The Agenskalns Tirgus (tirgus is Latvian for market) building is open everyday. The upstairs food court is open until late. The building is closed for cleaning on advertised days.
Nice video, thanks! FYI 9:12 It’s “Dod pieci!” (High Five!) charity marathon, a part of an international project called “Serious Request”, in which radio DJs in different European countries broadcast for a week from a special glass studio, putting the focus on a specific group or socially relevant topic chosen by the charity marathon. Everyone is invited to donate in exchange for hearing their favourite song on the radio.
What a wonderful Christmas market in Riga! 🎄✨ The enchanting atmosphere, sparkling lights, and beautiful architecture make this city the perfect place to experience the magic of Christmas. Thank you for sharing this lovely tour! Best wishes, Chiara & Donato Fuoridalsentiero. Merry Christmas! 🎁
An excellent video. A special call out to Andris Kreislers (the Director) and his team of the Old Riga Christmas Market. The market was set up in 2000 specifically to bring back holiday Christmas traditions in Latvia and keep it non commercialized and be an outlet for cottage industries while being a destination for Europeans to experience a real Christmas Market.

Also, this year the donations were record high, and they managed to raise over 1million for cancer patient medicine
Cool, thanks! Wasn't sure what it was
I saw high numbers on their board. Thanks!

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I think it was one of my favorite markets this season!
Merry Christmas to you…’see you’ here in the new year.
Beautiful midtime style atmophere in old Rīga, historical capital of Livonia
It was one of my favorite markets of the year!
I still need to check out the market, the only thing missing is the snow
*The first decorated Christmas tree in history stood on that spot.
