    In this video we show you how to easy it is to convert you top shifting transfer case to work with a Twin Stick. Twin Stick lets you separate the 2wd/4wd and the Low/High gears. The biggest benifit of this is that you can now shift into 2wd Low.
    Twin Sticks work well when you have a locker in your front axle and you need to make a sharp turn on the trail, then you can shift the Transfer Case into 2wd to help you make the turn easier.

    Just wondering (I’m new to off-roading) but why couldn’t you just drop your main shifter to to a low gear. Is that not possible while in 4x4 mode ?

    • @leonkane8240
      @leonkane8240 Год назад

      This mod allows you to shift the front axile into 2wd with out diff locking the front (so the rear axilt not active). You main shifter just determines which gear you are in whether in 2wd or 4 wheel drive.
      In the factory set up when you are in 2wd it is only the rear axile that is active. The factory set up will not allow you 2wd with the front axile.
      It is a nice mode that allows you the flexibility to have 2wd with the front axil.
      If you a new to 4wd driving, it is not really a necessary thing, it is not a common thing & I have never seen it in factory configurations.
      I am not super experienced but I would probably look @ getting air lockers back & front or @least front before this mod even though it is not an expensive mod.
      I think you would get more use out of the lockers as a newbie.
      Perhaps money better spent on your next overland trip.
      & maybe down the track when you have more experience & better able to judge its usfulness, then consider doing it.
