Found this video after i put together my royal gourmet grill..appreciate the wholesome content.
Thank you and thanks for watching!
Thanks for the video, I’ll be prepping mine tonight. And will be smoking this weekend for Memorial Day weekend 🎉
There you go!!!!! Have a great weekend, you’ll love the grill too!!!
Hey Jerrald, Think I can use wood pellets?
I bought this and you gotta seal any gaps when you're trying to smoke anything. Otherwise it's a pain in ass trying to maintain a temperature.
I’d like to see a video on it!
You seem like such a nice guy. I was just gifted this grill and going to season it tonight. It's my first barrel smoker and I look forward to using it. I understand it's not the best smoker but I believe it's a great starter and.... Can't beat a brand new one for free! Thanks for your tips on this and in other videos. You got a new sub today. Stay blessed.
Thank you, appreciate it!!! Nothing beats free!!!! You’ll love the grill too!
I have the same smoker, am seasoning it as I type this, lol. Noticing a lot of smoke leaking out from the sides of the smoker box and main body. Have you tried sealing yours to try and improve airflow?
I haven’t tried sealing, but I might. I think the temp drops somewhat when you opt to use the smoke box. Overall, I love the grill.
nice
Thank you!
My son and I just finished our Grill. Missing axel for the wheels.
Just bought a grill for the first time. This exact grill actually. I have a question. What do you do to cool down the grill when the temperature is getting close toward 400?
Hello! I would close the vent and stack pipe to control the temperature.
And congratulations!!!
@@derrickwhitley ok ok thank you! I wasn’t sure whether I should open the grill to control the temp but that makes more sense.
@@MarciaPriceDC The more open the vents are the higher the temperature will be there’s a bunch of videos on RUclips on how to maintain temperature with a offset smoker
So, have you enjoyed using this offset smoker?
Ken Gary I love it!
Something I noticed. I have a slightly different model apparently. I didn't get that side table and my front table has grates.
PrinceCezar27 Take it back and treat yourself, don’t cheat yourself!
I’ve never grilled other than 20+ years ago but never owned one either. I got the same grill as a wedding gift. So I neglected to read to the instructions and did not season my grill before doing a test run. How would this affect the grill in the long run? I’m gonna season it for my next cookout now that I know. Also, do I need to season it every time I grill or just every now and then?
Congratulations!!!! Seasoning protects it from rust. It’s recommended every few months, but depending on your region, obviously it wouldn’t be necessary during brutal winters. Also, seasoning grates helps keep food from sticking. I love my grill, you will too!!!
In addition, I plan on making a video showing people how to restore their grills. Thanks for watching!!!!!
Appreciate the advice. I forgot to tell u I also didn’t know there’s a temp limit so my last cookout reached 600 F at one point (I actually read it in the manual but forgot about it) so some of the exterior paint peeled off. I’ve already ordered some fire retardant paint to spray over to prevent rusting
@@jowats3540 Great job!!!!

In addition, if you know someone who might need help with assembly, the assembly/installation playlist on this channel has videos dedicated to it.
@@derrickwhitley thank you
what if you wanted to seer a steak? you need like 500 for that........what if you use this as a charcoal grill as well?
Works well either way. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
I liked the video til you started the grill with lighter fluid.. Way better ways to start a grill I use fatwood under the charcoal
You’re right! I use a chimney now and will never use lighter fluid again.
Didn’t the inside get sticky as oil did not fully get carbonized with low heat and coating? Why would you “season” a grill that’s powder coated inside? You season raw metal exposed to prevent from rust. You season iron pan to prevent rust and food sticking but what you did was like seasoning a frying pan that has coating on it…
You think so?
The owners Manual of the grill says to do this before first cook. It protects the finish.
Hate this grill already 😒 terrible quality
Really? In a different gourmet grill video I mentioned that it wasn’t a top tier grill, but I still have and use it from time to time.
