Thanks for the upload. Makes me miss all these oldies because it was always promoted in the beginnings or endings of other movies. Do you have any more oldies? If so, may you upload them up and share them? Thanks!!
Sorry. I don’t have much. I’ve only uploaded videos that my mom was a part of. She wasn’t a part of this one, but these main actors were also in Vaj Yim Leej with her.
It’s mainly about how he was basically asked to go to the “other world” with the dead. He went and his wife was supposed to not bury him. Otherwise, his physical body will die and his spiritual self wouldn’t be able to come back. But his relatives buried him so he died. He basically came back for her. So when he asked for her wrap, that was him taking her with him.
@@Zouaxiong14 thanks but she couldn’t see him the first time when he came back cus he was already buried. How was she able to see him the second time at the crossroad when she hugged him?
@@disappearintothesea she was able to see him because she was waiting for him during an auspicious time where the living could see the dead - he and a whole group was returning back to earth from a gathering. In actuality there would’ve been a whole procession of people but I’m sure for budget costs, they only showed him. And after that, he would appear to her so she could see him whenever he wanted her to see him. You need to understand the Hmong culture and be familiar with hmong folk tales to grasp the concept of why the dead and living can see each other.
@@cmfsobl Thanks for explaining. As kid, this movie was just entertainment so logic didn't really matter. I admit I don't know much about Hmong folklore.
yes he took her with him and that's how she died. she was happy to go with her dead husband. she was forced by her inlaws[uncle] to marry the cousin. her dead husband asked her for her pink hlab. she was happy to give her pink hlab to her dead husband. As he took it off, he took her away.
The pink sash was symbolic of her life. She was willing to give her life to him so they could be together in death At the end, when she gets to heaven, she meets his new wife which she calls “ntxawm yau” because both their names are “ntxawm”. She says: Ntuj raug, kuv xub raug. Teb raug, kuv xub raug. Koj tsis zam kuv mas yeej tsis tau. “I came first and I was here first”. She tells ntxawm yau that she and lauj tuam have ALWAYS been together since the existence of time and that Ntxawm Yau, who married lauj tuaj after she did, needs to submit to her.

😂😂 I guess you must not understand hmong too good but I do agree the story doesn't really make sense

Can someone explain the ending for me? So he took her with him? What were they saying at the end?

Would love to get the song at the end
I think all the song in this movie the oringnal singer name is call Sy Lee
Yeah it’s Sy Lee. For a fact.
It's called Txhob Txiav Wb Txoj Kev Hlub by Sy Lee
What is the song at 26:25 any one has it on RUclips?
Idk the name of the song but the singer is Sy Lee. Or something like that. He’s an 80’s-90’s singer. He did all of those Bollywood songs in Hmong.
Zaj mov ve no yog leej twg tso thiab pab neeg ua mov ve li cas lwm
Tus tso rau hauv RUclips no ces yog kuv. Hos pab neeg uas ua zoo li yog Xoblaim Pictures. Kuv tsis nco qab lawm.
The movie is great but the movie is just so badly off
