@@woutervanwijhepianist3664 I heard weight of the world, well played. I started playing piano ( less than a year ago) and also struggle with sheets, I usually play along synthesias. I can sometime improvise from ear but its simple melodies played by one hand. Have you used anything to sharpen your hearing? Or you think it's innate? I currently use app called "Perfect ear", but not sure if it's helpful. Thanks a lot :)
I also guess you hear chunks of 5 sec, improvise on that by memory. And building up from there. Or it's hearing all of the song, and playing from start to finish? I'm just curious :o
@@nf191 I don't have perfect pitch but figure it out bit by bit indeed. First I figure out the key and then try to learn the base melody and base chords. On that I improvise untill I have something I like. I have gotten better at it and I suppose practicing helps. Also some knowledge of chords/key ladders (don't know if that's the proper term) helps.
Thank you! It's mostly dusting and cleaning with wipes that are suited for the piano surface (same ones you can use for monitors/television) and that's it :)
