The Royal Mile, located at the heart of Scotland's historic capital, Edinburgh, is one of the most iconic streets in the world. It runs between two symbolic landmarks: Edinburgh Castle at one end, perched atop an ancient volcanic rock, and the Palace of Holyroodhouse at the other. Over the course of its 'Scots mile' length, approximately one mile and 107 yards, it offers a journey through centuries of Scotland's turbulent history. The area teems with landmarks, museums, and traditional pubs, creating a unique fusion of antiquity and vibrancy. Walking the Royal Mile, one steps into Scotland's rich tapestry of history, culture, and tradition, a must-visit when exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Edinburgh's Old Town.

Hi Shaun. My sons and I were landing there just as the Queen died last year. Needless to say there were a lot of things going on the first days we were there. But we did have two weeks there, tours into the Highlands for the first week then a car rental for the second. Love, loved it!
