Very helpful! Better explained than in manual! Advice. I lined up all thee hands, but then my month hand seemed one month ahead each time I release everything back. So I relined it a little click before January (when initial setting of all three hands) and now it is exactly on the intended month.
That was way more helpful than any user manual Tissot provides with this watch. So thank you for that! You could have included the part where you can set the year, month, day though, by pulling the crown all the way out and using the pushers A and B as the user manual says. Otherwise people might think that you need to keep rotating the crown to get to the desired date. Setting the year properly is essential for the month of February for leap years. Cheers!
Advice from a watchmaker: NEVER use ballpoint pen or any ink realising device! Ink gets in it, with time it will dry and clog the pusher. Use toothpick or any pointy tool.
Thanks mate. i bought mine overseas and it didnt come with an instruction manual. your vid helped a lot!! one thing though, you forgot to mention that when the crown is on the 3rd position, it starts off with "leap year" then clicks on to adjust the other dials.
Very helpful video. Could you also comment on how to change a battery on this watch model. I was able to open the watch but there was a small ring in it and I am not sure how to connect that ring over the battery. Thank you.
It's a perpetual calendar... how do you set it accurately keeping in view the leap year setting? Right now the battery on my Tissot is gone and I need to know the correct method to set my watch according to the leap year setting before I replace the battery. Previously, when it wasn't set according to the leap year setting, the watch kept going haywire after every month.
3:08 hey buddy, regarding this setting you show with the date number, I have a similar issue but with the day indicator. The month and date number are ok but the day indicator on Sunday to Monday doesn’t go to the right position, on Sunday night at 12:00 jumps only one position and it doesn’t go to Monday position. Would be possible you to show an example with day position? Thank you man.
Thank's , there is another important thing, with tre crown in the second position, by pressing the botton you have the choice of 1,2,3 or 4. There is a table who explains what year correspond to the four numbers, for istance 2020 is number 4.
Hello James, I was gifted this watch back in 2012 and i completely forgot about it. The battery was dead when i removed the watch from the box. So i took it to a store nearby to get the batteries replaced. The technician replaced the battery and then tried to setup the watch and wasn't able to and informed me that the Date is not changing. I took the watch back home and after watching your video i realized that when the technician was trying to set up the watch the following happened. The Month was set to Oct, the day was completely off facing the opposite side of where Mon Tue etc is written... and thats when the technician was moving the hours manually by rotating the crown and he said that the date was not changing. So could it be that since the Day was not set properly the watch was not changing the dates... ??? I cannot try doing anything as the technician did not put in fresh battery as he did not want to charge me if the watch was not working correctly. Please advice. Thanks.
Hope you figured it out. You put the crown out to the second position and then follow the same instructions. With the crown in the second position the hands dont wind all the way around and stay in the position you set them when the crown is pushed in. It's still a good idea to set it back to jan 1st to start with so you know if it's set to am/PM.. hope that makes some sense its difficult to explain
Hi mate! I´m trying to do the adjustment of the date. But the date hand doesn´t get the current position. When I pull in the crown in second position, the date hand goes to left and right some times and after that, it stops in any date except the current one. Could be the battery?
You have to tell the watch at the setup in which year you are with the help of the day numbers. 1 - 3 are normal years and 4 is the leap year. So if we are now in 2017 it has to be on the 1 (first year of the cycle)
You need to reset the date as shown. Then set the date, month and day with the crown in the second position. After that they should click over as normal. I was confused about this but the watch isn't broken.
I am trying to reset Quartz Perpetual calander watch with the crown in position II date hand does not move and month and day hands move but able to bring to initial position by pressing corrector A but date hand does not move at all. Please assist to reset my watch
+Jayesh Shah I my friend! I have the same issue by now. Did you correct your watch by now? My problem is that the date hand doesn´t get the current date; I think maybe is the battery because when I pull in the crown again, the date hand moves and doesn´t go to the current date. Did you have the same issue?
ok cool what worked for me actually was setting the date when it was in the third position got it to work with the right date in the first position when setting it in the second wasn't working

Thank you so much for making this video. User manual is completely useless but with this video I had my watch set in a few minutes.

thank you for this video. Ive had this watch for 2 years now and have almost given up adjusting the date and month. Thanks again.
I got it done by a pro 2years ago and its an hour off half the year (daylight savings) but I'm scared to touch it.

Thanks for the tip. However, I did use old dried up soft tip point pen. Not a ball point pen.

my month needle is pointing opposite direction and my date needle hardly moves, any fix?
Hello mate . I am just confused with how you set the year
how can I set like September and the current month is February? Do I need to move the crown million times to get to September? Thank you.
Hope you figured it out. You put the crown out to the second position and then follow the same instructions. why my watch tissot tradition perpetual calendar doesn't change the day and week when it's midnight?
Thank you. That's big help to set up my tissot :)
My brother love his gift
hello how to replace the battery?
Hi mate! I´m trying to do the adjustment of the date. But the date hand doesn´t get the current position. When I pull in the crown in second position, the date hand goes to left and right some times and after that, it stops in any date except the current one. Could be the battery?
Many thanks. You save me a lot of time!
Bro, does it have to be reset every month, today is Sunday, 1st April and mine didn't take the position from Saturday, 31st March automatically.
reallly well done! thank you very much
Super helpful video. Thanks :)
I've just got this watch, and it has got a quite loud ticking noise. Is that normal?
Thank you! Very helpful. The ball point pen is a bad idea though, haha.
Thanks for the heads up. The pen is soft tip dry pen that does not work.
How long the life-time of the battery is?
Three years, if the battery is fresh.
Sir, I got this watch 1yr ago.I didn’t use this watch. But now It’s not working. What might be the reason.pls reply
Have you replaced the battery ? Sometimes the battery can go bad early
Charles Jin No.I didn’t use the watch yet. Thanks for responding 🙏
How does this watch accommodate for leap years?
You have to tell the watch at the setup in which year you are with the help of the day numbers. 1 - 3 are normal years and 4 is the leap year. So if we are now in 2017 it has to be on the 1 (first year of the cycle)
Brilliant, thanks helped a lot :)

Very Helpful
Excellent
Thanks a lot
Thank you!
Cheers mate
Кто может тоже, только на русском?
thanks
Incorrect advice. He never tells how important it is to set the watch for the Leap Year. Without setting that up, the watch will always be incorrect.
More confusing
IT WAS A VERY BAD AND HARSH PRESENTATION FOR A TIME PIECE!
Hossein Rashidi Harsh? how?
thanks a lot.
Thank you!
