    Hey, did changing the belt increase your speed?

      rich bebie not so much as throttle response, and grabbing force of the clutches. Both clutches work as they should so final operating diameters of the clutches are at their maximum, thus no change in speed. I did a rear sprocket upgrade (12 tooth front sprocket, 38 tooth rear sprocket) and put bigger diameter tires on rear, it helped the trailboss top end a bit. The reality is the trailboss is no speed machine. Good/ok bottom end, extremely anorexic top end. Good for woodsy trails, not great for miles and miles of straight flat trails with everyone doing 50mph+ leaving you in the dust.

      @@dustinelgan6070 Its a good trail machine. I feel like I want more power on the road but I am already speeding past the 35MPH ATV speed limit. Mine will do over 50MPH if there is enough room. Cruises at 40-42 very easily. Low end seems to be pretty decent. Mine is a Magnum so it has a shaft drive, not sure if that makes a difference. Amsoil in the engine and diff seemed to help greatly.

      I just changed mine it will not effect top speed but acceleration will increase depending how bad your belt was I can tell mine can 40 to 45 a second or two faster then it was

    Just a question, I have a magnum 325 that sometimes can be very spluttery or take a long time to build the revs up when your riding it. In the past I have cleaned the plug as its choked up and this has improved it slightly and one time I changed the carb that made it worse so I cleaned the original carb and found like a peice of nylon or thread in the fuel chamber once this was cleaned it ran perfect for quite a long period of time but now I'm having trouble with it building up revs and pulling properly again. Is their a common fault with the polaris that causes this and what can fix it if you know the answer please.

      Watch my fuel pump videos and check your fuel tank fittings that feed fuel to the carb, those can get plugged easily, they have screens on them.

    Does 325 switch gears? Or just one?

      Hi, sorry I didn't see your comment until today. Check eBay or keep your eyes open on Craigslist for someone parting an ATV out. There's a lot of different cvt tranis out there. Best of luck in your search.

    I was just wondering because I have a magnum 425 that is completely gutless on the top end. it will barely do 30mph. I have done a lot to troubleshoot and just got to the point where I am changing the belt to see if that helps... I will let you know what I come up with.

      rich bebie your belt may be slipping or one of your clutches is worn and isn't opening/closing completely thus affecting your top end. Run your machine with the cover off and watch your clutches in action as I did. That is a potential problem. Best of luck to ya!

    Can please tell me why my clutch has oil inside on it? Is normal or whats

    • @dustinelgan6070
      @dustinelgan6070  Год назад

      You have a leaky output seal from the engine or leaky input seal on transmission. The clutches have the shrouds to keep oil, water and dirt out. Check to make sure your shrouds are sealing up properly as well. That’s my best guess. Good luck

      Ben g lol, sorry no update. I sold the quad to my best friend last year. But I can say it was the best mod that I performed on the trailboss, top end was better and I wasn’t hurting on the low end. Hope that helps you make a decision on upgrading your quad
