Yes winter is not far away. Good to have the wood cut and ready to heat the home. It is refreshing to see someone actually wearing all the safety gear while doing this.......Take care, Bluefin.

Boy, I wish I was your neighbor for I'd be there with you cutting and splitting wood. I miss the days of doing that myself when I had my own home. Now it seems like my purpose is helping friends whose health is failing. I just returned from a friend's house in the mountains of New Hampshire where I went to down, cut, and stack some trees for him. His back isn't good. How great it was to get up there and out of the city to help a friend. Kevin, I'm 73 and a health and fitness junkie and always looking for different forms of exercise and cutting and splitting wood in the great outdoors is awesome. It's never work for me, it's always exercise that keeps me healthy. Hopefully, you continue to build on your strength, conditioning, and nutrition and your past issues are far behind you. My battle cry is NO EXCUSES!

Oh my gosh, what a pile of logs! You sold me on the Bluetti brand a few years back, and I purchased my first Bluetti portable inverter only just a few months ago. That in turn, however, has led me to their whole-home solar systems, which will be PERFECT for my elderly mother who, even if she wanted to, could not possibly chop wood anymore or get Dad's old generator going, GRHS (God Reuse his Soul). Wouldn't it be a fun video to see how many logs you would have to chop to keep up with the average Bluetti solar-home system? 😃

Ha, now that might make an interesting video. I don't know how many years I can keep this up but for now wood is probably our cheapest option without investing in a heat pump or some other system.

Wow - that was a lot of wood you cut! How much do you go through every winter?

I just cut down 60 diseased pines. Nobody wants pine for their stoves here. Only oak

Find someone who has a Rocket Mud Stove. Pine is perfect!

Birch is the best wood around here but I will burn anything in my outdoor wood stove. I can see people not wanting to burn resinous pine as it can gum up the pipes.
