Tina always makes me tear up (to be honest, a lot of the characters do). But Tina has a relatability to her. I saw my mam doing a job unappreciated for so many years as she raised me and my brother alone, and I know how far just being appreciated would have gone, seeing Tina get that respect, appreciation just makes me so happy man.
Tina and Ritchie have 2 of the best and most natural character growth arcs in all of tv history. I absolutely HATED these characters during the first few episodes of season one, and now I love them so much I can’t imagine the show without them.
I think it helps when it becomes transparent that they only act that way to start because they're afraid of more change without Mikey. I always liked the both of them somewhat, but you can see where they've been coming from that way
Tina getting the offer to be the sous chef was great. Considering how angry she was in season one with Syd, to get to this point. great character development.
Don't forget Sid told Carny the gas is OFF till they get their inspection, that's why nobody's back there experimenting with menu ideas. That's actually a major plot point this season is getting fire back.
I found it hilarious that “Succession” while being a ‘drama’ was deliberately funny as often as “The Bear” is deliberately dramatic and tense; and as a drama, “The Bear” hits better
Seeing Eric and Aaron rock out to New Noise at the end filled me with so much joy. That is one of the quintessential punk songs of all time and it is used so well in this show as Carmie’s kind of theme song.
I want everyone to realize Harold ramis and the production of this still smells like a john Hughes movie, it’s so god damn great…….he was a life long Chicagoan, the music and everything still screams a unique style. I wish film makers would continue this style….
I really like how much this show trusts its audience: ( spoilers for Carmy's character and a relationship to the other characters this season) When Carmy gets into a relationship, it feels very very real. And I love romance! But the fact that he's dating got on my nerves. Not because I dislike the girl or Carmy, but because of what it does in relation to all the other characters! We never have anyone say 'Carmy is not here', we just *see* it. We see it in the fact that he's not at the restaurant and with how much others have to pick up the slack. We see the unfairness in it because we all have friends or colleagues we wished would show up more. Even if their life is good rn, responsibility and accountability is important. So just the fact that we can miss the pressence of a certain character speaks volumes of the writing on this show.
I just noticed a weird continuity error on this episode - when they all go home early for the night near the end of the episode, Carmy is sitting in his apartment, and the camera shows an alarm clock indicating the time is 5:54pm. We learn a few minutes later that they are going to accelerate the build out schedule for the new restaurant to three months, with a tentative opening on May 31st, which means this episode is presumably taking place around February 28th or so... the sun typically sets in Chicago in late February around 5:40pm, but the clock reads 5:54pm, and it's still fully bright outside. Not possible.
Marcus at the hospital is so relatable. I would moisturize my Dad's hands and legs when he was in the ICU because hospital lotion is trash and trying to convey to the nursing staff that my Dad can't be ashy..🥹

Each week we inch closer and closer to Fishes and Forks. Some of my FAVORITE pieces of cinema ever created. Im especially excited for Erics reaction!
Fishes have to be served so Forks can shine.
I'ma be so real with you, I don't know if I can watch Fishes again. It's a masterpiece but FUCK no
So excited for forks! 🎉
I love that Calvin said “the only thing that works is the walk-in” lol
I cant wait to see their reaction to the last ep 😂😂
The motifs and their symbolism smack hard this season, cold/fridges being one of them
I didn’t even think about that, that’s so funny😭
It's kinda how they asked during succession season 1 "Is Connor the eldest son?" I almost spat out my coffee 😂
I love her reaction to Syd asking if she wants to be her Sous. That smile of disbelief, that someone recognizes her abilities as a chef.
She reminds me of my abuela so hard working but always under recognized
Me too ! At first, I was like yo what's her problem?but I realized she was scared and missed Mikey! She makes me cry everytime !
Tina and Ritchie have 2 of the best and most natural character growth arcs in all of tv history. I absolutely HATED these characters during the first few episodes of season one, and now I love them so much I can’t imagine the show without them.
I know Ritchie’s character development episode is soooo good 😊
I think it helps when it becomes transparent that they only act that way to start because they're afraid of more change without Mikey. I always liked the both of them somewhat, but you can see where they've been coming from that way
This season is sooo good, looking forward to see more, wish it was more then once per week 😄
this season does such a beautiful job at spotlighting characters who didn't get it in s1 and i'm very excited for you guys to experience it
Tina getting the offer to be the sous chef was great. Considering how angry she was in season one with Syd, to get to this point. great character development.
Mythical reactor “Moshpit Eric” made an appearance as the credits rolled😂
The book that Richie was talking about is, "Colourless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage" by Haruki Murakami
Don't forget Sid told Carny the gas is OFF till they get their inspection, that's why nobody's back there experimenting with menu ideas. That's actually a major plot point this season is getting fire back.
*Carmy
Damn autocorrect pulled a fast one, I didn't even notice for a week.
I love how Aaron now has accepted Eric's "Yes, cousin!".
I always wonder why this show is classed as a comedy and not a drama but man the "jewish lightning" scene is actually comedy gold.
It's one of the funniest shows I've seen
apparently, 30 minute runtime = comedy, 60 minute runtime = drama
I found it hilarious that “Succession” while being a ‘drama’ was deliberately funny as often as “The Bear” is deliberately dramatic and tense; and as a drama, “The Bear” hits better
I would classify the show as a dramedy.🙂
The season of personal growth has begun!! Looking forward to seeing your reactions to so many great things, so I hope y'all are ready for it :)
Seeing Anthony Bourdain's picture got me. It's been almost 6 years, and it still feels shocking that he's gone, man
Same… I have a feeling Uncle Tony would publicly hate this show, but mainly because it hit deep and personal to so much of his pangs
I understand the intention behind your first sentence but I initially thought you were saying something completely different😂🤣
Phrasing
I would consider Anthony Bourdain a good looking guy but damn...just seeing his picture gotchu that excited?😂😂😂
@@ladyhotep5189 😂😂😂😂 Oh shit!! I totally didn't even put that together
Aaron saying ‘ theirs money in the spaghetti sauce ‘ scratched and itch in my brain
There is always money in the spaghetti can!
"A... f the Red Sox"
Sugar became one of my favorite people in "The Bear" with that line.
Seeing Eric and Aaron rock out to New Noise at the end filled me with so much joy. That is one of the quintessential punk songs of all time and it is used so well in this show as Carmie’s kind of theme song.
Got my BERF shirt from Amazon 😁
I want everyone to realize Harold ramis and the production of this still smells like a john Hughes movie, it’s so god damn great…….he was a life long Chicagoan, the music and everything still screams a unique style. I wish film makers would continue this style….
Furthering the John Hughes feel…that Molly Ringwald cameo in season 1.
I'm glad you moved on to season 2 after finishing 1. 👍🏽

I love metal head Eric
Alright, if you guys could just watch and release all of the remaining S2 episodes now, that'd be great!
We know what we’re all waiting for now…THAT episode 😁😁😁😁
such a great premiere
I love this season! Really excited to see your reactions
Richie’s muffled “Yeah Bitch” in the background when the alarm shuts off was hilarious
I love the reaction when Refused’s “New Noise” came on. Y’all should’ve opened up the pit! 🤘🏻🤣
Richie's season begins 🤌
I get so hyped every time the music queue for New Noise plays.
Season 2 of this show is so good it made me forget why i loved season 1.
So happy to watch this with you guys. I appreciate. Eric’s former restaurant experience
love Richie so much this season
Hey, Miami Vice is the reference for the alarm system
Frankly, I was shocked at how good this show was, and has improved. Also, how much I enjoy it
Man ''New Noise'' is so good 13:45
The character development of every character in season 2 is amazing
God, this season is sooo good. Episode 7 is just pure TV perfection.
Yesss guys, pumping em out!!!
Season 2 of this show is on another level
Can't wait to see the Forks episode reaction. My favorite episode of the whole show. Character favorites changed that episode ❤
Richard & Tiffany Jerimovich's daughters name is Eva, Eric, Aaron, and Calvin.
Sydney and tinas relationship development is so cute ❤
The biggest question to me in this episode is why on Earth Michael, who lived on the south side, would be a fan of the wrong Sox team.
😂😂
So cool that they used Bruce Hornsby. Gofastboatsmojito😂
Wouldn't have taken Eric being a mosh pit type with that cardigan lol
Tina is the best!
I can't wait for them to see episode 6
Only 4 more episodes till I welcome you to my front door!

Not possible.
Having Fallout and The Bear on Sunday is so great, just wish Eric was also reacting to Fallout.
why isnt he?
So here’s The Thing: Ebon gets do a lot with Richy this season
Series 1, Ep 7 of Jewish Lightening is amazing.
jewish lighting might be the funniest shit ive heard
God I love this season.
Marcus is that dude.
Sadly I have not seen a single reactor catch the family pictures in this episode showing a particular actress.
You can smell car exhaust?
5 weeks till Fishes
Or just 1 if you go beyond!
20:21 👀🤫
It was 100% Paul Rudd
👍🏾
I’m just here waiting for 2x6 😢
Loved your reaction as always. You should watch society of the snow. It's a great movie and I would love to hear what you have to say about that one
Is this show pro-gentrification?
Marcus at the hospital is so relatable. I would moisturize my Dad's hands and legs when he was in the ICU because hospital lotion is trash and trying to convey to the nursing staff that my Dad can't be ashy..🥹
