Fun fact on why Nimrod became 'idiot' - it was Bugs Bunny making fun of Elmer Fudd, as "Nimrod" was a great hunter. Elmer isn't exactly the best hunter, so he was mocking Elmer's hunting abilities, but the 'great hunter' reference flew over most people's heads, and they thought Bugs was just calling him an idiot.
Id argue it also fts with the idea that building the Tower of Babel was an idiotic idea.
@@joelsasmad sure but in the common vernacular, bugs bunny is by far a bigger influence.
Exactly, it's like how people call someone Einstein when they're calling them an idiot
Jean isn't his step-mom. She's the mom who stepped up.
24:10 We literally recieve an explanation in this episode of why they can't just go back in time to fix things.
In the comics Bastion is a mystical fusion of Master Mold and Nimrod, that was sent through a magical portal called the Siege Perilous
it's the marvel version of the "great replacement theory ", obviously parallels to real life
Love the referenced to fix points and the What....If episode where Dr. Strange lost his heart. Also love the reference to the Sorcerers of Kormertaj. I sure Wong is still watching re-runs of the Sopranos.
According to Marvel comics, mutants scientific name is "homo sapien superior" and that's why most "homo sapiens" may be jealous or fearful specially if homo sapiens becomes smaller in population. That's my take on this.
I think Magneto tapped into where the concentration of the Earth's magnetic field and use it to augment his power and emit an EMP (Electro Magnetic Pulse) to shut down the Prime Sentinels.
So we did meet Bastion’s parents in the two part episode One Man’s Worth. The One with the Nimrod alternate future with Wolverine and Storm.
Magneto just saying enough and then doing what he did gave me chills
Like it was cold as fuck. But also people seem to not ofteb realize that with this move alone magneto likely killed hundreds of millions of people and mutants alike. Every plane in the air went down. Most crashing.
Imagine no electricity. Our supply lines are broken and billions... yes 9 figures will starve. And if he turned or weakened the field enough the solar radiation would end all complex life forms. Plants. Animals people.
He very overeacted here. Still cold. Still cool. But sadly the only meh point cause i wanted him to make a better point than saving 2 mutants and himself on asteroid m.
Thing to recognize. With Magneto taking out the power across the planet there are at least thousands if not millions of people died. Anyone in a plane, anyone on life support, anyone on a ship. Gone.
That is why Wolverine said that “Magneto Declared War on the Entire Planet” because he protected millions of mutants but at the cost of millions of humans. I didn’t take that into consideration until the next part.
To be fair, the episode could've shown all that.
First Captain America & now Spider-Man. Who's the next superhero will be in this series 😳?
I need a poster or T-shirt with “Magneto was Right” from the Grant Morrison comic
Awwwww yeah! Was just thinking I hadn't seen Storm reacting to X-Men '97 in a minute!
I didnt know professor X was a beetle borg.
This is the first-ever appearance of the Greatest Marvel Supervillain of them all, Doctor Doom (always intended as THE final BIg Bad of the MULTIVERSE SAGA.
Why does it take for you too long to react and upload videos of subsequent episodes?
Bro they have families and other responsibilities outside of reactions lol.
They release the episodes once a week just like many other reactors like BlindWave.
@@QuasarYGO I'm talkin X-Men 97. Trust me, their episode 9 will be 3 weeks from now.
