I have a pet theory regarding the usage of Beam Sabre for straight blades. You see, around the time sabres were used by the Japanese (early 1900s) a sabre was often straight (See British 1894 or American 'sabre's from a similar period.) Combine that with the American usage of Sabre meaning any military sword, and beam saber just kind of fits. Additionally, while the Japanese had experienced true sabres during their observation of the Franco-Prussian war and the following Sino-Japanese war, it's reasonable to assume that the word didn't come into usage until a fair bit after, and, mixed with the American influence, it isn't a leap to call beam sabres sabers. (I'm alternating the spelling on purpose by the way, since both are equally acceptable.) As for calling these swords in particular, I'd imagine it has to do with the Japanese word Tachi, which means sword, but also means a curved sword of a specefic length. So in this context "Sword" might mean larger curved blade while sabre might mean mass-produced shorter blade.

hello Kakarot197 The O is a great kit I found. Its rather big, its got very few decals, enough areas to make pannel lining interesting. I LOVE LOVE LOVE Zeta and its mobile suits. I didn't like ZZ until about the last 10-15 eps but I LOVED most of the mobile suits. The Bawoo is aces (still looking for the Re\100 Bawoo :( ), all the Quebley variations, the Queen Mansa yum yum yum (I would KILL for a Bandai 1\100 Queen Mansa and PsycoGundam MkI and MKII), PsycoGundam oh man such good mobile suit design. To bad it was wasted on such a poor poor show. Oh well to each their own.
i don't know if you mentioned it but the horizontal block of red on the arms should be painted grey. Also, yeah, those should totally be vulcan guns. I don't know why every source just ignores this. They were obviously drawn AND modelled to be vulcans.
I haven't heard enough Asians with an extremely obviously Western European accent to even associate a voice that sounds like his with Asians, I was amazed to hear anyone thought that.
Here's a question, What roles do THICC MS' fit? I mean at close range it's be good, but a lack of maneuverability would be bad, Long range could be good, but what's the point of all that armor?
The o is a close range fighter with high mobility and the thickness of the armor is its main reason for being bulky it is made of gundarium to be beam resistant
this will always be one of those suits that really isn't the most ascetically pleasing, still love it though. zeta wouldn't be zeta without it and it's pilot.
At some point I should make a video about 90s gunpla. The 90s gunpla is nothing compared to today's. There was always stuff falling off, lots to paint, and poor quality plastics.

Oh damn just as big as the Zaku III if we count as overall size of it with the only thing showing off is the The-O's head is taller than the Zaku III's head.
Sorry, but I'll never buy that. Anything from Zeta that is not a Gundam looks like little kids drawing turned into machine. Sometimes I wish I never watch this goddamn show. PS. Yes, Barzam, I still love you.
To each their own I guess. I think a lot of Zeta suits look great in a different ways including The O. They're by far way more elegant and creative than 0079 and Victory grunts. Would you say Zock, Elmeth, Agguguy, Bigro, Zakrello, etc. look better? Zeta has Qubeley, Gaza C, Byarlant, Gaplant, Palace Athene, Zssa, Methuss, Messala, and Hambrabi that are awesome even if you don't prefer The O.
I love that you are always reviewing more obscure kits instead of trying to ride the wave of everyone reviewing the new stuff.
you know it's impressive that an HG kit from 2002 has the working skirt sub-arms while the RE/100 Nightingale mind you is from 2014 lacks them.
And the MG The-O only comes with 2 beam blade instead of the 4 he needs. :(
And Bandai couldn't engineer foldable sub arms for the thunderbolt kits

What roles do THICC MS' fit?

This suit has tons of thrusters to make it quick and maneuverable. And the armor can resist the quebley's funnels
