    You’re a life saver man. Both my wing mirrors were stolen a couple months back and it’s been such a pain to find correct replacements and now I know how to put them on myself and remove what’s left of the old ones. Can’t wait to drive her again!

    After my wife very kindly smashed the off-side wing mirror I was thankful for your video. I just removed the damaged item but a couple of comments for anyone else doing this. When removing the door panel, the advice "Just give it a yank" will more than likely break one or more of the clips holding the panel on. In my case two broke. Car manufacturers use these cheap, push-on clips with no thought for anyone having to take the panel off. Cheap jack shit design in my opinion.
    However, moving on, the door release handle can be fed through the hole in the door panel without undoing the clip saving a bit of aggro when you put the panel back. Lastly, if you look at the video again when the panel comes off you will see some white mastic on the door. There is a layer of polythene lining the whole door which has to be peeled off to give you access to the door. That mastic (in my case at least on a 2004 Jazz) must be the stickiest, most obnoxious substance every invented. Yet again another cheap jack shit solution never meant to come off (easily).
    One last tip. If you do drop anything into the door there is a reasonably large access hole at the other end of the door where you can get your hand in to retrieve the item. You do have to peel back the polythene though and run the gauntlet of the mastic again.

    Very good instructional video. Turns out I should only have to replace the mirror glass, just went to Honda and they are out of stock but it will arrive in 2 days. Only 233 Baht (about a fiver) here in Thailand :)

    Just wanted to add a thank you on here. Easy to follow video, even for me. And yes, I did lose one of the nuts behind the door, but thankfully another commenter mentioned they drop into an accessible void and with the help of a long chopstick I was reunited with all the needed bits to complete the job.

    My 2007 honda jazz doesn't have the indicator and the plug only has 3 wires.. I got a replacement but this has 5 wires.. 2 extra black ones.. The bolts appear to be in the right places
    .. Think gonna have to have it without moving mirror control.. Any comments please..

    Thank you for uploading the video, it’s very helpful. But does it any matter if I drop the socket to the very bottom? And can you please give me some clue how not to slipped off again if I try to put back those sockets without electronic wrench?

      Use a magnet to start the bolts that's always a good idea if you keep dropping

      The nuts are 10mm, but the 3/8 driver is too small and the 7/16 is too big. What size should I get in your opinion?

    I have the problem where someone drove past and smacked my mirror. Somthing in it has become detached You can here the mirrir trying to drive like an electric motor sound...this is the passenger side. I was quoted 500 quid a quarter of the car value. All I want to do is disconect the mirror to stop the sound the mirror is the right position and can be manually moved. Is it possible to simply disconnect it OR will it mess up the computer or do anything bad? Thanks mate very informative video.

    • @rstv84
      @rstv84 Год назад +1

      It won't do anything bad if you disconnected. 500 is well over priced for a mirror replacement just remove the door xard and disconnected the block connector
