  • Just a quick update letting you know whats to come and what I've been doing. I've been busy modelling the 2 stroke V4 GP motor and making a chassis for the 144cc V twin.
I am yet to measure the bore of the cylinder but other than the C port core moving during casting the quality seems alright.

Just some small tolerances at the 85cc-cylinder - don't worry! Your projects look fantastic!!

try getting a hold of the yelowish plating cylinders as those together with DT230 Lanza stuff are made by Loncin with a "Yamaha licensing"

Good to know. Lifan stuff isn’t half bad either, my Lifan motors have survived serious abuse.

Can I ask if you’re from NewZealand iapplaude what you’re doing and I’m enviousAF love this type of vid! Go hard Bro I’m wanting to build a little 1200 cc V12 so firstly looking inton lost foam casting a 4340 one of those primary gear and can chain gears will need machining and I have yet too find the info u need to calculate the counterweight sizes for the crank

Thanks. I am in NZ, I’m from Palmerston North.
To figure out the counter weight you need to know the weight of the rod and piston first. Then you have to decide on a balance factor, it’ll probably be around 50%. You can probably simulate the weight on the computer to get you close.
