Yes I do a bit each day but the last two days have been heavy drizzle up here and I don't like it one bit!!! Hopefully the start of the week will be better. Your plot is looking great Mal, so tidy and ready for the next lot of planting. Hope you've had a great weekend with your family!

Thank you Jenny it’s the best method of working an allotment along with having an overall plan and list to work to then you see your progress. The next plants in will be my Japanese overwintering onions and the next seed sown will be my onions from seed on Boxing Day. Hope things dry up for you soon Jenny. 🙏😊👍

The strawberry plant can definitely be split down and divided. It is an interesting phrase Mal - do a little and do it often. It means different things to different people. Your version is similar to mine, the key being often! Yesterday up the plot I was busy ticking off jobs, but then was overcome with old man syndrome and went for a sit in the shed to watch the fire. But I will resume the fight after work tomorrow! This weather is strange, days of heavy damp cloud, but next week looks better. With all the heavy work we do, the last time I put my back out I was washing the dog on the patio! Daft. Thoroughly enjoying your relentless campaign to move a whole allotment next door! I love watching people with a work ethic, keep it up! All the best mate on this Remembrance Sunday!🇬🇧👍

I hope your back is feeling much better now. Don't forget to stretch a bit before you start working in the garden or in the home! Stretch gets your blood moving and makes your entire body feel better.... even if you are just going to tidy the kitchen! Your allotment looks so well organized and so much space to grow the fruit and vegetables you and your family enjoy, plus space to just sit back and enjoy!

Carol your absolutely right and having worked in the fitness industry in the past myself you would think I’d know better.
Early morning stretches is the order of the day from now on. Thanks for watching 🙏😊👍

The large clumps of strawberries look like there's a few plants in them i had the same with mine i split the small plants off the side's i don't cut the foliage off them let it die back planted them in the tunnel and glasshouse beds until spring now the tomatoes are all out they should get a good start and a good root system ready to plant them out in spring before i need the tunnel/ glasshouse beds thats what i always do anyway works for me we all got diffrent ways i suppose 😊 ,
Love the colour on your flax plant , little and often is the key mal 👍

Love watching a fellow older person going slow, but often, its a overcast late spring morning here in New Zealand have spent the past 45 minutes hoeing the paths have done half, the body was aching so breakfast then back out for more tidying up, the winter brassica and sweet corn beds need weeding, always the last two to be weeded in the spring, due them having the carrots/parsnips and chard/spinach in them over the winter.

Helen keeping moving is the best form of defense when getting older and more importantly listening to your body and knowing your limits. I need to start practicing what I preach. Thanks for stopping by 🙏😊👍

New hat Mal 👍👍. The allotment looks amazing and so tidy 👍 great jobs Mal 🤭🤭 daughter done good. 5:08 why not a full size bed instead of 2 small ones? I’m old so I forget 😂😂 do you know who is taking over your old section of plot? 7:22 sadly a lot of the fruit farms here have changed strawberry 🍓 plants for blueberry 🫐 as the return on investment is much higher, good thing I have my own strawberries 🍓. 9:10 cut the tops off split them and repot as newbies 💪💪 then put out next early spring. My back has been an issue since Jesus wore short pants and I just deal with it, so be careful back issues are never ending once you have them. Ok enough Hemingway novel, have a fab day Mal thanks as always for the share, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦

I love my hats Ali as I’m sure you can tell 🤣 yes front plot is looking spot on but the back plot look like something from Armageddon 😫 I’m not really a big fan of strawberries I only grow them for my wife to be honest. Yes now I’m thinking of putting fruit trees at the front of the plot I may make that one bed and under plant trees with cosmos or something similar 🤔 Many thanks Ali have a super week ahead.🙏😊👍🇬🇧

Thank you Eric yes we have quite a few unkempt plots on our site. I can never understand why someone pays for a plot and then does nothing with it. The mind baffles mate 🙏😊👍

Cut the greenery down and just plant straight into the bed there going 😅not. They’re hardy enough. Pot up a hanging basket with the runners and hang in greenhouse for an early crop next year.
