Hi Sarah a very peaceful and magical wild camp, and so lucky with the weather and sunset, and some cloud inversion to top it off. The weather can make or break a wild camp, we all have cloudy wet windy ones, but luckily occasionally we get perfect ones, hear’s to some more great summer wild camps……….Pat

I can completely agree with that Roger. I am Also enjoying this calm Weather whilst it lasts. More time Outside is enjoyable but thinking back to my winter camps that are full of challenges it’s hard to think of a favourite season. ATB, Sarah
Only camped by a trig once, and that was Moel Hebog. Fantastic all around views. I remember my first cloud inversion. It felt as if I could walk out on to the clouds themselves. You’ve come a long way in a years worth of FB wild camping. Here’s to many more.👍⛺️👍
Yes! My trigs are much lower than Moel Hebog 🤩 but in essence they are similar And vantage points to take in the scenery. I’d wanted to Wild camo for years before but was letting anxiety get in the way. My Mindset has now shifted, making way for adventures full of positivity and adventure. It’s a great place 🌅
One of the highlights of your video for me was the carefully placed Dunston sticker, nicely centered with the middle "R" of Vargo. Great job! I enjoyed the rest too!

I were out on that day lass, but up Burbage. I didnt do much walking but sat on a rock, took my shoes off and did a bit of grounding/sunbathing....until the midges got to me :D Going to do this one night a week from now on; tuesday/wednesday. Might try and find that cup/ring carved rock next time :)

Take a walk onto Birchen Edge, one of the gritstone edges that the Dark Peak area is famous for. The views are stunning and you can also up there find Nelson's Monument and The Three Ships.
@@planestrainswildlife I was convinced it was dark peak so looked up the boarder which is about as close at Higgor Tor. Interesting! I shall study it more now I know. I can’t edit my video but can mention it in the description

What a lovely comment thank you! 🙏🏻 The cuckoos provided an amazing soundtrack. It’s not until I’ve watched the video back a few times that I’d noticed how vocal the birds were in the morning too. That’s why I love camping near the trees. Ive never heard so many cuckoos 😂
I like those little magnetic clip things Sara, are the magnets stronger than the ones in the supplied door tabs ? Have a look at my solution, I just posted a video , it's bomb proof but I wouldn't mind one of your type of thingies for my inner door. ATB 😉
Stronger than the door magnets 🧲 I used one to place my light out of the corner too, attached it to the mesh storage panel. Highly recommend. Will take a look at your vid thanks 🙏🏻
@@SoloSarahBX that's handy , I use the loops on the door zippers for hanging my head torch on because it's easy to make it go higher or lower when I have it on low power or Red and I want to be on the stealthy side.....I still think I am on exercise in the Army some nights and I have been out since 1994 🙄

I was thinking about how to reply Little grandad 😊 I think that in essence, I become so immersed into the camp and appreciate the natural environment that surrounds me so much that it always remains relevant to the camp, even when I am continuously distracted and quite probably overloaded by my senses 😆 im glad you enjoy what I share. Looking forward to making a detailed pitch video of the new tent now I know how to use it. Always so useful for anyone sat on the fence with buying a particular piece of kit. @@SoloSarahBX I have taken a big step and baught a hilleberg soulo black label with footprint.. it will arrive in the next day or so... iam like a kid at Christmas, it keeps popping into my mind and thoughts .. after I have saved up again iam going to get an x-mid.. can't decide weather to get the 1or 2 person , so please keep us updated with yours.. then by the time I have saved up you can tell me if your happy with the 1person ... I like that you name your tents . I don't have that much imagination so I call them by their name ie "iam taking the lanshan out tonight".. Take care out there.

Great spot. I feel I am there relaxing taking in the vista. I camped this weekend. First time moved on despite I was in open access area. I did initially pitch on an exposed ridge because I felt so drained. However, it motivated myself to climb to the top 520m in the Forrest of Bowland to a better pitch, listened to the sound of silence by nature. 😎🏕👍
Oh no that’s so frustrating 🙃 yeah I don’t tend to camp at popular spots but sometimes the location can’t be helped and is dictated by fatigue, weather conditions etc etc! Glad all turned out well in the end…happy camping ⛺️

I were out on that day lass, but up Burbage. I didnt do much walking but sat on a rock, took my shoes off and did a bit of grounding/sunbathing....until the midges got to me :D Going to do this one night a week from now on; tuesday/wednesday. Might try and find that cup/ring carved rock next time :)

Take a walk onto Birchen Edge, one of the gritstone edges that the Dark Peak area is famous for. The views are stunning and you can also up there find Nelson's Monument and The Three Ships.
@@planestrainswildlife I was convinced it was dark peak so looked up the boarder which is about as close at Higgor Tor. Interesting! I shall study it more now I know. I can’t edit my video but can mention it in the description

I like those little magnetic clip things Sara, are the magnets stronger than the ones in the supplied door tabs ? Have a look at my solution, I just posted a video , it's bomb proof but I wouldn't mind one of your type of thingies for my inner door. ATB 😉
Stronger than the door magnets 🧲 I used one to place my light out of the corner too, attached it to the mesh storage panel. Highly recommend. Will take a look at your vid thanks 🙏🏻
@@SoloSarahBX that's handy , I use the loops on the door zippers for hanging my head torch on because it's easy to make it go higher or lower when I have it on low power or Red and I want to be on the stealthy side.....I still think I am on exercise in the Army some nights and I have been out since 1994 🙄

I was thinking about how to reply Little grandad 😊 I think that in essence, I become so immersed into the camp and appreciate the natural environment that surrounds me so much that it always remains relevant to the camp, even when I am continuously distracted and quite probably overloaded by my senses 😆 im glad you enjoy what I share. Looking forward to making a detailed pitch video of the new tent now I know how to use it. Always so useful for anyone sat on the fence with buying a particular piece of kit. Plus it’s an excuse to mess about with it in another location! BW, Sarah
@@SoloSarahBX I have taken a big step and baught a hilleberg soulo black label with footprint.. it will arrive in the next day or so... iam like a kid at Christmas, it keeps popping into my mind and thoughts .. after I have saved up again iam going to get an x-mid.. can't decide weather to get the 1or 2 person , so please keep us updated with yours.. then by the time I have saved up you can tell me if your happy with the 1person ... I like that you name your tents . I don't have that much imagination so I call them by their name ie "iam taking the lanshan out tonight".. Take care out there.

Great spot. I feel I am there relaxing taking in the vista. I camped this weekend. First time moved on despite I was in open access area. I did initially pitch on an exposed ridge because I felt so drained. However, it motivated myself to climb to the top 520m in the Forrest of Bowland to a better pitch, listened to the sound of silence by nature. 😎🏕👍
Oh no that’s so frustrating 🙃 yeah I don’t tend to camp at popular spots but sometimes the location can’t be helped and is dictated by fatigue, weather conditions etc etc! Glad all turned out well in the end…happy camping ⛺️
