Hey man, for the beginning I would recommend you an All-in-One sample library (like Jaeger for more cinematic music or Nucleus for more orchestral music) and also a MIDI Keyboard. Depending on your soundcard you probably need an audio interface as well and also a microphone if you want to record your own tin whistle!;) You can take a look at my Live Composing Tutorial where I‘m using Jaeger exclusively, to see if you like the sound.
