Bismillah I’m using this series to teach my children tafsir and other etiquettes of Islam. I first studied was the Ramadan 2020. Since 2020 I use this series daily…along with studying the grammar and tajweed. This 30 day series gave me encouragement to continue to learn the dawah skills.
I was really looking forward to this series and I am really happy its released SubhanAllah such a beautiful lecture to listen to during the blessed month of Ramadan Alhamdulilah.
Who are the people giving thumbs down this? Unbelievable! May Allah keep yoi safe brother yasir! Couldn’t handle and made me teary-eyed the whole day!!
AsSalaamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullah wa Barakatu. Bismillah. Alhamduillah for a beautiful series. May Allah reward you and everyone involved for a beautiful presentation.
Alhamdulillah. Indeed, what matter most is the message of the surah. Anyway, my name was inspired by this Surah Al-Kahf with that theory of oness of ALEXANDER and Zuqarnain. 😅 Asalamualaikum.
Important Notes of The Message of The Quran Part 14: Surah Al-Isrā` and Surah Al-Kahf Section - 1 Personal note: السلام عليكم و رحمة الله و بركاته This is Section-1 of the Notes. Section-2, Section-3, and Section-4 are commented in different comments as the notes are too long to be commented on in one comment. Apologies for any inconvenience caused. The personal note ends... Introduction: Both Surah Al-Isrā` and Surah Al-Kahf are linked with each other strongly. The Prophet(SAW) said, “Surah Al-Isrā`, Surah Al-Kahf, Surah Maryam, Surah Taha - These 4 are from my earliest revelations.” So these Surahs are in the first 2-3 years of the Prophet(SAW)’s Dawah. Both of these Surahs are similar in length, 10-12 pages (half a Juz). Surah Al-Isrā` has 111 Ayahs and Surah Al-Kahf has 110 Ayahs. Introduction - Surah Al-Isrā`: The word “Isrā`” means the night journey. It is a reference to the miraculous journey of the Prophet(SAW) from Makkah to Jerusalem (Isrā`) and then ascent to the Heavens (Mi’raaj). The other name of the Surah is Bani Israel (Children of Israel). It is because it has mentions of Children of Israel. There is a very brief history of the rise and fall of the Children of Israel. The overall theme of this Surah is to prove the miracle of the Qur’an in many different ways. Hence there are some beautiful descriptions of the Qur’an in this Surah. Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - Masjid Al-Aqsa, Children of Israel, & Book of Deeds: The Surah begins by the famous Ayah that speaks about Masjid Al-Aqsa being holy and blessed land. It references the miraculous journey of the Prophet(SAW) from Makkah to Jeruselam and then ascent to the Heavens. We reminded of the sanctity of the Holy Land (Masjid Al-Aqsa). The land around the Masjid is itself blessed, so even more so blessed is Masjid Al-Aqsa. Our hearts will always be attached to that Holy Land because Allah has blessed it. We believe that the land should be accessible to all people regardless of their faith and race as had been in history. We are also told that the Children of Israel would be a Blessed Nation as long as they fulfilled the covenant. But if they do not fulfill it, they’ll be punished by Allah sending enemies upon them. In Ayah 9-10, Allah describes the Qur’an. It guides to that which is the best. It always pushes us forward. It gives good tidings to the believers and there is a painful punishment prepared for the disbelievers. (17:9) Verily this Qur'an guides to the Way that is the Straight most. Allah then mentions some of the powerful signs of the night and day. Then, He reminds us that every single one of us will come on the Day of Judgement with the Book of our Deeds. Write a good book that you can be proud of on the Day of Judgement. (17: 13) We have fastened every man's omen to his neck. On the Day of Resurrection We shall produce for him his scroll in the shape of a wide open book, (saying): (17: 14) "Read your scroll; this Day you suffice to take account of yourself." Whatever we read in that Book, we cannot argue with it. This is what we did. Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - 2 Types of People & Over 20 Commandments: (17: 18) If anyone desires immediate benefits, We hasten to grant whatever benefits We will in the present life to whomsoever We please, but thereafter We decree for him Hell wherein he shall burn, condemned and rejected. (17: 19) But he who desires the Hereafter and strives for it in the manner he should, and is a true believer, his striving will come to fruition. Then Allah says a beautiful fact. (17: 20) To all of these as well as those We shall provide the wherewithal of this life in the present world by dint of your Lord's Bounty; and from none shall the Bounty of your Lord be withheld. This shows us that worldly blessings do not indicate Allah’s pleasure. He gives whomever He wills, from the people who chose this world and the people who chose the next world. If a person desires this world, he can do it. But it is the people who desire the next world that get the best of both worlds. Then, Allah gives the most comprehensive list of over 20 concise and diverse commandments. (17: 23) Your Lord has decreed: Here comes the famous commandment of not even making a disrespectful sound to your parents. The diversity of the list is interesting. Some are financial, while others are moral, and yet others are dealing with family. The last one says not to walk on Earth arrogantly. These 20 Ayahs summarise the ethical and moral teachings of our Faith. Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - Tactics of Iblees: This Surah challenges the misconceptions of the people who worship ones other than Allah. The Surah takes on some of their misunderstandings. Allah gives the story of Adam(AS) and Iblees. We learn something new in this Surah - tactics of Iblees. Iblees tells it himself. (16:64) “And incite whoever you can of them with your voice, mobilize against them all your cavalry and infantry, manipulate them in their wealth and children, and make them promises.” But Satan promises them nothing but delusion. Some scholars and even Sahaba say that one of manifestations of the voice of Shaitan are the common musical instruments. Regardless of the Fiqh issue, there is no doubt that the entire music industry is a means of entertainment and sensual pleasures. It is not something upright and wholesome. This is going on from the beginning of mankind. The people who love listening to the Qur’an will not prefer the voices of Shaitan and spend more time will them. We need to cut back on that and immerse ourselves in the Qur’an. Find comfort in the Qur’an. Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - Honoring Mankind: Surah Al-Isrā` has the Ayah that honors mankind as a species. Allah, the possessor of all honor, says that He has honored us. (17:70) Indeed, We honoured the progeny of Adam, and bore them across land and sea and provided them with good things for their sustenance, and exalted them above many of Our creatures. Allah has honored us many degrees and ranks over many of the other creations. Therefore, we must live up to this honor and act in a manner that pleases the One who gave us this Honor. This ends Section-1. Section-2, Section-3, and Section-4 will be posted in different comments. Anyone who thinks I have missed some point is welcome to reply but please give the time in the lecture when Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi talked about it so that I can be sure. JazakaAllah Khair
Assalamualaikum sheikh! I am so grateful to Allah swt first and foremost and then to you for these videos . I have a question here. Aren't the number of people of cave known to Allah swt and whoever He chooses to share it with if any. You said the absolute number 7 ?
When Allah talks about the two groups of righteous people, in surah al-araf, with regards to those who did not commit the sin of trying to trick Allah with the fishing nets I.e. the group who kept advising the ones who were trying to trick Allah and the ones who did not advise and thought that the ones who were trying to trick Allah were doomed. I thought about this for some immediate family members I have- they have moved away from the deen, I.e. they have stopped believing. But I do not advise them and I always feel bad that I am not. I don't advise for several reasons: - because I don't believe they will listen. I know this is wrong because Allah guides whom he wills - because they may start attacking my deen and I am worried that I may not be able to defend my deen in a way that I should. - I am worried they may say something that affects my imaan. Should I be worried about this or should I trust that Allah will keep me strong? - I think also, because I can't have a conversation about it. I always feel drained when I speak to them. I do make duaa for them. But I no longer engage in conversation with them about deen. Am I just making excuses to myself. Should I still be trying? I do feel a constant guilt but I also don't know how best to address this and discuss deen in a way that doesnt make me feel insulted and weak.
I'm much younger than some of my family members and in our culture it's frowned upon to advise our elders so I try to influence them by posting about Islam on my whatsapp/insta story. You should definitely consider studying the Deen more so you won't feel worried about being led astray In sha Allah. And when an opportunity arises, then talk to them in a kind manner. And if they listen alhumdulillah, and if they don't, continue making dua. On the day of judgement, we are all only responsible for ourselves
@@AdmiralShinee aww Jazak'Allah khair for your reply my dear sister. May Allah reward you in all that you do and put barakah in your efforts. May he elevate your (and your family's) ranks in jannah. I do, alhumdulillah, try and find out about the deen but the questions they ask are sometimes things that we don't have clear answers for in our deen, they are things that we don't know the specifics about, we just have to trust Allah. But thank you, I will continue studying and advising when I can. A little early, but Eid Mubarak my dear sister.
Asalam Alakum Shiekh - Hope you are well. You mentioned a few times that the companions of the cave are 7, but in the Quran it says no one knows their numbers. Can you elaborate on this please?
Hello brother can you please send me the link were I can purchase your books please thank you again for all you lectures may Allah continue to give you the strength and energy to do your work ameen.
In verse 13 and 14 Allah says There is a book which is hang with your neck and at the day of judgement that book will hand over to you and will say now read your own book .my question is ;what is that thing which is hanging in our neck which is like data storage
SAW. How did u know they were 7. Quran 18vs22 says we should not speculate on their Nos that only Allah knows their no. So where was it written that they were 7?
Could not the argument be made that one cannot live in the United States without being forced into sin? The question goes beyond the scope of this overview but by living and banking in this country the argument can be made that you are forced to take part in a system of riba. The currency itself (a bill or note) is actually based and backed by debt at interest. That's only one aspect but one I think of often. You could also say that there is some religious persecution in this country as well.
Who else is enjoying the initial poetic introductions by Sheikh Yassir? 😊
I loooooove them!!! 😊
Love it, ma sha allah very inspiring
Totally. Listening in December 2020😁

Important Notes of
The Message of The Quran
Part 14: Surah Al-Isrā` and Surah Al-Kahf
Section - 1
Personal note:
This is Section-1 of the Notes. Section-2, Section-3, and Section-4 are commented in different comments as the notes are too long to be commented on in one comment. Apologies for any inconvenience caused.
The personal note ends...
Introduction:
Both Surah Al-Isrā` and Surah Al-Kahf are linked with each other strongly.
The Prophet(SAW) said, “Surah Al-Isrā`, Surah Al-Kahf, Surah Maryam, Surah Taha - These 4 are from my earliest revelations.”
So these Surahs are in the first 2-3 years of the Prophet(SAW)’s Dawah.
Both of these Surahs are similar in length, 10-12 pages (half a Juz). Surah Al-Isrā` has 111 Ayahs and Surah Al-Kahf has 110 Ayahs.
Introduction - Surah Al-Isrā`:
The word “Isrā`” means the night journey.
Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - Masjid Al-Aqsa, Children of Israel, & Book of Deeds:
The Surah begins by the famous Ayah that speaks about Masjid Al-Aqsa being holy and blessed land.
On the Day of Resurrection We shall produce for him his scroll in the shape of a wide open book, (saying):
(17: 14) "Read your scroll; this Day you suffice to take account of yourself."
Whatever we read in that Book, we cannot argue with it. This is what we did.
Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - 2 Types of People & Over 20 Commandments:
(17: 18) If anyone desires immediate benefits, We hasten to grant whatever benefits We will in the present life to whomsoever We please, but thereafter We decree for him Hell wherein he shall burn, condemned and rejected.
(17: 23) Your Lord has decreed:
Here comes the famous commandment of not even making a disrespectful sound to your parents.
The diversity of the list is interesting. Some are financial, while others are moral, and yet others are dealing with family. The last one says not to walk on Earth arrogantly.
These 20 Ayahs summarise the ethical and moral teachings of our Faith.
Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - Tactics of Iblees:
This Surah challenges the misconceptions of the people who worship ones other than Allah.
Contents of Surah Al-Isrā` - Honoring Mankind:
Surah Al-Isrā` has the Ayah that honors mankind as a species.
Jajakullahu khairan.
I want subtitles sir,please!
Assalamualaikum sheikh! I am so grateful to Allah swt first and foremost and then to you for these videos . I have a question here. Aren't the number of people of cave known to Allah swt and whoever He chooses to share it with if any. You said the absolute number 7 ?
This series slaps corona virus everyday lol
Coronavirus makes tasbeeh of Allah and probably loves hearing the Quran 😂
31:55 why did he not include the story of Adam? It’s a story too making the story count to 5
When Allah talks about the two groups of righteous people, in surah al-araf, with regards to those who did not commit the sin of trying to trick Allah with the fishing nets I.e. the group who kept advising the ones who were trying to trick Allah and the ones who did not advise and thought that the ones who were trying to trick Allah were doomed. I thought about this for some immediate family members I have- they have moved away from the deen, I.e. they have stopped believing. But I do not advise them and I always feel bad that I am not. I don't advise for several reasons:
- because I don't believe they will listen. I know this is wrong because Allah guides whom he wills
- because they may start attacking my deen and I am worried that I may not be able to defend my deen in a way that I should.
@@user-nc2fk1jy8l Wa jazakumullahu khairan! Eid mubarak to you too 😅 it's almost the other one

You could also say that there is some religious persecution in this country as well.
surah isra has 109 verses by the way not 110
In my Quran print from Madina, Surat Al-Isra has 111 verses.
@NasseebahM oh my mistake it's 111 verses 😂
