Hi Lucy, just wanted to say how much I appreciate your content! You really are that relatable runner for me, like you say in the beginning of your videos, and I find you so encouraging. I started running 1.5 years ago, and still squarely a beginner. Have to hold myself back a lot, to stop myself getting injured. I watch a lot of running content, but I always come back to your videos. Your injury videos were an important reminder to take it easy, but also to be prepared for whatever comes. I hope to be a mum one day, and I'm already afraid of how discouraged I might be getting back into running after having to take a rest from it. Seeing you getting back to it, slowly and patiently, gives me a lot of hope for the future. I wish you all the best and thank you ❤
Thank you so much for leaving this comment ❤️ I don’t think I’ll be able to put into words how much this response to my videos means to me. This is what I do it for and I’m so happy you found my channel 🫶🏻🏃🏻♀️ You’re amazing and can do so much more than you realise! Getting back on it is just as rewarding as starting from scratch, please don’t let it put you off ❤️
Highlight of my week watching your vlog❤. I’ve started work after many years of raising kids, so not so much time to watch. But I get there in end! Still slowly recovering from my injury, but finding it difficult to get out a run, which is probably helping recovery! Keep going lovely! You two are amazing 🎉
Sounds like "been a while" means "I've missed you out here", yeah? 😁 He did? Nice! I hope Matt was encouraged by everyone's comments. He and you deserve all the support us online running buddies of yours can send your way! 👊👍👏🤝💪🤙😄 Haha, "That FLY!!" 😆 (The little b*gger.) You made sense. 😉 Your description of long-term injury is spot ON. Perfectly said and with a note of hope to bring it home. Here! Here!! Great seeing you two! (Was that a bit of French? Fun!) (Not about running: If you get a minute and feel like looking up again, say a prayer for the SE U.S. This past week that area was pummeled by a hurricane no one has seen the likes of in about 50 years. Hundreds of lives lost, hundreds more missing, millions without power, hundreds of thousands of homes totaled or gone, countless businesses gone. Pray for those still out there needing rescue, for the volunteers, for recovery of the survivors, and safety for all. And this on the brink of a multi-port strike and Elections. Running and prayer are what keep me holding it together!)
I just loved this video, seeing your cute feet running again makes me happy. What was your heart rate like? Similar to before your injury? Run/walk is such a good way to go. You can do a lot, get a good workout while avoiding injury, and finish feeling like you could do more, instead of depleted. My PF is flaring a bit so I’m trying not to push too hard. Run/walk is really good for the moment. I still do some straight running or speed work but in moderation. (Hi, Matt! …in case you are reading the comments. 😊)
Great to see you running and enjoying yourself so much!! I thought after my half marathon on Sunday i might not want to run for a while - however I am now wondering how long do I need to recover before going again!! Keep making these motivational videos certainly helps me!!
I'm so jealous you're already back on your feet. Congratulations!! How on earth is Matt running? I'd be resting for ages following what he accomplished!
I’m not quite back to normal but the runs I am able to go on are such a blessing! I have a whole new appreciation for them now 😅 I can’t get my head around how fast Matt recovers!! He’s unreal! 😆🙌
Is it possible matt is a superhuman but doesn't know it yet? I can't believe he is still moving after all those ultras
