I fully support your stance on the White Nights colours. I even buy groceries at our "Russian Store" despite not wanting to support that country. And that's the point - the workers of that shop live in my country for many years and they have no say in their homecountry's politics. And where did people learn that it seemingly is o.k. to yell at people and demean them if you have a different opinion? I guess most of those keyboard warrieres are quite meek personally. If they don't have a gun I guess, but usually that's not the case where I live 😐 Happy New Year and all the best for 2024 🥰
I very much appreciate that you are not placing politics in testing and swatching art supplies. I personally don't feel that art supplies should be a political statement. However, I hope that someday this will all end and the wars will stop I'm from a Navy family.
Happy New Year! All is well at my house, but two of my friends started off the year with more hassle than one would like. Been chatting and texting with them. I hope you had a lovely New Year's Eve! Here's to a fantastic 2024. 🥰🥰🥰
You are the least problematic person ever, I support you 👍 Also i love alcohol markers, i personally vouch for Ohuhu, you can flip their nibs when they wear out, not that I've had any wear out
I use markers once in a while. I think they are fun. + I loved the art piece. I just bought two packs of three, White Nights. I am enjoying them a lot. The ones I bought are in the blues, grays, green, amethyst, they are the granulating and I got them on Amazon. I’m not crazy for tube paints, but I just filled up my half pans. LOL I like the swatching also, Pete. It helps me decide what I want I want to try.
I'm glad you enjoyed this. I hope you enjoy the paints. I really like them and I'll probably use them a lot more in the future. There are a lot of tricks you can use with them to create some great textures.
@@IllustrationsByPete I just finished a piece today with the White Nights, that I really enjoyed doing. I took a scrap piece of paper and did a lot of messing with them, they work so well wet in wet, also did some directly on dry rough grain and it can be very vibrant, and pulled out to an amazing light hues. I love those paints.
Very cool colors from W&N! I have a few of their w/c markers which blend with a damp brush, but I’ve never tried ink-based ones. Thanks for swatching and showing how they can be used! What was the black marker you used for markmaking?
So many good points on this video! And yes! The color legends NEVER match the product. Super frustrating. I’m not a heavy marker user but those did blend nicely. Can’t beat RENDR paper! On to your rant… way to clarify your stance on your channel. People seem to want to make everything political. Too much WOKE going on in this country. Good job on holding your ground and not pandering to people. I too bought the second set of White Nights and they are freaking luscious. From what I understand, these have actual honey in them as a binder. I have my opinions on all kinds of crap going on in this world, from Israel to Ukraine, to China & Taiwan. But none of those opinions keep me from buying an art supply :) Happy New Year, Pete!
i don't mind markers, i use them once in a while and have really turned to them for my children illustrations. fast bright colors. rosa is on my wish list. they have a naples rose color in particular i would like to get hold of. it is a nice fleshy/petal peach color that i have a hard time mixing myself and have not found from other companies as a watercolor. they are from the ukrane so hard to get right now and unfortunately someone will probably drag flags into that one, too. hopefully not as bad as white knights... i'm glad i don't pay much attention to politics myself.

Thanks! Always enjoy. Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.
Thank you Denise! I had a wonderful Christmas and New Year. I hope you did as well! 🙂

Thank you for your family's service. I couldn't agree more. Happy New Year!
Yey, markers, I like markers, a video just for me - pretty colors!
I'm glad you enjoyed this. Happy New Year my friend!

Thank you Becky. I appreciate you so much. Oh, that's a great feature, I love it! I don't have any but I might need to get some. 👍🏻
Windsor and newton make those markers in watercolor markers too. That’s what I thought you were showing at first. Try them out they are nice.
I do have a small set of them. I enjoy them a lot. Very easy to use and they don't bleed through to the other side.

Those are the copic multi liners. I use a variety of different ones but I have some copics I enjoy. Glad you enjoyed this. Happy New Year! 🙂

I appreciate your support. People need to stop looking for reasons to get angry at other people. Happy New Year!

The Rosa's are on their way in. I can't wait to try them.
Oh I’m already married. I forgot
I think you might have partied a little too hard on New years. Lol.
Will you marry me?
That's a situation I wouldn't wish on anyone. My poor wife.
