Wow, Dr. Kristen really looked at everything, and had a hard time saying that maybe it was time to let that poor lady go. I like a Vet that isn't wanting to give up too soon, but knows when quality of life is no longer there. You can feel it through the screen. A very good Vet, and a keeper.
Hello from France When I see the little black and white skinny horse with his horrible feet, I just want to scream and😢... Poor horses🥺 Bon courage à vous.
It’s unfortunate but some horses just can’t be “fixed”, you try and that’s what counts. You give the unfixables (as I call them) a few good hours, days, months and they get to experience good things coming from humans compared to their previous life of abuse and neglect. God bless all of you for what you do. 🥰🙏
That sweet mare. I know its so hard to make that last call, but its for their sake. They should never have to live in pain. Im sooooo happy they brought their senior horse to you guys!! He could have ended up at auction very soon. I hope he finds a forever home soon.
Love watching your channel, watching the vet diagnosing the horses. So miss that at horse plus. Watching you all the time . Good job taking care of these babies.
Dr. Lydia is coming on full time, and they're hiring Dr. Gina too. Both of them start in January, so we'll be seeing more vet content soon at Horse Plus. 🙂
I love what you all do for the horses you rescue or the ones surrendered. That you work with each animal, vet, evaluate and Ferrier them. Honestly love your channel above and beyond Horse Plus in Tennessee. Just sayin
@@lauriewilt2622 This isn’t a competition. And there’s no need to put others down. Personally, I watch and appreciate both. There’s plenty of work to go around to make the world a better place.
I read Pony Rescue's reply about Kylie leaving. It must impact on you all seeing such neglected horses and having to make life and death decisions. Especially when you have invested such love and care into them. Then you have to see them go to new homes. It must be with mixed feelings, happy for them to get new homes. Sad if you have looked after them for a while. I am so glad Kylie is taking Larry with her to continue his training. Your winters are terrible too. We get bad winters in England but nothing like you get. Last Saturday my eleven year old grandson had a riding lesson. The stables dont have a covered arena, and suddenly the sun went behind clouds and the temperature dropped to 3°Celsius. It was probably colder with the wind chill. Despite having many layers on and good gloves he started crying as he was so cold. He is a real toughie but he was frozen. The instructor is lovely, she asked if he wanted to stop and he did. While he was warming up in the car with his grandad I helped untack the horses. I took my gloves off and after doing one horse I couldn't feel my fingers. It was so painful! I don't know how I managed to do the next three. I honestly thought of you all as I struggled. Then leading them out to the field, I slipped as it was starting to freeze. You all dont have a choice like many people do in bad weather. You have to get up, check the water isnt frozen and that horses etc have food. You all have my deepest respect and admiration. Good luck Kylie in your new job and thank you for all the wonderful work you have done x
Your intro always makes me smile, especially the horse lipping at Cindy's hat and Envy bucking. Awww, we'll miss Kylee so much. I'm happy she's adopting Larry The Lanky Leaper. I've been in love with him since he stepped off the trailer.
Kylee you will be missed by all of us as well! I’m sorry Cordelia and the others with ring bone 😢! So happy for the halfi!! Dr Kristen is awesome and so is Dr Chiro! Pauly….best farrier award goes to you!! 😊
I love Larry!❤ So sad to see Kylie go! Best Wishes for the two of them❤. You have a lot of leg & feet problems with this new bunch. Some hard decisions to make😢. So many sweet lives that have had some hard times, but you have had so many success you get them through & find them good homes. I love your new Vet she fits in with your team really well. God Bless all of you! Merry Christmas. ❤❤❤
I love the way everyone takes care of the horses and I’m grateful for all you girls, Dr Kristin, and Pauley. You’re the best! Best of luck to Kylie on her adventure but she’ll be back.😊
Dr Kristen is a wonderful vet. She really thinks through it all. Pauline is great too!! Really all you guys are great.all the horses that you have taken in are doing so well. And of course you will be homing a great deal more.
Don't bite butts. We had this talk. I like listening to her geek out about her job. She loves to heal, and that is obvious in how she treats her patients.
I normally don’t comment before I’ve watched the first two minutes but I have to say your intro video is by far the best RUclips intro I’ve ever seen!!! I really enjoy watching your videos!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’ve followed a lot of rescues on RUclips but none of them actually show anything good and just use a lot of “at home remedies” in my opinion that’s not a real rescue. Pony tales has my mad respect and one of the only ones that shows the good bad and ugly. Being a horse trainer I appreciate the fact yall have the farrier and vet out religiously. This is what I think a true rescue should be. Thank you for doing what you’re doing.
With due respect, as a rescue, most horses are living their last, have multiple problems, and sometimes we have to allocate funds accordingly. The home remedies can be good interim techniques until veterinary intervention can be funded. 25k on a rupture after a food tube stuck in, 9k on a sick alpaca that ultimately needed euthanasia, 5k and counting on a lacerated fetlock, 2 cushings diagnosis, one pending lame total assessment. farrier visits for 16 rescues, and this is all in 6 months. We are so dependent on volunteers and donations. Rescues can be under regulated, but please take peace in knowing there are good rescues out there. The knowledge and facility here is enviable. Loved the vid☺️
Thanks for all you do for the horses. It's sad to see the previous owners give up on their aging horses. I'm happy that you all give them a soft place to land. Why do people ignore their feet? We're on a 5 week trim cycle for my horses. My 18 year old gelding has laminitis and does great with glue on shoes along with a low sugar diet. He came to me with undiagnosed laminitis but I recognized it right away. He can now enjoy running with my mares. I'm sorry to Kylie go but Larry found a great home with her. Hes a cool horse.
Just so sad to se and here about all bad news. But Dr Kristen is a good vet and does not give up so easy. Love that. And Pauly... did he take that haflinger home? Bless you all and so sa to see that Kylie is gone to another job. Glad she adoptet Larry.
I really enjoy these videos, especially the parts were Dr Kristen and Pauly give their expertise, so informative and interesting! Following the progress of these horses is so great, makes me wait impatiently for the next upload 😄
Sad to see Kyle go she is so awesome with the horse's you can see how much she loves them I will miss watching her beautiful smile❤😥😥 , she'll be back 👍 Dr Kristen always awesome with the horse's👍❤😉 Pauly you awesome to 👍❤ and God Bless ALL👏✌
Dr. Kristen is such a sweet compassionate vet not all vets are like her. She really cares about these animals wants to give them every chance that they can before anything drastic… I have always had a soft spot in my heart for Julie. I know she got adopted but if I live closer to you, I do come and got her. I know there’s something about her. I like she’s not the prettiest, but I think she’s a cute little horse. I’d like to know what breed she is. And Sunny is another one. I think she is just awesome. I had to take her to.. I live in Utah and we have so many mountains with bows and stuff. I would just love to get up in those mountains bare back with her just clump clump clump through the metal.
You guys are wonderful, and try your best. I just love the way you work through (and show it!) each horse with the Dr. Krisitn and Pauly. I am getting way too old to ride, and my horse is 20, but here she sits, with plenty of food, a comfortable barn, farrier care and vet care. I love knowing she is taken care of, and I know where she will be until she dies.
Boy those two horses getting looked at from the chiropractor. The palomino is so beautiful and has such kind eyes. So sad it didn’t look good for him! Oh Kylee, I will really miss you! Your kind, quiet way with the horses and your smile. Wishing you all the best for your future! I cried a little along with you 🥺 But I am very happy for you and Larry, congratulations! 🎉 I am sure you will have lots of fun with him. It’s always such a pleasure to watch Dr. Kristin work!'
The horse that seems to have problem walking reminds me of the big lick horses. Their hips always get destroyed when they are used for an artificial gait.
6:00 so another helpful thing we do through brushing, is to help this losen up so the horse is more ready for working.. 😊 Brushing has so many benefits, and I do not understand people who doesn't put time or energy into it.
Was Pauly considering taking Sunny home with him ? They looked good together. The whole team does great work for the horses and it is so nice to see the good results you can achieve for them.
You have to love Pauly and the hard work he does at the rescue and he gives 110 percent to help the animals and the rescue staff...he's so tired looking some days and you want to take care of him and on free adoption days the whole staff needs care and kindness and love for what they do day after day ❤️! God bless you all every one!

We had a horse that actually developed an allergy to saw dust/pine shavings. Our vet recommended dog mange cream to dry up the oosing, scabing sores. And had to start bedding her on straw
Well shoot I hate to see Kylie leave. I’ll miss seeing you, Kylie. I hope you come back and visit. I missed the premiere tonight. Watched my grandson skate. Thank you for the video.
I love what y’all do. I grew up around horses. My grandmother had them until the day she passed from cancer in 1992. She thought me so much and the horses were my life saver. They saved my life and thought me how to trust again. Thank you for what y’all do for the animals that saved me and maybe they will make life saving difference for others and themselves.
Aww, I'm gonna miss Kyleigh 😢 she's such a beautiful young lady and has a sweet soul❤ I hope all goes great with her new journey! As always, thank y'all for everything that y'all do to help the horses and animals! I love y'all ❤😊
Good luck Kylie wishing you & Larry all the very best, and hope to see you make the occasional cameo appearances. Some tough calls Cindy but it’s all about quality of life.. kudos.. Dr Kristen Farrier Pauley, clever chiropractor, and team, great work helping these lovely critters gain a better quality of life, thank you so much for giving your very best! With many source blessings with truth clarity love light laughter happiness joy fun play creativity adventures abundance wisdom wealth health and may peace be with you all! Victoria Australia 🇦🇺 xo 😘
I think hubby could make a slight ramp where the xray slide could fit in a slot next to the hoof. Just, on other channels too its always a task to get the horse to stand up on a plank to take the ideal coffin bone xray. I know it's new, but I bet he would think about it and maybe make something to help out that situation, just because there will be more to come. Idk, always placing the xray slide in a slight different direction based on the horses existing damage and turn out maybe a fixture wouldnt work...but just a ramped up area with slots the xray slide could fit down in. Or how about a lift, two jacks under the front feet after they walk up on a plank... just like the front end of a car but... gently... and only a couple inches. More like the lift on a barber chair.
i dont know why more people dont clean out their geldings on a regular basis, ( or mares in teat area) my geldings were a riot, thed " drop" for me, " or stretch out..they enjoyed it lol. i had one that had alot of beans, that was un happy at first..but half way through it, he was like oh , that feels good, next time , he was like okay! not scary, we did ours on a regular basis, its just regular maintenance. i dont see why many owners dont do it. i learned from my vet. .
It is always hard for rescues when they lose valued staff. Trainers etc have to live too and when jobs come up that will be able to pay more one cannot fault the staff member for looking to improve their finances and continue with getting better at what they love. The fans will miss Kylie and your right, if not for her many of the horses might not have found their new homes. Best of luck girl, you go out there and improve your life and your skills and the lives of future horses that you might work with.
OMG! Kylie will be missed. She was so good working with the horses, knowing their sweet spots especially when Paulie the farrier comes. The one horse was so mesmerized by her scratches that I don't even think the horse knew Paulie was even there, let alone working on the feet. Maybe she'll be back to volunteer. Best of luck Kaylie!
I will miss Kylie a lot! Hopefully she will be happy at her new job. It was always great to see with how much patience she worked with the horses. For all of you guys that are still on deck: don't forget to take care of yourself! Drink enough and eat regularly and don't forget to make time for yourself here and there too! I get really sad to see all these poor horses with more or less bad problems going on. You all absolutely do the best you can but sometimes there's no way for them to live a comfortable life and we need to let them go. Extremely sad - always. But it's good that we can at least help them like this, when everything else doesn't work out. Dr. Wodack, Dr. Kristen & Pauly are just amazing at their jobs, always doing their best which is incredible! YAY for Sunny working that cute, haflinger chonky walk and for the horses who found homes. ♥ Thank you so much for your hard work one day after another!
Love seeing your extremely talented vet and farrier and your caring rescuers coming together to help these horses...I'm not a fan of pseudo science in some 'remedies' or 'treatments'. I remember the fake spring loaded spinal hammer gun that was promoted by animal chiropractors a few years back.
lol Pauly’s always a riot 😂 he’s awesome and obviously cares for the horses even though he’s got the difficult job of dealing with hooved babies bigger and heavier than him who don’t want their feet worked on
Congrats on the xray equipment and the growing skills. What an amazing resource to have. Now I am ready for a scale so we can track their weight changes. Although cheaper then an xray, still some cost to it, and setup of an area to use it in. Maybe wait until the holidays are over but after that, rdy to fund raise for a scale?
This poor girl with the holes in her head that was hit by the car I just feel for this mayor I’m just sick thank you Dr. Kristen for all you do for these old new broke down sad horses they need somebody just like you you’re so gentle and then try to shave that I don’t know what it is like tryoozing or something I don’t know I feel so bad again thank you Dr. Kristen for what you do that mayor is really good as you scrub all that dry oozing stuff. God bless you guys. Yeah I was thinking maybe out of x-ray that and she was going on its side between the two holes. thank God, there are no maggots in there. Everybody will be grabbing a bucket to barf and maggots have to be the nastiest things ever no
What these women do at ponytails to save this little black horse I think her name is Julie if you want ahead videos, you’ll see her now she turned into a really cute little mare.

So many people get ponies and horses as pets not knowing how much care they really need and how fragile they can be, lack of 100% needed care is the road to a very sad outcome more often than is actually seen! So much pain is hidden by horses, living everyday in pain is terrible! Poor animals!
Oh poor Julie I feel so bad for her. That must’ve been so painful. I wonder what could’ve gone through in and out like that hole on one side all the way through to the other side what kind of done that?
also, another trick we used to be able to check their teeth, we put molasses on our finger, then wiped it on the tounge..they associated it with open your mouth, let me look, some would stick out their tounge.. lol kinda like we used to put a bit of molasses on the snaffle bit, or dip it in warm water, we had a few that would pick up their bits.., because it was a positive experience, . winter, we gave warm water with a lil molasses as a treat , ( pita in winter to heat up water, to luke warm , but lol during summer, we put an ice block in the trouugh or as a treat gave ice cubes. ..to make sure they had hydration, ours were kinda spoiled, lol. butour ver and fairrier were happy, we only had to point and they would lift that leg, ..a little work each day, and a reward goes a long way. not always a treat, but scratch top of tail, or belly, inner back leg, ..farrier laughed , trim hinds = inner leg belly scratch.. he gladly did it. lol.
Wow, Dr. Kristen really looked at everything, and had a hard time saying that maybe it was time to let that poor lady go. I like a Vet that isn't wanting to give up too soon, but knows when quality of life is no longer there. You can feel it through the screen. A very good Vet, and a keeper.
I second that! Dr. Kristen is exactly the kind we need!😊🧡💜🧡
I agree.
I sure wish I had this quality of vet meet me when I had my big mare. We would have been able to get to the bottom of her problems.
I can’t imagine them being able to save as many without such an outstanding team. Dr Kristen, Pauline, even the Sheriff’s office helps.
Can't belive Kylie is moving on. Will miss seeing her smiling face. Best of luck Kylie!
So young and so crippled because someone did not bother to take care of her feet. Absolutely heartbreaking.
Love Larry, I'm glad Kylie has adopted him
This poor baby with a hole in her head. Thank you Dr. Kristen for all you do and all of the staff at ponytail.
Follow your dreams Kylie, Thank you for your kind heart and gentle care with the horses. Best of luck with Larry too!
Be well and prosper Kylie,I wish you many happy days with Larry.

I need to know who the vet is in the black jacket ? New follower and I could learn a lot from her. She’s amazing 8:56
Dr. Wodack! :)
Good luck Kylie wishing you & Larry all the very best, and hope to see you make the occasional cameo appearances.
Some tough calls Cindy but it’s all about quality of life.. kudos..

Oh no. Kylie is leaving. I shall miss you. I loved watching you work the horses. Good luck in your new job.
Thank you for sharing.🐴
i dont know why more people dont clean out their geldings on a regular basis, ( or mares in teat area) my geldings were a riot, thed " drop" for me, " or stretch out..they enjoyed it lol. i had one that had alot of beans, that was un happy at first..but half way through it, he was like oh , that feels good, next time , he was like okay! not scary, we did ours on a regular basis, its just regular maintenance. i dont see why many owners dont do it. i learned from my vet.
Got my army green hoodie today! Yay! Better news is coming, I just know it.
And as of today it officially has hay in the pocket! 🤣

We love this! Lol!!
I watch your videos all the way from Western Australia in Quairading 😊
Sunny looks like my brother’s pony Fluffy. She was also my dad’s pony. She was quite old when she passed.
Hi from 🇬🇧
Hello from Robin Hood Country
Hello!
People suck. Thank God for people like y'all
Very very interesting video. Thank you with sharing.🐴
Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much for your hard work one day after another!
That Black Amish draft type at the end. Almost looks like she has Poll Evil. We have a gelding that has it.
Poll Evil???
What is that? Never heard of it.
Wow. That Neurological case that was weird.
Hi from coastal North Carolina.
Hello there!
Thanks!
Thank you!
@@PonyTalesRefuge You're welcome, keep up the good work that you're doing to help the horses ❤
Hello from Virginia
Looking at the halflinger gelding, and other neurologicals…Lyme came to mind?
lol Pauly’s always a riot 😂 he’s awesome and obviously cares for the horses even though he’s got the difficult job of dealing with hooved babies bigger and heavier than him who don’t want their feet worked on
Congrats on the xray equipment and the growing skills.
Everybody will be grabbing a bucket to barf and maggots have to be the nastiest things ever no
I’m wondering given the through and through hole if it was a projectile rather than a car accident.
Fantastic job crew!!!
The neurological 2yr old possible Wobblers Syndrome?
Great job. I thought Paulie was going to buy that horse. It looked like the perfect fit for him. Have a Happy New Year.
What these women do at ponytails to save this little black horse I think her name is Julie if you want ahead videos, you’ll see her now she turned into a really cute little mare.
The Save America’s Forgotten Equines (SAFE) Act (H.R. 3475 and S. 2037) is a bipartisan bill that permanently bans horse slaughter in the United States and prohibits the exportation of horses for slaughter
PLEASE CONTACT your congressmen and senators! PLEASE!
Here's what I wrote or write your own (to your representatives):
I BEG YOU, BEG you to help pass the SAFE act to help protect horses, mules and donkeys from slaughter! California passed this YEARS AGO! What our equine who end up in the slaughter pipeline suffer is DISGUSTING! IT'S BARBARIC and it is WRONG! PLEASE get this across the FINISH LINE once and for all! Otherwise, I DARE you to attend ANY auction/slaughter pipeline in the US! You won't wait a minute longer once you do!
Be a champion for these companion animals who DESPERATELY NEED this LEGISLATION!
......
And PLEASE keep writing and calling until this law finally gets passed! PLEASE!
So many people get ponies and horses as pets not knowing how much care they really need and how fragile they can be, lack of 100% needed care is the road to a very sad outcome more often than is actually seen! So much pain is hidden by horses, living everyday in pain is terrible! Poor animals!
Where did you get those cool boots. Sort of leather and striped appearance.
Oh poor Julie I feel so bad for her. That must’ve been so painful. I wonder what could’ve gone through in and out like that hole on one side all the way through to the other side what kind of done that?
also, another trick we used to be able to check their teeth, we put molasses on our finger, then wiped it on the tounge..they associated it with open your mouth, let me look, some would stick out their tounge.. lol kinda like we used to put a bit of molasses on the snaffle bit, or dip it in warm water, we had a few that would pick up their bits.., because it was a positive experience, . winter, we gave warm water with a lil molasses as a treat , ( pita in winter to heat up water, to luke warm , but lol during summer, we put an ice block in the trouugh or as a treat gave ice cubes. ..to make sure they had hydration, ours were kinda spoiled, lol. butour ver and fairrier were happy, we only had to point and they would lift that leg, ..a little work each day, and a reward goes a long way. not always a treat, but scratch top of tail, or belly, inner back leg, ..farrier laughed , trim hinds = inner leg belly scratch.. he gladly did it. lol.
