I’m a silent viewer but I just wanted to say I’m so happy Tristan is back. Everyone especially Aaron look so happy. And I know we tend to beat ourselves up over the past but we all gotta realize that it was the past and all of us make mistakes and say things we don’t mean. Tristan had to face those demons and he did it while stepping away and not involving the family. That’s tough being away and alone and you can tell he’s really appreciated what he has. He’s able to take control of his life with no complaints and fit right in like he never left.

Aaron made me tear up, when he said he had missed those years, but sometimes things happen for a reason. Loosing your mom Aaron was heart breaking and still is, but not too long after Tristan returned and put a loving light back in your heart. So happy you have all agreed to adopt one and other. As someone that also has a past relationship with substances (I'm clean & sober now), this video has given me hope that maybe someday I will be able to rebuild my relationship with my family. You guys always say that each one of the kids was "The" missing piece, but I think the reality is each one was "A" missing piece, but they just happened to be "The" missing piece that you needed at the time when you found them...I'm so happy for Aaron because he has had to go through some things that had dimmed his light a little bit. The experiences Tristan has been through have made him wise beyond his years. My husband also grew up in the foster system, and we adopted our daughter out of foster care. The things that kids go through to have been placed in care to begin with, together with some negative experiences in care sometimes, really add up in those important formative years. For many kids, the default would be going down the path of addiction and having no secure relationships. To counter that takes a lot of fortitude, strength, and insight. It's quite inspirational to see Tristan having come through on the other side. Crystal and Aaron, you two always see the light in everyone. You are the definition of grace. ~Long time fan of your channels!

It truly was the only way I could hope to save her and pray she would find her way back to me. She is 39 today and came back to us when she found her way. It truly was the best decision because my heart knows if I let it continue I would lose her forever. It seems like Tristan needed that time away to grow and mature and become the man he is now. Sometimes that is needed. He is back now and that is what is important. I am happy for him that he will become a Pettit in name since he is definitely part of the family.

Tristan and Aaron are good together and I think Aaron really needed a young man who has the same type of experience, especially the love of cooking. Tristan is an incredible big brother.

I am delighted Tristan wants to be adopted, and you are able to adopt him. Even adults need stability in their life. Tristan has come through a lot and even though he and Aaron had cross words years back, the depth of emotion and connection and trust is clearly very strong. I must say Aaron, it wouldn't be unusual for a father and son to say awful things to each other especially where substance abuse is an issue - if you didn't care you might have said nothing or say 'not my problem '. Anyway, regardless Tristan is an absolutely lovely person and it's nice that he has really brought a positive attitude with him, everyone is gaining with him back on the family.

Whoa, prob 1 of my favorite videos now. Tristan thanks for doing it. I have been subscribed for a few years now, but did not know about the channel/family when Tristan was with you 7 years ago, so when he returned it was my 1st time even hearing about him. Just watching every video from Pieces & Beyond anyone can easily see what an incredible person he is and the joy he brings into the house.
When Aaron & Tristan got emotional towards the end ...i heard this a few years ago
    THE PAST IS HISTORY
    THE FUTURE'S A MYSTERY
    BUT NOW'S A GIFT.....and that's why it's called present

Probably one of my favorite videos, and I love them all. I'm crying. So happy for you all and only wish happiness from here on out. Everyone is where they needed to be. No regrets! Every single moment is gods timing and planning. It was suppose to happen when it happened. Live in the moment, and just be together. Ever since Tristan came back, we all noticed the healing happening in the videos. This was HUGE. You were family ALWAYS and forever.
When I was going through my own personal battles, I too distanced myself from my family. Words were said as well. It was a different time and space. I could only better myself once I got my space and come to realization. A few years later and I'm closer than I have been with them. Living in every moment, making up the memories I missed for those battling years. Aaron, don't be hard on yourself. It had to happen. I miss the years I missed too, as the child and sister. But I am in a better place in my life right now the best I've been and I had to do that on my own. Being with my family is a bonus to my healing.. I learned family is the most important thing in life to have and cherish.
