In the making... the "Miti Pana"

This is our very own canoe... still in the making @ Labu village
preparing to accompany "Mayau Lale" when she arrives at Wagang village in September,
Today, our sister Parish, St. Kilamu Parish at Labu village who were working on the canoe sent word over to be there to witness "wok blong pasim kanu".

Yanam, Jordan and Moses were there to witness the occasion on our behalf.
This canoe is build for St. Andrews youths and St. Kilamu youths on behalf of Jabem District to sail alongside Mayau Lale when she arrives at Wagang village from Karkar on September 13, 2019.
Work is still in progress with plans for official launching on September 8, 2019 before she takes on the water and sail across to meet Mayau Lale at Wagang village on the 13th of September.
On the 27 Aug - 31 Aug 2019, we are planning to spend a week at Labu village with our families there to have a week of reflection and learning on why we are building our very own canoe, and where are we taking her to, what is her mission? Ps. Matei Ibak will be with us on this occasion before he departs back to set sail on Mayau Lale from 1st September 2019
These are lead up events towards the National Youth Conference that will be held at Lababia.
