Yep... he's my "Grimm Greeter" he's a prop I've had for years, but the electronics needs a makeover the jaw is very fussy to get it to respond correctly. In this incarnation of my haunt the voice is of Paul Frees, the voice of the "Ghost Host" in the Haunted Mansion. I found a clip off of RUclips and loaded it into Audacity. I think this is where I got the clip... ruclips.net/video/gZne8B1-0UY/видео.html For the other times it is my voice using audacity, I slowed it down, dropped the pitch, doubled it and added echo.
Hi Susan! Welcome to my Channel. I hope to make some videos of my setup behind the scenes. I'm not as good as Van Oaks Cemetery's channel and I don't post content as much as I like to... but it for fun.
Be sure to check out my Haunted Garage 2019, A short 1 minute video with a slightly different set of props and layout: ruclips.net/video/KwLwSmRPfF8/видео.html
Awesome! Love the dual pneumatic lunging zombie at the EXIT sign misdirect. I need to get into pneumatics - they seem to off such an awesome startle scare.
I agree, it took me a while to get into them but ever since then I'm not looking back. The primary issue is safety, pneumatics can move quickly and with force... you have to make sure that your prop attached to doesn't come loose... this is how I know: it happened 5 seconds before I opened my haunt, we did one more test just to make sure all were activated and ready to go... and wouldn't you know it... a prop hidden behind the fence in the graveyard launched it's head up and over the fence and our fake wall in the garage. I'm glad no one was there or hurt, but yikes it can be a real wakeup call. Since then I'm very careful with the pneumatics, and I also have a kill switch with a safety cover guard on them so I don't have any surprises when I'm working on them. The second issue is force, you want to make sure you prop is lightweight and/or counter balanced so the cylinder can move the prop quickly without a lot of force... I usually have my regulator between 60 and 90 PSI, I also have individual needle valve regulators when I'm running more than one pneumatic prop. Have fun with them!
Wow what a fun haunt Ray, very cool! Love the pneumatic props and the Haunted Mansion nods! And not just cuz of my job, wink wink! Very cool buddy! Cheers😄🎃👍
I think you'll like the 2019 garage even better... There's another nod to the mansion in the pneumatic drop panel... yeah, the Haunted Mansion was a fascination for me back in the 70's when I went to Disneyworld and toured through it... a couple of times. Now I've heard it has changed and I've seen some POV video of the Tim Burton's Nightmare before Christmas, sorry I'm not a fan of that... I think it blows the concept and backstory of the Pirates of the Caribbean. Wait a sec... Your job? Tell me more my friend!
Thanks for the complement and checking out my channel -- BTW: stay tuned, I plan to post some behind the scenes and how-to content in the future... not sure when though. BTW: I checked out your channel and see you're a Halloween DIY'er too... good stuff!
That talking skeleton intro is great! He really sets the mood for what's to come in the Haunted Garage!
