    You are and will always be the only person on this platform that I trust with hair advice. I was so upset when you left and my heart almost jumped out of my chest when you came back. You are so talented and down to earth. Continue to do you booboo💕

    I also placed twists on my locs using Marley hair. I used 2 packs one strand per loc and I have 112 locs. I used the same method for installing Senegalese twist. I wrapped the strain at least twice around my hair then begin twisting. It was slightly heavy. I only left them in for about 3 weeks as I was afraid of the aftermath, they were fine. Once I removed, I used a soft bristle brush to remove excess hair that was holding on to my locs to ensure it was all out. I have been on this journey for over 2 years and like yourself I have noticed that my hair is getting lighter, so I went with 1b/30. These turned out nicely!!❤️

    Thank you so so much for this video. I’ve been following you for years and I’ve always appreciated your advice and information. I’ve been 5 years natural but only 3 years “healthy” natural and since my hair has reached a better state of health I’ve been seriously considering locing my hair. I’ve always loved them, my daughter has been loc’d since she was 10. My apprehension has always been that I wouldn’t have versatility and that locs were too final. Knowing that I can achieve this while having locs I think I’m ready now.

    I totally feel u. Want something new, go for it! On the flip side when it comes to locs the hair and scalp do act different so beware there may be noticeable changes down the line.
    Personally I had to stop braidouts because my locs were weakening. Since I've stopped they have began to recover. 1yr 7mts, 2nd loc cycle.

    What I like to do to help with the twist tension is to just release the twist once I feel the root starting to buckle up then proceed. I loves the way your hair turned out!

    I love them....last year I did braids over my locs and the first stylist that did them did them really tight and the were heavy like super heavy I left those in a month or so I then turned around I had another girl do them they weren't heavy and left them in for like 2 months or so and when I took the braids out OMG my locs were soooooo damaged my roots were like see through thin it was bad and so I went to a loctiction I thought I was going to have to cut them out...
    I had no idea what I was doing like no one said to me what you said that your loc have to be fully locd my were not and I had them in braids for about 4 or 5 months with no break in between...they are finally getting back healthy

    5and a half hours. Wow that’s patience. But it turned out great. I have a serious question for you. Hopefully you see this comment. I’m well 6 months locked. My hair is almost shoulder length I’m very active But I’m obsessed with washing and styling my hair ( leaving the style for 2-3 weeks before I wash and style again ) my question is will this damage my hair in the long run? Thanks in advance I’m locked on 👍🏼👊🏼👊🏼🇹🇹

    • @BlackGaymerGod
      @BlackGaymerGod 5 лет назад

      Hi, I'm replying from my second channel. And yes, though you're hair may not show signs of damage now, over time you will begin to see your locs thin out from constantly being confined. You have to allow your locs time to swell and expand. That's why I only recommend at least a week or two at most for a style. After that, you need to take it down and let it do its own thing. Lucky for you, you are 6 months in so your locs should be mature enough to withstand working out. It's great that you are consistent with keeping your hair clean but don't be afraid to let your hair out and be free. With locs, it all comes down to balance: not over-manipulating but not neglecting either. Over time, you will come to appreciate the more free messy look over the clean, polished styles
