I met my husband at this show in Orlando FL on Thursday 2/12/09. Travis Meeks talented music brought us together. 15 yrs later we're in our living room listening to this album & reminiscing that night & our love for this music. Thank you Travis! We love you man!

A musical genius. Been listening to Travis for over 20 years, so thankful I got to see him live twice, I hope one day to see you back out there, but most importantly, I hope you’re doing well. ❤❤❤❤❤
I remember hearing DOTN for the first time around 1995, maybe 1996. I was hooked instantly. My girlfriend (now my wife) took me to see DOTN at House Of Blues in Chicago. I think she was just happy to hear something else in my car besides Alice In Chains. 😂
How did I not get this earlier. My father who passed away not so long ago... he loved the Green album....I can't believe "Purple" has been around for so long....not knowing this was availabls for so long I feel ashamed....
Your music connects to something deeply unexplainable in my soul in a way that no other single musician has ever been able to do. I dont really understand the world anymore and perhaps I never did, but I know the world is a much better place with your music in it. Thank you Travis Maestro Meeks. Thank you, thank you, thank you.
Many of these I heard live but finally get to hear the studio version. Thanks for this upload, been a fan since the beginning. Despite all of the craziness i find it amazing to how much music Travis has created and most of it unofficially published.
Only 2 songs in and I'm convinced there must be some conspiracy to keep great music like this from seeing the light of day...all the cookie cutter pop/rock crap that's out there making millions, selling out concerts and music that has such raw talent and emotion in every song is relegated to the shadows.
I believe I can explain that conspiracy. The reason why talented artists are relegated to the shadows and awful music is making millions of hits, is because the media industrial complex has monopolized the cycle of production of today's mainstream music in order to fulfill various dubious standards. These standards only ensure the cycle's consistent success. For example, when you have the most popular genre of music in today's generation consisting mainly of instructional guides on how to go to prison - that is only going to ensure that our society maintains a prison system, in order to stay intact. Basically, the media scrutinizes all ideas of identity, morality and values - just to sell more, and make sure our people are programmed and hardwired to be complacent as the heart of that system. You can't have a prison or a plethora of problems, without the people having the problems themselves, so they just create media that promotes the problems to the people - just to get richer and more powerful from those problems destroying the people. As for Travis, he didn't want this material out there because he simply wasn't finished with these albums up to his standards as an artist. However, life goes on - and the more he went through his own trials in life - that material just kept sitting and collecting dust as it stayed in some dark corner undiscovered. That was, until I created this channel and kind of/somewhat sort of helped Travis reached a place that isn't total personal hell. He is currently taking baby steps to getting back up on his feet, and from conversations my friends and I have had with him, seems ambitious on releasing new Days material and performing again. He's also staying off the bad stuff, too, which is good. Fun fact: the whole reason his addiction started was because he took to it as a stress relief while dealing with the pressures of the music industry. During the production cycle of the Red album, they forced Travis to rerecord the entire album, just so it can fulfill mainstream standards at the time. Basically, he created an amazing orchestral rock record, and the label refused to even release it because they wanted Travis to be another Puddle of Mudd. And that couldn't happen, because he's not that and never was. That just proves my point above even further, because all they cared about was money - and didn't give a shit about music nor talent at all. Hence, why he was dropped by the labels. Nowadays, all they care about is money as well, yet also seem to get off on destroying the minds and lives of impressionable young people in order just to make more.
@@ThirteenTrees yea Orange isn't the real Orange album either it's the labels cut. Those songs are like 10 min long. They wanted him to be post grunge but like cobain he refused. He's true grunge indei philosophy.

@@Ktonrider ohh damn that’s unfortunate to hear. I remember being so excited at the time cause I knew Travis has been wanting to get back into music after his last rehab retreat.
This is amazing huge travis fan for years. I've heard these songs for years and they're better than anything from the previous three albums, and that's saying whole lot. Days of the new forever
Much Love and appreciation for your gift to the world. For being a major bone in my life body. A branch on my tree. For being there in my greatests and darkest times. Thank you. 🌠💜🙏
I appreciate you uploading these songs for free on RUclips. I would gladly pay for this album if you hosted the mp3s somewhere. I saw you live in Baton Rouge in 2007 and met you after the show (which was great btw). I was too nervous to ask you about anything but this album but just wanted to say thanks for all the great music.
Is Travis against putting these out on DSPs like Spotify? If not, as a fan, I’d love to see his work cataloged even if it’s not perfectly recorded. Genius is still in there
Thanks for uploading these man, youre a big inspiration to me / my acoustic and music work in general. Currently working on my first full length album. Theres a track on it thats heavy acoustic rock / a homage to DOTN. I hope when its ready youll give it a listen. Keep on rocking my dude.

T. Meeks is MAGNIFICENT + IS MIGTY + LOVING + FAITHFUL + TRUE. NOT ONLY THAT HE IS SO MUCH MORE.
I knew some songs from the B-Sides. But haven't listened to the whole thing. So refreshing, DOTN is heartfelt music.

He doesn't like others hearing it. He just makes them for him to listen to I guess. He's retired fully now so this is the full load.

Its extremely depressing Travis never released this album officially, it has some of his best work imo.
Yeah if you're depressed and into heroin or meth
Is that why this album appeared on Apple Music for only a couple of days then vanished?
