@Benjamin Fra Svalbard Lol corrupted? oh yeah for sure! like Greece and Cyprus always giving 12 points to each other. Eastern Europe keeping the points for themselves.. And where was Belgium for The Netherlands this year? only corruption which caused The Netherlands to suffer, which is why it should have won even more convincing. I liked Norway's song this year, I really did. But this outcome was predicted for months and it's 100% fair
@Benjamin Fra Svalbard LOL apparently I am the one who gets it and you are the one who does NOT. I just explained that I agree on the corrupted voting system thing. However, it impacted The Netherlands NEGATIVELY rather than positively. Meaning that Duncan should've had more points. And the predictions do mean that it's deserved since they are based on polls, determined by watchers of Eurovision and juries. You can think what you want, But Duncan won fair and square.
Also, the youtubers of wiwiblogs are just people, and they can express their opinion, no matter what that is. Besides, they were pretty big fans of Norway this year so it's not like they ignored their quality or whatever.
Benjamin Fra Svalbard just accept that the netherlands won this year, don’t try to be some stupid that tries to push trough with his own ideas. Because you now sound like you never wanted the netherlands to win ever. And for what it’s worth, this song is just real music. Made by a real singer songwriter and not by some one that just wants to be the weirdest at ESC.
Benjamin Fra Svalbard I don’t agree with the twisted juries voting system. But I definitely do not agree with just a televotes or a juries voting system. The combination of the 2 is important to find balance. It should get less corrupted, but it shouldn’t disappear. If the televotes disappear, the watchers would never be happy with the outcome. On the other side, when the juries disappear, very often the winner wouldn’t be fair either because the watchers tend to ignore quality and just choose for “the most stupid” or “the most alternative song” which isn’t necessarily the best. The jury votes are biased but at least they take quality in account as well.
The voting system has been like this for years and years. I’m sure there were years where you liked the results of the juries better. I did. Most people did. And it will probably happen again some years. Those years you wouldn’t be complaining that the voting system is unfair.
Finally, the polls go on until the very last second of eurovision so they’re not just based on the music video, but on all the different performances as well.

Portugal is the country that gave the highest score to Duncan, 12 points from the jury and 8 from the public. This proves that the Portuguese always vote for the quality of the songs, not geopolitical reasons.
1. Portugal is only bordered by spain, and spain's songs suck.
2. 8 Points doesn't equal 12.
3. Many other countries who weren't tied to the netherlands gave a lot of points too.
4. The political voting isn't always political, for example finnish people could've voted for iceland just because it reminded them about their own winner. Or if they simply liked the song.
5. In the balkan region, "political" votes can happen since they usually know the artists better or they find it similiar.
6. Any political votes from allies dont change the result that much, for example, if serbia would win again, it would be given 12 points in the yugoslavian area, of course, and it would get a lot of votes from other people too.
7. Sweden sucks a lot of the jury votes and it isn't always political.
Dont defend your own country like that.
Also, look at the portuguese televote, 12 points to SPAIN. Guess how close that country is?

Especially when it comes to 2018 the Portuguese fell in love with opera, as they gave the 12 jury points and 7 televote points (4th after three 'Big Five"members, and the highest score, of course, is Spain) to Estonia.

2. I will defend my country whenever I think I should, and always based on facts, not personal ideas.
3. 12 plus 8 makes 20 points, the highest score the Netherlands received in this year's contest. You should know that the score of each country is divided into jury and audience. Both represent the country whose votes are announced in the final.
4. The reason why EBU chose this voting system was to minimize the effects of voting between neighboring countries and votes for political reasons. Unfortunately, many of the professional juries continue to give points for political reasons, not for the quality of the songs. Example: Greece and Cyprus.
5. The reason why the Portuguese give points to Spain is very simple: Portuguese people like Spanish music. It is no coincidence that artists such as Julio Iglesias and Pablo Alborán are very successful in Portugal.
6. The Portuguese do not always give 12 points to Spain, as we will see in the next paragraph.
7. On the official page of the Eurovision Song Contest we can find the televoting results of each year, and those same results show that:
- In 2019 the Portuguese gave 12 points to Spain.
