Wow, another broad shiur! Lots of ideas and lessons.
But that allusion to the Aqeyda as allegory is deep. Makes me rethink my anxiety as I work on my monthly tsedaqah donations. 😬
But that comment about Qohelet, and the word "yashar." That really set of bells in my head.
I remember another shiur wherein that rabbi mentioned this word can be applied to Yakov's new name: Yashar El, the same letters as Yisrael.
    "Straight to God." Wow! 😗
Wonderful shiur, Rav, will have to listen to again. Mahalo shalom! ✡️🤙🌺

Oh my goodness, Rabbi Shaul! This is the most important message, especially at this challenging time! Being a vessel to receive in order to share is certainly my life’s lesson! As an older woman, I have always been more comfortable giving than receiving. Thank you for the message that if we don’t breath in, we can’t breathe out. If we don’t receive we have nothing to share.
To quote Dr. Seuss, life’s a great balancing act! Giving and receiving are part of the same. If there’s no one to receive, I can’t give! You are the most brilliant and gifted Rabbi, my teacher! Thank you and bless you and all your loved ones!

I felt your lesson focused on selflessness and giving as a means of aligning oneself with divine energy, a profound expression of spiritual generosity that resonates deeply with one of my favorite songs, Jason Mraz's Have It All. To me, the song beautifully conveys that selfless giving is not merely about sacrifice but about connecting to the infinite flow of light and blessings that sustain creation. This alignment, achieved through actively practicing a balance of giving and receiving, creates a harmonious fusion of human effort and divine will.
Your lesson emphasizes that unconditional giving is not transactional but a means of spiritual elevation-an act of creating abundance not just for others but within oneself, preparing us as vessels to fully receive life’s blessings. This deeply mirrors the song’s themes of wishing abundance and joy for others, which I find to be an extraordinary reflection of your teachings.
I would love to hear your thoughts on this connection, as I hold deep respect and admiration for your knowledge, wisdom, and experience. Your weekly parashiyot (Did I get that right? I don't speak or read Hebrew...yet!) are my spiritual nourishment each week, and I am always mindful to give proper thanks for the weekly blessings of being connected to the endless light.

I want to pose a question to a Kabbalist about a dream that I dreamed with a mystical meaning. Who do I contact?
