Oh my. One earthquake, and it's all over. Or a shift in oil business ownership. So they've partially excavated 5km of the flattest area. In months of work. Out of how many kilometers? Remember the concrete will take a while to bake and pour (my guess, 30 years). I think creating and putting up the glass and mirrors should take about 4-5 years. And installing energy systems will take 10-20 years. But digging it all out will take 10-15 years of slave labor. This is a cool idea digitally, but in real life, in a super hot desert with no water, and no people... It's tough to imagine any part of this working. I think they should make a 5km long line, and then stop, and perfect it, and maybe other countries will try it as well. And not more than 5 stories -super tall just means more supports, difficult engineering, and less light.
@@BusinessLoop one of the reasons the one word trade center took so long is because of the space they had to build it, the line construction site will be able to hold SO many more workers and machines to build it than the one word trade center did when it was under construction
Genesis 11:4 And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.
It will happen but it will be downsized eventually and it will be sold to ultra rich only as a luxury project, same happens with every single project in Middle East
The question is not if it gets completed or not, but why? Why such a silly project? A 105 miles long building? Why? What a stupid waste of of money. Why not build multiple, separate cities, each with their unique style and theme?
I asked myself the same question, and the answer is, would I go to those "multiple cities?" answer is no ... Would I go and even try to live in the "line" if it gets completed? hell yeah, it's like living in the future
This what happens when your wealth tremendously exceeds your intelligence. These people have spent their entire life in pure luxury and surrounded by yes men that a literal 'line' of 180 km is being built for absolutely no reason. It doesn't matter whether it gets built or doesn't, there's no reason for this to exist. For the price it cost to build they could succefully built a one strong colonising ship and sent it to mars to try to expand humanity to other planets. Instead this.
@@gamers-xh3uct’s the most important oil country in the world. We can’t just dismiss this stupidity. Also it seems like you skipped the emissions part of the video, this “Line” will not only be a complete disaster (if it even manages to be completed which isn’t likely) but it’s also non-eco friendly, which is ironic.
I hope it fails. Shit concept and the mirrors on its sides will surely raise the temps 15-20 C in the surrounding area, making it completely uninhabitable both for wildlife and human populations
Not going to lie, I think if it’s ever completed, it would be cool to live in. Living in American suburbs is not really something I want to live in any longer. Probably be way too expensive for me though, especially since it’s the reason why I’m still living where i am.

This is the type of stuff that starts the types of movies that are like “is there life outside the walls” “no… we aren’t allowed outside the walls”
Kids later : "Is there humanity behind these walls ?"
This entire project is the epitome of “What could possibly go wrong?”
