JJK really took a very dark turn ever since Gojo got successfully sealed.
My buddies were hyping up Shibuya a ton when I was watching through the anime recently, and god damn did it dial shit up to 11 so fucking fast. The first season had its dark moments sure, but Shibuya felt like an entirely different show

I think this is one of my favorite clips from the show which has been animated for one reason. There is a very prominent theme of friendship and treasuring those relationships in this show. From the very first episode we see Megumi telling Gojo to help Yuji live on out of personal feelings. We see that even the strongest sorcerer of the modern era ultimately gets sealed because he let his guard down. Even though he killed him in the end, he still saw Suguru as his one equal and best friend. This theme is hammered more in the later chapters of the manga in context of Sukuna not being able to understand 'love'. In a recent episode we see that Jogo (Mt. Fuji) just wanted to be accepted in society with Dagon and Hanami in his heart. At least that's my interpretation of it. At the end of the day everyone need loved ones to live on and find happiness in life. Even the strongest.

That's true but I really wish that story was written so that it Geto survived his fight with Yuta and it was his plan to seal Gojo. It would have been more emotionally impactful rather than having a random curse spirit seal him.

Jujutsu kaisen is basically about planning and it doesn't matter how broken you are you can still lose if someone plans against you long enough toji and kenjaku literally did this to gojo jujutsu kaisen is not about hax and overpowered abilities every power has a weakness even gojo and thats what i like about this people thought of it doesn't matter how much you plan you can't bring gojo down well guess what
The requirements to seal Gojo were also super heavy. Kenjaku paid a heavy price as well to pull it off and even then everything was a gamble. It wasn't guaranteed to work. It was a series of coincidences and luck that their plan worked out
You forgot to mention Sukuna. Regardless what people say about Fraudkuna, once he found out Megumis 10S CT he was all up on that even when Jogo gave him an out he said he had other plans. Once the fight began with Gojo said plan was already in motion.

I wish the story was rewritten so that Geto survived his fight with Yuta and it was his plan to seal Gojo. It would have been way more emotionally impactful to have him be the one to seal Gojo rather than some random curse spirit that looked like him.
Edit: After rewatching 0 and rereading the culling games, my opinion has changed. I've realized that Geto got his closure with Gojo and that Kenjaku is meant to be different than Geto. He's not supposed to be the mentor's best friend turned evil. He's a mastermind kind of like Aizen. That's the part of his character along with his curiosity that made him grow on me.
