Some 2 x 10's for the base is all you needed. You used a lot of lumber unnecessarily in my book. Not only that, by not putting some plywood or something underneath you give a habitat for birds and bees and other critters to nest.
No Worker Safety Police in their Neck of the Woods I presume..Working Safely= Working Productively..skimming on safety is a bad calculation...when you self-build, Go beyond Codes..Know the Building and fire and safety codes, ..make it Safe..don t give them excuses to shut you Down..
Could you provide a link to the pillars you are using? Or perhaps tell us if you welded them yourselves.

@@andreewert1925 so what? Who cares about the codes, it's much better to put down the 3/4" plywood 1st and it gives you a stable platform.
