As an emotional eater, I can understand your struggle. Do what's best for your physical and mental health. I came across your content on Instagram during COVID, and I love your recipes. But what kept me watching your videos was the comforting feeling and relaxation I experience every time. Keep creating and take care of yourself!

Julia, you are amazing. i've grown up in a household where my parents think mental health isn't really real, and nutrition is just health. Its really effected me, and made me realize that i need to prioritize my well being over what ppl say. Its tough! people judge others beliefs and lives when they dont even know the person! You live ur life girl! take care of yourself! and to all the mean commenters! think please before commenting! if you dont want ppl saying those things about you, dont say them about others!

This was such a great video ! Love your content as always. Before you started talking about it, I was thinking about “the video” and wondered how it may be effecting you and I’m glad you are still being your open and honest self. You encourage me more to talk in therapy about my disordered eating and learn where it comes from. Sometimes I feel ashamed, until I talk to other ppl about it who are compassionate. Thank you x

I’ve been dealing with dry scalp and flaking for a year and finally went to the doctor and eventually a dermatologist. Because of having eczema it turned out to be seborric dermatitis. Doing prescription shampoo and also a formula drops for my scalp.

i get terrible dry skin and dandruff on my scalp, it gets so itchy! i personally found oil didn’t really help and the other thing that works for me is medicated shampoo as dandruff can be fungal and this is the only way to kill it off. i also recommend hair drying your hair and not sleeping with it wet

I would try to make an emollient of some kind that is antifungal, antimicrobial and also helps with moisture. Maybe Coconut oil and lanolin? Lanolin is absolutely a miracle for me. It is a byproduct of soaking shorn wool, so animals are not harmed to make it. You can heat it up to make it more spreadable. I've never tried applying it to my scalp but it works so amazingly everywhere else, I've used it in place of antibiotic ointments even and it heals things rapidly!! Sheep make it to protect their skin from cuts and nicks and tears from heavy wool, as well as keeping them waterproof.

Hello there Julia! I live by coconut oil and tea tree essential oil. I only out a few drops of the tea tree and both of those are anti microbial and antifungal it could be a combo of both things happening and just washing with some Castile soap until it heals, also it’s not that gross at all you’re exfoliating and that’s so necessary to let your scalp breathe!

I was a vegan for quite some time before switching back to eating more omnivore style. However getting back into eating pretty much everything my scalp started to get really bad. I read that a lot of people are allergic to eggs. I love eggs and didn't want to stop eating it. However I stopped eating eggs for three months and my scalp issue went away completely! I went back to eating eggs to try again and again it came back each time I introduced eggs back into my diet. Now I don't eat it and have not had issues with my scalp. If you are introducing protein, try a little beef as your animal protein source. Just a suggestion.

I suggest apple cider vinegar and water 1/2 and 1/2 on your scalp. Use a spray bottle and your scalp will clear up.

You might have seborrheic dermatitis. You need a medicated shampoo for dry skin and try washing your hair everyday, let dry naturally and never go to bed with your hair wet.

I find tar shampoo really helps with any flakey scalp issues. It does not smell good though. 😂
