It always breaks my heart to see Alec so guilty about Jocelyns death. Even though he was possessed, he still blames himself... 💔😭
Magnus is the goAT! I have such a love for this episode, and love whenever Alec stands up for himself and Magnus too, especially the moment with Maryse in the office. Although, definitely feels like this ep is the first proper moment of sympathy for Maryse by seeing her very stern outward self crack. Figured you'd find Magnus dipping during the family drama on the balcony with Max funny 😅
People often forget that kids have zero filter and will tell people the truth about ya.
This was a great episode! We got Alec’s intense lingering guilt, 19:40 a show of Magnus’ power, more of Maryse (controversial character but I appreciate the development she gets in this ep. and the way the actress plays her). Overall I love the new lighting and aesthetic choices this season. Magnus’ loft looks so much better than in S1!
Loved Magnus's little battle, i was so invested lmao. I also love Raphael and Izzy together, it starts off a bit rough because of Izzy's yin fen addiction but we learn so much from Raphael as a character as well. Those 3 characters are my literal top 3 of the show lol.
Magnus would be my top 3 in any show 😅 I like Rafael because of the portrayal of... spoilers (but let's say that he portrays a trait that is unusual for how vampires are usually portrayed - iykyk ;) ) - I find him very interesting for that reason
@@reallollabunny Yeah and Raphael was like one of the very first on screen characters who are confirmed "Spoiler" which is amazing.
@@Kara-nt3ki I imagine he was, yes. I didn't even need the confirmation - the portrayal was great and all in the community felt it. it was such a great departure from the usual "we want a different vampire, so we will make him depressed/vegan" :D
This is one of my favorite episodes to rewatch!! It's just such a fun and drama filled time lol. Though the second hand embarrassment does also get to me sometimes xd.
I like that they leave it a while before they start altering the screen and stuff, to make it seem real. And good on you picking up on the cat! I don't believe I did when I first watched it.
Izzy and Raphael are getting into dangerous businessss 😬. There does seem to be something there though 👀. Beyond the blood, or at least they're kind of acting like it. I like how you immediately thought of them with the next episode's title! I genuinely don't remember how much they're in it but I like when you notice little details like that, even if the detail is unintentional.
We did see Luke, but it was only at the very beginning lol. He does have a point with the Downworlders thing though 😬 but I get why Clary and Jace didn't tell anyone. And I LOVE that you addressed the cooks lol, I'm always wandering about them xD.
Congrats Simon!! Finally got with Clary, after a season and a half (and their whole lives really lol)!! It is kinda egh thinking of Maia though :/. Poor Maia :(. Jace is also going through it but that's his problem xD.
Jace and Magnus's scene is iconic lol :) xD. It's also sweet, and we don't get to see them interact much as of yet so it's cool. But the "ಠ_ಠ wait" moment is so hilarious xD. Those idiots lol (all of them). Anyway, they can tell they both care about Alec

I kinda cringed when Clary & Simon kised
I think this show singlehandedly turned me into a multi-shipper. Almost every combination of characters is so enjoyable to watch! Maia/Simon, Simon/Clary, Izzy/Simon, Izzy/Clary, Jace/Maia, Izzy/Raphael, Jace/Meliorn, Raphael/Simon all good stuff! Magnus/Alec is of couse iconic. And there are great dynamics I file under the strictly platonic catgory too. Jace&Alec&Izzy siblings relationship is one of my favorite dynamics in the show. Alec&Clary, Magnus&Clary, Magnus&Raphael, Luke&Clary, Magnus&Jace again all good stuff! And I love Jace&Clary too, but they're firmly filed under "it's complicated" currently 😅
Regarding Izzy having two of the "logo" runes 😆 I like to think the one on her arm is the real one and the one on her chest is a tattoo she got just cause she wanted to.
