this would be if he was But when when he tries it, he only wants to get out. But the only way out is by going back on stage. And then it starts again where the MV began. So the conclusion is that he's always drawn back to the stage, that's where he belongs and he (the 4 people representing all different sides of him) is happy (they all smile)... The overall theme of the album is self-acceptance (him feeling an outsider, not fitting in), being his authentic self and his journey to self-discovery.
Every cloud has a silver lining. A silver cloud = hope for a better future? Using parts of himself to climb up from the underground and leaving those parts behind, maybe that he needs to reintegrate with to not be lost? We listeners are meant to be lost. We are not supposed to navigate his brain clearly. After all Namjoon can't. The trouble with a high IQ is you think too much, you tie yourself up in a maze of different interpretations of every thought and emotion.

So I seem to have interpreted the MV a bit differently than others in the comments here, to me it seems Namjoon is feeling somewhat out of place on all of these shows, being propped up as a bastion of his art and uses the music video to portray all of the people who work behind the scenes (including himself, Kim Namjoon) to place this almost mythological RM on the stage at this late night show, showing Joon literally climbing on the office workers as a ladder to get high enough to reach the set of the show. Shows how all of these people combine to create the RM you see on stage.
sorry for the off topic, but have you considered reacting to EXID? they are an iconic girl group I was rewatching their MVs and on the "DDD" you came up in my mind, thought you'd definitely enjoy their songs and MVs! since "Up & Down" (2015) their concept was very strong and sexy, amazing vocals, amazing rap parts 🫢❣️
