I didn't know the difference either, so I asked the customer center, and they said there is no difference in function, but the type of keyboard switch is different. They say that it can make a difference in the feeling of use ;)
On a scale of 1 to 10 how hollow do you find the sound?
If you think of the low-noise red switch as 2 out of 1 to 10, this crescent switch seems to be about 4. ：）
